[00:00:00]You think enlightenment feels good?

[00:00:03]It doesn't.

[00:00:05]Because who is there to feel?

[00:00:12]That experience of enlightenment has no feeling.

[00:00:16]Because there's no you to feel anything.

[00:00:21]In order to reveal the experience of enlightenment, if you want to call it an experience.

[00:00:32]You have to let go of the person or the individual who feels.

[00:00:37]So long as you feel something it's not enlightenment.

[00:00:45]When you continue feeling something you're continuing to possess this feeling that you're a character.

[00:00:54]That you're an individual.

[00:00:59]It's like you found yourself in a dream that you're having at night as this dream character.

[00:01:06]And you're giving in to the experience of being that dream character.

[00:01:12]So much so that you now refer to yourself as the dream character.

[00:01:17]This feeling of being the dream character, this identification with the dream character, this belief that you are the dream character is the ego.

[00:01:29]It's like your consciousness is dreaming and its awareness has completely locked inside of the character.

[00:01:41]Because it's so hypnotized by what it's dreaming.

[00:01:45]Consciousness being so powerful solidifies its awareness in the character and it now believes that it's the character.

[00:01:55]It's hypnotized.

[00:01:58]So it you consider yourself to be this character, it just means your consciousness is lost inside the character.

[00:02:07]This doesn't mean that consciousness is literally inside somewhere.

[00:02:12]It just means you're dreaming so hard you not take yourself to be the character.

[00:02:16]And so long as you take yourself to be the character, you'll continue to feel as if you're the character.

[00:02:22]And because you feel that way, you'll continue to feel whatever the character feels.

[00:02:28]>> [snorts] >> So, how can the experience of enlightenment feel good if there's no one there to feel?

[00:02:36]You don't feel anything because you're no longer the character.

[00:02:40]You're the dreamer.

[00:02:43]See, when you're the dreamer, you're dreaming of the character.

[00:02:46]The character is appearing as a dream in consciousness.

[00:02:51]The experience of enlightenment is the exact same.

[00:02:57]You're exposing consciousness and you're revealing consciousness as the truth, as yourself, as your true self, meaning the self that you've always been.

[00:03:08]And you're observing a dream in your consciousness while knowing that you are consciousness and free from the dream.

[00:03:18]Free from the dream meaning there is no identification with the character.

[00:03:23]>> [snorts] >> And so you see there is no ego present when you're revealing consciousness this way.

[00:03:30]When you're revealing consciousness this way, everything is completely formless. It's empty.

[00:03:36]There's not a single ounce of volition or agency that you possess.

[00:03:41]As soon as it feels like you possess those things, as soon as you feel as if you have intention or will, you've identified with the character.

[00:03:53]If you're not identified with the character, those things are absent.

[00:03:57]They're completely erased. They don't exist.

[00:04:03]You see, enlightenment doesn't feel good because there's no one there to feel anything.

[00:04:08]There is no feeling of good and there's no feeling of bad.

[00:04:12]The experience leading up to enlightenment will feel good. You'll feel a lot of bliss. You'll feel a lot of pleasure.

[00:04:21]Because when you expose those deeper dimensions of reality, those deeper dimensional planes, when you're venturing your attention inside the mind, you'll feel all of that joy, all of that happiness.

[00:04:37]>> [snorts] >> But if you keep going all the way, you start to let go of the ego. The ego begins to dissolve.

[00:04:47]When the ego dissolves, it doesn't mean that there's something there that's actually dissolving.

[00:04:53]It just means you're seeing through the ego.

[00:04:56]It means you're dreaming less.

[00:05:00]When you dream less, you're no longer attached to something. You start detaching from that something.

[00:05:09]So when you begin to see that the ego isn't really there, that's when you reveal consciousness. Because when you reveal consciousness, there is no ego.

[00:05:18]So there is no longer a capacity to feel anything.

[00:05:22]There's an ancient term for this. It's called nirvikalpha samadhi.

[00:05:29]When you're revealing consciousness, you are in nirvikalpha samadhi because there is no distinctions in your perception.

[00:05:36]Because there is no distinctions in perception, it means you lack the capacity to feel anything as an individual.

[00:05:43]So it literally wouldn't matter what the individual is experiencing.

[00:05:48]It could be the worst thing in the world, it doesn't matter. Your consciousness you're completely free, completely free from identification with the person.

[00:05:59]Do you see enlightenment doesn't feel good because there's no one there to feel anything.

[00:06:07]You're just resting as stillness.

[00:06:10]You're resting as a singularity.

[00:06:14]You're resting as something that is completely free from anything else, from any concept that explains the feeling or the perception of something.

[00:06:23]>> [snorts] >> And when you reveal enlightenment or you reveal that experience, you see that there was always just consciousness.

[00:06:33]Even when it felt like you were the individual you were actually consciousness.

[00:06:39]You were just pretending to be someone you were not.

[00:06:43]So it's not like you went from being an individual to being consciousness. No.

[00:06:50]When you experience consciousness as consciousness, you realize you were always consciousness. You were never the individual even when it felt like you were the individual.

[00:06:59]You see the difference there?

[00:07:03]And this is why I always say in my videos that you're consciousness even right now as you watch me. You're consciousness.

[00:07:10]You're free right now. You just need to reveal it.

[00:07:14]That freedom is already there.

[00:07:16]You're just so lost in your imagining that you not believe you're the person.

[00:07:21]If you want to see yourself as consciousness, stop imagining so hard.

[00:07:27]Stop taking things so personally.

[00:07:30]Stop being so attached and intimate with everything you're seeing.

[00:07:36]The less intimate you are with things the more you see the truth.

[00:07:43]So this doesn't mean to stop acting.

[00:07:48]Continue acting.

[00:07:50]But start to understand what it is that you're experiencing while you're acting.

[00:07:55]And the more you understand it, the less you imagine.

[00:07:59]And the less you imagine, you'll start to experience what enlightenment is really like.

[00:08:05]And you'll see that there's no one experiencing anything.

[00:08:10]Because there is just you.
