[00:05:46]>> That's what they call it now, right? So, [snorts] sending my tape, next you know they call and they're like, "Okay, you you're in the semi-finals. So, you got to come to LA."

[00:05:56]We're at the Ice House, about 16 comedians.

[00:05:58]>> [clears throat] >> So, we duked it out and they were going to pick six out of the 16. And there were some funny funny people, man. Funny people. So, you know, I just But there was one particular guy.

[00:06:09]His name is Henry Coleman.

[00:06:10]>> Henry?

[00:06:11]>> Ooh, that's another >> What?

[00:06:14]>> Oh, >> My guy got on that stage and >> He's dope.

[00:06:18]>> And I'm in the back like, "Okay, so that's the who got my 20K."

[00:06:23]Right? So, I get on stage and I do my thing and I killed it. And when I got off the stage, they said, "Okay, Alfred.

[00:06:29]So, it's you and me." We didn't care about nobody else. We just could tell it was me and Henry. Right? So, I go back home. Now, I'm freaking out. I'm like, "Okay, I got 2 weeks to get ready. I don't care about the other comics cuz I just knew I got this but Henry is in my way." Man, I called all my OGs. I got a brother by the name of Rudy Rush.

[00:06:50]>> Man, that's my man. Rudy Rush. He's He's in Dallas now.

[00:06:54]>> I started with him.

[00:06:55]>> You know what's crazy, man?

[00:06:58]Rudy played a very pivotal role in my career. He's one who actually helped me get on TV with Kevin. Cuz Rudy gave Kevin [clears throat] my tape and said, "You got to see this African kid. He's funny." And that's how I got on TV with Kev.

[00:07:12]So, I called Rudy. I said, "Hey, man, I'm in this competition. I'm in the finals, man. 20K. But this Henry, bro.

[00:07:20]>> He's dope.

[00:07:20]>> Yeah, he a problem. What do I do?" He said, "Don't let that boy pinch pinch a real estate tent in your head."

[00:07:27]That was what he told me. He said, "Forget Henry. You do you. I know what you can do. Just go out there and and and do your thing."

[00:07:34]>> Yeah.

[00:07:35]>> Man, we flew to DC, 3,000 people, got on that stage >> and just killed it.

[00:07:41]>> Yeah, that man.

[00:07:42]>> You you you got this one story you tell about the difference between your your white friends and your black friends.

[00:07:47]What's the what's the difference between your white friends and your black friends?

[00:07:50]Like in America.
