And does that leave the door open? Is the question marks. But what I would have said is, "Look, we were looking at other candidates for the full-time job. You have absolutely smashed it out of the water in terms of getting us Champions League football. There is a few question marks still there about, you know, with better players, can you get this team dominating week in, week out? Can you do it?" There is still that there. "We want to give you a really, really good transfer window. We want to provide you the players to take it up to the next level. We've got a plan in place. We're going to go and get these players. It's going to be brilliant. We're going to give you first chance at the Manchester United permanent job. If you have a brilliant season next season, and you show us why we should trust you on a permanent basis, then we can talk about, you know, giving that contract extension." That's the way I probably would deal with it. United won't do that. I don't think Michael Carrick maybe would want to take that.
