[00:11:37]And uniqueness is intolerable to the collective mind, which prefers conformity. Thus, your individuation is always a threat to the herd.

[00:14:40]Every time someone envies you, you are given the chance to deepen your individuation.

[00:14:48]For envy forces you to ask, "Do I shine for applause or do I shine because I must?" If you need applause, then envy will destroy you.

[00:15:01]But, if you shine because it is your nature, then envy will purify you.

[00:15:08]You will learn to stand in your light without external confirmation. This is the ultimate initiation.

[00:15:15]To be loyal to the self, even when the world turns against you. In this sense, those who secretly wish you to fail are your teachers.

[00:15:27]They reveal whether your light is genuine or borrowed.

[00:15:31]They strip you of illusions.

[00:15:34]They force you to anchor yourself in the inner center where no praise or blame can shake you.

[00:15:41]Thus, the paradox, the ones who envy you may also be the very ones who help you grow.

[00:15:50]If you can bless them for this hidden gift, then you transcend resentment.

[00:15:56]You no longer need them to applaud you, nor do you fear their arrows. You stand like the mountain in the dream, pierced, yet radiant, enduring, yet transparent.

[00:16:12]You may notice, as you walk further upon this path, that the more sincerely you live from your inner center, the sharper the contrast becomes with those around you who have not yet faced their own shadows.

[00:16:29]At first, you may think it is a misunderstanding, something that can be corrected by explanation, by kindness, by dialogue.

[00:16:42]But you will soon discover that this resistance is not rational. It is archetypal.

[00:16:49]You cannot reason with the archetypes.

[00:16:52]You can only recognize them, name them, and integrate your relationship to them.

[00:20:01]And so it will be with you when your self begins to shine through your life.

[00:20:07]There will always be a Judas nearby. He may be disguised as a friend, as a confidant, perhaps even as part of your own psyche.

[00:20:20]But he will arise for the pattern is eternal. Now, what shall you [music] do when you meet your Judas?

[00:20:29]Many are tempted to rage, to despair, to close their hearts forever.

[00:20:36]But this only binds you to the betrayal.

[00:20:40]The deeper path is to see Judas not as an enemy but as an initiator.

[00:20:46]For without betrayal, the light cannot be tested.

[00:20:51]Without the wound, the self cannot reveal its strength.

[00:20:56]The betrayal is the crucible in which your radiance is purified from dependence on external affirmation. It forces you to anchor yourself in the eternal rather than the fleeting applause of men.

[00:21:17]Projection is one of the most powerful mechanisms of the unconscious.

[00:21:23]Whatever we cannot face in ourselves, we see in another.

[00:21:29]And so, when you shine, people project upon you their own unlived life, their own denied shadow, their own secret fear of insignificance.

[00:21:49]It is not really about you. It is about them. You have become the screen upon which they project their disowned self.

[00:39:29]Not everyone who sees your light will secretly wish you to fail.

[00:39:33]Some will recognize in you the spark of their own buried self. They will feel drawn, inspired, even liberated.

[00:39:44]In this way, your shining becomes a catalyst for their own individuation.

[00:39:53]The same light that awakens envy in some awakens courage in others.

[00:39:59]And you cannot control which reaction you will evoke.

[00:40:04]Your task is only to shine, to be faithful to the self, and to trust that the light will do its work. This dual reaction, envy in some inspiration in others is inevitable.

[00:40:24]You cannot have one without the other.

[00:40:27]If you desire only admiration, you will be disappointed.

[00:40:33]If you fear only envy, you will remain paralyzed.

[00:40:38]But if you accept both as natural responses to light, you will no longer be bound by them.

[00:40:46]You will know that envy is not proof of your failure, nor is admiration proof of your worth.

[00:40:55]Both are simply mirrors of others inner states. Your worth lies not in their reactions, but in your fidelity to your own soul.

[00:41:05]This is the essence of individuation.

[00:41:08]To live from the center of the self, independent of the fluctuations of collective opinion, here lies a great secret.

[00:41:20]The more you shine, the less you will need others to approve.

[00:41:25]At first, the desire for recognition is strong.

[00:41:30]You want your light to be seen, your efforts to be celebrated.

[00:41:36]But as you grow, you realize that the true joy of shining lies not in being admired, but in being authentic.

[00:41:47]When you are fully yourself, when you embody the self without compromise, you experience a deep peace that no praise can add to, and no envy can take away. This is the inner freedom that individuation brings.

[00:42:08]It is the freedom of being whole. Let me share another dream.

[00:42:13]For dreams are the royal road to the unconscious.

[00:42:18]A man dreamed he was carrying a torch through a city at night.

[00:42:23]People gathered around him.

[00:42:25]Some cheering, others booing, some trying to snuff out the torch.

[00:42:32]He grew anxious, wondering if he should put the torch away.

[00:42:37]But suddenly, a voice spoke from within the torch itself.

[00:42:43]You are not carrying me.

[00:42:45]I am carrying you.

[00:42:47]The man awoke trembling.

[00:42:49]The dream revealed the truth.

[00:42:52]The light does not belong to him. He belongs to the light.

[00:42:56]His task is not to manage the reactions of others, but to remain faithful to the flame.

[00:43:02]And so it is with you.

[00:43:05]When you shine, remember that you are not the origin of the light.

[00:43:11]The self carries you.

[00:43:13]Your only responsibility is to guard the flame and walk the path.

[00:43:19]This realization changes everything.

[00:43:23]For when you understand that the light is not yours, you no longer need to defend it with ego.

[00:43:30]You can endure criticism without collapsing, envy without bitterness, admiration without vanity.

[00:43:42]You become a vessel transparent [music] to the self.

[00:43:48]And in this transparency lies your true strength.

[00:43:52]The collective may resist you.

[00:43:56]Individuals may betray you.

[00:43:58]But you remain anchored in something eternal. The flame within you cannot be extinguished by outer shadows, for it is not of this world.

[00:44:12]It is archetypal, eternal, divine, and yet to live this truth requires constant vigilance.

[00:44:24]The ego will always try to claim the light as its own.

[00:44:29]It will whisper, "Look how brightly I shine.

[00:44:33]Look how admired I am."

[00:44:36]And as soon as the ego claims the light, it becomes vulnerable again to envy, for the ego cannot [music] endure criticism. It cannot survive betrayal.

[00:44:50]Only the self can.

[00:44:52]This is why the path of individuation demands [music] humility.

[00:44:58]True shining is not egoic brilliance, but the humble transparency of the soul aligned with the self. You shine not to glorify yourself, but to serve the wholeness of life.

[00:45:13]And in serving wholeness, you transcend the pettiness of envy. In the end, every time you shine, someone >> [music] >> will secretly want you to fail.

[00:45:28]This is inevitable.

[00:45:30]But the secret is this, their desire has no power over you unless you consent to it.

[00:45:38]The only betrayal that can truly wound you is your own betrayal of the self.

[00:45:45]As long as you remain faithful, the envy of others cannot touch your essence.

[00:45:53]It may wound your ego.

[00:45:55]It may isolate you.

[00:45:58]It may strip you of companions, but it cannot extinguish your flame.

[00:46:02]For the flame is eternal.

[00:46:07]And it belongs to the self. Therefore, let the envy of others remind you of your responsibility.

[00:46:14][music] You are a mirror.

[00:46:18]Whether you wish it or not, you awaken both longing and resentment.

[00:46:24]Accept this.

[00:46:26]Do not shrink from it.

[00:46:28]And do not imagine that you can control it.

[00:46:32]Simply shine.

[00:46:38]Some will hate you.

[00:46:40]Some will love you.

[00:46:41]But both are responses to the same radiance.

[00:46:45]Your task is only to remain faithful to continue carrying the flame, to walk the path of individuation with courage and humility. As we draw deeper into this exploration, you begin to sense the paradox at the heart of existence.

[00:47:07]The very act of shining, of embodying the self, both isolates and liberates you.

[00:47:15]It isolates you because few can bear the mirror of your authenticity.

[00:47:21]And so, you feel the loneliness of walking where many fear to tread.

[00:47:28]Yet it liberates you because you are no longer enslaved to the shifting moods of others, no longer trapped by their envy or their applause. You discover that true freedom is not to be adored, nor to be protected from malice, but to be whole within yourself. This wholeness does not come cheaply.

[00:47:54]It requires you to die to many illusions.

[00:47:58]The illusion that shining will bring universal love.

[00:48:02]The illusion that success will guarantee safety.

[00:48:08]The illusion that authenticity will be celebrated.

[00:48:14]You must let these illusions fall away.

[00:48:17]For they are childish hopes.

[00:48:21]The adult soul knows that shining always casts a shadow.

[00:48:26]And that in every shadow lies the seed of betrayal.

[00:48:31]To accept this is not to grow bitter.

[00:48:34]But to grow wise. It is to understand that life moves in polarities.

[00:48:40]That every light awakens darkness.

[00:48:43]Every ascent provokes resistance.

[00:48:48]Every revelation demands a crucifixion before resurrection. Do not think of crucifixion only in the religious sense.

[00:48:57]It is a universal archetype.

[00:49:00]The image of the soul pierced by the envy of others.

[00:49:04]Abandoned by the crowd it once fed.

[00:49:09]Mocked by the very voices that once praised it.

[00:49:15]You will experience this in your own way.

[00:49:19]Perhaps not upon a literal cross.

[00:49:22]But in the cross of misunderstanding.

[00:49:25]In the silence of those who withdraw their affection.

[00:49:31]In the sting of those who betray you in secret. And in those moments you will ask.

[00:49:37]Why must it be so?

[00:49:39]Why does shining bring with it this pain? The answer is that shining is not for comfort.

[00:49:47]It is for transformation.

[00:49:49]When you embody yourself you cease to live for the shallow security of social approval.

[00:49:58]You live instead for the truth that wells up from the depths of your soul.

[00:50:04]And truth is always disruptive.

[00:50:07]It unmasks illusions.

[00:50:11]It challenges complacency.

[00:50:13]It demands change.

[00:50:15]The collective and even your closest companions may resist this change with all their might. Their secret wish for your failure is their attempt to stop the transformation you embody.

[00:50:32]But you must not yield to this resistance for your light is not yours alone.

[00:50:40]It is part of the great process by which consciousness itself evolves. [music] Think of the alchemists, those strange and symbolic forebears of psychology.

[00:50:54]They spoke of the nigredo, the blackening, in which all that was false had to dissolve before the new substance could emerge.

[00:51:05]When you shine, you invoke the nigredo in others.

[00:51:10]Your light exposes the darkness they have hidden.

[00:51:15]They may hate you for it.

[00:51:17]They may wish you would fail so they can return to the comfort of their illusions.

[00:51:24]But if you endure their hatred without collapsing, something extraordinary happens. The very darkness that rose against you becomes the material of their own transformation.

[00:51:38]You become an alchemical catalyst not because you lecture or persuade, but because you embody the union of opposites, light and shadow, betrayal and fidelity, [music] loneliness and wholeness. This is why I say, do not shrink from envy.

[00:52:01]Do not shrink from betrayal.

[00:52:04]They are not signs that you are on the wrong path. They are signs that you are on the path of individuation.

[00:52:12]If no one resents your light, it may be because your light is still hidden.

[00:52:20]If no one wishes you to fail, it may be because you have not yet dared to embody your full self.

[00:52:29]The presence of envy, the sting of betrayal, the loneliness of shining, these are not curses.

[00:52:38]They are confirmations.

[00:52:41]They mean you are alive to your destiny.

[00:52:45]And what is that destiny? It is not to live in safety, nor to win universal love.

[00:52:54]It is to become whole, to become who you truly are.

[00:52:59]To let the archetype of the self manifest through you.

[00:53:04]When you live from the center, you realize that success and failure are not opposites.

[00:53:12]Both serve the same process.

[00:53:15]For even when you stumble, even when the envy of others seems to pull you down, the self uses the fall for your growth.

[00:53:25][music] Failure is only fatal when you interpret it through the ego's eyes. Through the eyes of the self, even betrayal, even rejection, becomes initiation. I once said that the privilege of a lifetime is to become who you truly are.

[00:53:49]But, I might add the cost of this privilege is to bear the envy of those who refuse the same journey.

[00:53:57]Yet, if you [music] bear it faithfully you discover something greater than privilege.

[00:54:04]You discover freedom.

[00:54:06]Freedom not from suffering but from bondage to the opinions of others.

[00:54:12]Freedom not from loneliness but from the fear of it.

[00:54:18]Freedom not from envy but from the illusion that it can diminish you. So, when you shine and someone secretly wishes for your failure what must you do?

[00:54:33]You must look beyond them.

[00:54:35]See in their eyes not a personal enemy but the shadow that still reigns within them.

[00:54:42]Do not hate them.

[00:54:44]For they are mirrors of your own past struggles.

[00:54:48]Do not yield to them.

[00:54:50]For your flame is needed.

[00:54:53]Do not argue with them.

[00:54:55]For the unconscious cannot be convinced by words.

[00:55:01]Simply shine.

[00:55:03]Hold your flame steadily.

[00:55:05]And if they cannot bear it allow them to turn away. The self will draw to you [music] those who are ready.

[00:55:16]Those who will not envy but awaken.

[00:55:19]Those who will not betray but stand beside you in their own light. Remember too that envy itself can be transformed.

[00:55:33]In its raw form it is destructive.

[00:55:37]A wish for the downfall of the other.

[00:55:41]But if the envious soul faces the truth, envy can become admiration.

[00:55:49]And admiration [music] can become inspiration.

[00:55:54]Your shining, though resisted at first, may one day become the spark that awakens [music] them.

[00:56:04]And so, though you may never know it, your courage to endure envy may save another soul from lifelong shadow. This is the hidden purpose of betrayal. It forces you into deeper authenticity.

[00:56:21]And this is the hidden purpose of envy.

[00:56:24]It prepares the envious for transformation.

[00:56:28]You are part of a vast web of archetypal movements, each soul reflecting, wounding, and healing the other.

[00:56:41]To live in this awareness is to step into the sacred dimension of psychology, where every personal drama is also cosmic, every private wound also mythic. Let me end with this image.

[00:56:57]Imagine yourself [music] standing in a vast cavern, holding a torch.

[00:57:03]Around you are countless figures. Some approach with open hands, longing for light.

[00:57:11]Others shrink back, hissing in resentment.

[00:57:15]Still others throw stones, wishing to break the torch.

[00:57:21]Your instinct may be to extinguish the flame, to return to the safety of darkness.

[00:57:30]But then you realize you are not the torchbearer alone. You are the torch itself.

[00:57:37]The flame is not something you hold. It is something you are. And to extinguish it would be to betray your very soul. So you continue to shine.

[00:57:49]Some will hate you for it.

[00:57:51]Some will love you.

[00:57:53]But the flame is not diminished by their reactions.

[00:57:58]It burns because it must.

[00:58:00]It burns because it is eternal.

[00:58:03]And as you walk with this flame you join the great procession of souls who dared to live as themselves.

[00:58:11]Souls who endured envy betrayal loneliness yet who never betrayed the self.

[00:58:20]This is your path.

[00:58:22]Walk it with courage.

[00:58:24]Walk it with humility.

[00:58:26]And above all walk it with fidelity to the flame that carries you.

[00:58:32]>> [music] >> For every time you shine someone will secretly want you to fail.

[00:58:39]But every time you shine you also awaken another who is waiting [music] to remember their own light.

[00:58:48]And that my friends is how the world is transformed.

[00:58:55]Not by avoiding envy but by enduring it transmuting it and letting the flame of the self shine all the brighter.
