The video provides a structured entry into functional nutrition, though it occasionally masks basic dietary advice with speculative terms like "hepatoneogenesis." It is a helpful resource for holistic health, as long as one distinguishes between supportive wellness and actual clinical intervention.

>> [laughter] >> SO GOOD.
>> [laughter] >> UM YOU JUST HAVE TO be really serious about your health.
See, what a lot of people don't understand and I'm trying to help people break it down that inside your body is crying for nutrients and antioxidants.
It's crying for for for vitamin D, B12, um vitamin C. It's crying for just just things that when you put in your mouth it's pulling that out and the liver is supposed to do a job in detox, the kidney is supposed to do a job.
I mean the blood, the whole thing supposed to do its job. It's a musical symphony.
But if you only focus on your taste buds and your cravings and your addiction, you're in trouble.
That's real.
This is my go-to pre-workout juice using simple, powerful ingredients. I'm starting with beets and we're going to clean them because as you can see they have a lot of dirt on the skin. To wash my beets, I'm adding baking soda and I'm going to let it soak for 15 minutes.
>> Baking soda helps to break down dirt and residue that water alone can miss. It's an easy extra step to make sure your produce is clean before juicing. Even with that said >> Ooh, she put it in baking soda.
Wow, and let it sit for a minute to get all that extra extra extra filth off. I mean that's that's okay.
still peel my beets just in case. And peeling gets rid of that dirt like taste in your juice. I save the stems and leaves because they are packed with nutrients and I'll be juicing those as well. I'm adding oranges because they're great for workouts. They provide energy and vitamin C to support muscle recovery. we got to throw in a lemon.
Lemons help with hydration and they support electrolyte balance which is key before a workout. Adding mint to support oxygen flow and give the juice a refreshing taste. Ooh, this plate looks so pretty. Of course I'm using my Nama J2 juicer. We're coming through in all black. All these ingredients together are perfect for a pre-workout hydration, natural energy and stamina without any artificial stuff. I drink this about 1 hour before my workout to give my body time to absorb all the nutrients so I can perform my best. I can definitely tell the difference on days I drink this juice versus days I don't. Throw that pulp away. I'm using it in my smoothie tomorrow. Stay tuned.
She said she don't throw that pulp away.
I'm digging the fact.
What kind of I I'm not affiliate with that that machine, but wow, that was a pretty [clears throat] I like how it did that and it was quiet. I like that. Mm.
Wow. Appreciate you sister. That was two recipe. What's next? Okay.
What she talk about? Let's see. When it comes to holistic wellness supplements for women, the benefits of organic beetroot cannot be overlooked. Hey, I'm Freddy. I've been in the holistic wellness industry for 27 years. I've seen a lot of fads come and go and I'm here to share with you the ones that are here to stay. 27 years.
Holistic and wellness.
Health is super important for menopausal women and often times goes under looked and under diagnosed. Beetroot is fantastic for heart health. Next up endurance exercise and recovery.
Beetroots contain nitrates which supply more oxygen to the muscles. So therefore, when you're working out, your endurance is longer and more last.
Beetroot is very rich in iron which is essential for women pre and post menopausal. Super rich in antioxidant which contribute to a young youthful glow.
Beetroot also aids in digestion and is good for cognitive health because it improves the blood flow.
And I particularly enjoy the earthiness of beets, but if you don't there are organic beetroot supplements available.
So that you can be sure you're getting your beets every day.
And if you're on your holistic wellness journey, too, well then visit my page for more. Listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen. Those were just regular folks like Kareem telling you about how powerful just a vegetable is. Beet. A beet. Use it any kind of way you want. Just get it in your system. Okay? It's a sleeper.
These next two doctors are going to tell you how much a sleeper they are just in case you want to supplement or if you want to do yourself a liver detox.
Listen here. Let's go.
I have been drinking beetroot powder and >> Is that like from the beet? Yeah, it's extract.
>> Yeah. So So beets are really high in nitrate.
>> Sugar. Well, that's all I think of. They They are high in sugar.
>> Yeah. I'm getting extract that's like low sugar. Okay. But beets are also, besides sugar, high in nitrates.
>> Yeah. And nitrates are found in a lot of different plants, but beets have a You see how they focus on the fact that stuff that's high in sugar?
Because sugar is a problem with the insulin resistance is on the rise and then and that's on the rise and your meta-medication and your insurance is going to rise on the rise. You You You everybody's in trouble. Not going to be able to afford medical insurance. So this is why I tell people like Kareem and people like them are very, very important. Let's go.
Yeah. And nitrates are found in a lot of different plants, but beets have a lot of them.
And when you eat them, nitrates get converted into nitric oxide. Right, which is vasodilator, which increases blood flow. And there've been a host of studies looking at this. Like humans taking beetroot extract, it increases blood flow to the brain, it increases blood flow to the muscle muscles as well. People like endurance athletes like to use it before their endurance run or whatever. It increases blood flow to the brain and that's been shown to improve cognition, activate parts of the brain um that's involved in like whatever task that you're doing, kind of helps activate that machinery.
So you just put it in a smoothie? So what I do is I just put like a big heaping scoop in water and I just take it shot of it. It doesn't taste really great. And so I take that and it gives me a little pump. Like like a little almost kind of like what a you know, a Peloton 10-minute Peloton would do.
Almost sugar.
I like sweets.
So, when I had to go on this journey and let go of my um sweetness and whatnot, sweet tooth, I had to have a replacement.
And monk fruit and allulose and stevia, man, they my friends, okay? So, I'm about to put a little something in there to wake it up. All right? Now, let's listen to this doctor right here break down if you wanted to do yourself a 4-week liver cleanse. Listen how uh they kind of break it down how it's simple and easy.
One of the best things you can do to support and promote a healthy liver is to drink fresh squeezed beet juice over an extended period of time.
Fresh squeezed beet juice over an extended period of time. Let's Let's listen to the rest.
1 oz of beet juice every week increasing by 1 oz until you're at 4 oz a day. So, week 1 1 oz, week 2 2 oz a day, week 3 3 oz a day, week 4 4 oz a day.
And then you stop after week four.
And you can add other things to make it taste better, right? Like carrot Did he say every day? Let's see.
extended period of time.
Like carrot and apple and beet juice is a great tasty combination, right?
Beet juice stimulates the genesis of new liver cells. It's called hepatoneogenesis.
You can surgically remove a 70-something percent of your liver, it'll grow back, right? It's the only organ that can do that.
And there are biochemical processes which stimulate the production of new liver cells.
Beet juice stimulates that process.
So, a good, easy, gentle thing for people to do >> [snorts] >> once a year to help support their liver, which is never a bad idea, is do the beet juice thing.
Yeah, I'm I'm I'm I'm for sure he's talking about do the beet juice thing every day, not just 1 oz a week. Next week, 2 oz once a week. And then 3 oz 1 day that week, and 4 oz 1 day that week.
1 week 4 weeks with the S.
You should have said 30 days.
And each week you increase by 1 oz.
That'll been better so you fully can understand how you do a liver cleanse.
So, first week every day for 7 days 1 oz of beetroot shot. The second week, every day 2 oz.
The third week, every week every day 3 oz.
Every day. Fourth week, every day 4 oz.
That take care of that liver. Wow, man, it helps the LIVER OUT LIKE THAT?
That's wow. Okay, 2015 study, mhm, hypertension. Uh-huh, they improve the vascular or heart. Okay, 2017 study, how they actually improve the endurance, okay, of the body.
A 2000 19 study how blood pressure how it support the blood pressure and antioxidants to your body.
Mhm.
