Crypto's AI Boom - Cardano Could Benefit HugeAdded:
Unless you have been living under a rock, you may have noticed that AI is the next big thing in crypto. Not the buzzword version, not the we added chat GPT to our roadmap version. I mean AI agents that can trade, make you money, spend, build, talk, hack, and get hacked. So here's the problem. The same technology that's about to unlock automated economies on chain is also creating the largest attack surface crypto has ever seen. So today, I want to tell you a story. a story about AI agents running your money, influencers who aren't even real, entire games built by machines and hackers using AI to rip all of it apart. So, let's get into it.
Hi, I'm Linda and if you'd like to see more content like this, make sure to give me a follow. AI agents are the biggest trend in crypto right now. But let's just take a quick step back in time. In the 2021 2022 bull market, markets were a wash with bots. A lot of talented people could run scripts that would buy and sell tokens as prices moved within certain ranges. These bots would make thousands of microtransactions each day. These trades would often only amount to maybe less than a dollar profit per trade. But if you multiply that over thousands of transactions, then it could make real bank. Now, the problem with these bots was that they were dumb. They couldn't see major issues appearing in a market and would often catch a falling knife or make purchases in a market that had no upside. So, who would end up wiping out all of your profits on purchases that had no chance of recovering? They could also only operate in a specific area of protocol and would be completely blind to opportunities elsewhere. So, fast forward to today, AI agents change all of this. They supercharge the bots of old by being able to do everything a human can do and more. So you can tell your agent that you want 25% returns.
The agent then throws through vast amounts of market information faster than any human could. It can then apply large language model reasoning to this information without the same level of bias or misunderstanding that humans have and take these learnings to trade over multiple different platforms or even chains. It can use any style with DeFi or a combination of all. So in short, they can trade, bridge, provide liquidity and yield farm long or short tokens and even place bets. You just tell the agent to grow your portfolio, click go and let the magic happen. And blockchains are scrambling to take the lead in this race. Salana base, Algrand, and Kadano are all positioning themselves to take advantage of their unique chain abilities. Salana's speed, Hegar's instant finality, and Kadano's deterministic EUTXO architecture all present interesting advantages. And with all the noise around AI agents, it almost makes it sound like that is all that AI in crypto is. But there's so much more. Vibe coding is the new buzzword. And it's really not to be underestimated either. So again, going back to 2021 2022, we had metaverses and play to earn games all being the next big thing. Heck, Facebook even rebranded as Meta, but the hype cooled rapidly when people soon discovered that AAA games could provide a much better experience.
>> You know, this didn't think I'd see that today.
>> Hey there, partner.
>> Now, here's a butt, and that's a big butt. If you've been a gamer for a while, you might have already asked yourself whether AAA games are just getting worse, or maybe it's just that we've all got older and we just don't feel the same joy anymore. And it's probably a bit of both. AAA developers really stopped putting their hearts and souls into creating immersive and culture defining games. And so naturally, the world has begun to pivot once again back to indie developers. And this is where AI has stepped in. There are so many fantastic storytellers. And if you've played some indie games, you know just how much some of these stories can just wreck your heart. And now with AI, all they need is a few thousand, some Red Bull, and a few days of vibe coding. And we're back, baby. AI lets devs offload a lot of the time consuming and tedious coding while putting more focus on the heart and soul of the game.
It's not just the gaming space though.
Infrastructure is also reaping the benefits. Some blockchains like Kadano have traditionally run their nodes through a very niche but secure code that few devs actually understood. This has hampered development especially on Kadano and devs gravitated towards the more common languages. Now enter AI into the equation. Entirely new nodes can be coded purely with AI and in languages many developers use. Even Coinbase has pivoted to using AI and has cut 14% off the workforce due to AI slashing the amount of work required by humans. And while we're talking about this, hey Brian, maybe you can move a few of those people into Coinbase's customer support.
I mean, it's just a suggestion. Now, as with everything, there's always a flip side to a coin. AI doesn't just scale productivity, but it also scales mistakes, and it scales exploits. It has opened the crypto space up to a number of hacks and exploits that before could have never been imagined. April was the worst on record. AI is showing hackers where the vulnerabilities lie. And it's also making it easier. So before you needed deep technical knowledge, time to study protocols, and manually exploit development. In the same way a gamedev can vibe code a game in a day, hackers can code an entire website in seconds, scan code bases for vulnerabilities, generate exploit strategies, automate fishing campaigns, and simulate attack scenarios, and that across multiple protocols at once. The barrier for entry has been lowered massively. Cloudfare has been incredibly vocal about the threat and has published in their 2026 global threat report that AI enabled attacks are already up by 89%.
Anthropic, the maker of Claude, found that AI models have reached a level of coding capability where they can surpass all but the most skilled humans at finding and exploiting software vulnerabilities. It literally inspired them to make a model to detect exploits before hackers can. It's pretty scary stuff. And this is all before quantum computing. So the biggest concern is that AI agents can get compromised.
Basically AI hacking AI. And it will basically look like it's doing exactly what you told it to do. Not every trade will be a win. And before you know it, your wallet is empty. And your AI agent will be telling you that it did what you ordered it to do. Imagine that. Your own agent gaslighting you. I mean, it's kind of already happening if you're using chat GPT. So, and you can't even trust your favorite source of information anymore either. Many crypto creators and gurus are switching to AI to handle the more tedious aspects of social media.
And it's actually pretty cheap to run a bot. AI does the research, posts, and engages with the people in real time. AI presenters are making full YouTube videos without one stepping in front of a camera or spending hours editing. And the problem is that AI gets it wrong a lot. But that's enough doom and gloom for now. Back to AI being the saving grace of humanity. AI is being deployed on defense and it is doing an incredible job. Anthropic has deployed Claude myths and boy oh boy the results have been nothing short of incredible. It is the nuclear bomb of defense and it has shaken the markets. Cyber security firms have seen their stocks tumbling because of it. And enter project Glass Wing.
They are the Chad Whitehead hackers. In the same way that AI can be used to exploit vulnerabilities, it can also be used by the good guys to find them. In previews, it has found vulnerabilities that have in some cases survived decades of human review and millions of automated security tests, and the exploit it develops are increasingly sophisticated.
Mutzilla's Firefox has found and fixed more bugs in Firefox in April than they have in the last 15 months. But at this stage, Mythus is only for companies that have been invited to access this ungodly AI power. Companies such as Amazon, Apple, Linux, Microsoft, Google, and so on. Companies who, if exploited, could seriously affect life on Earth. But this can also filter through your favorite crypto protocol. And I urge you to demand that your devs take the time to access these tools and harden their defenses. DeFi cannot take another April 2026 again. AI isn't just coming to crypto. It's already here. The play has almost left the station. So, let me know in the comments what you think. And I hope I'll see you in my next video. Bye.
