Sarah had her endometriosis removed...Hinzugefügt:
Okay, we are on our way to the hospital.
>> I'm hoping there's like a noticeable difference.
>> We're here.
>> Is that what that means?
>> What?
>> Me, not the patient.
>> Yeah, >> that's my biggest fear. Like going in and coming out and not noticing a difference. That would be rip to me.
>> Just got the kids put down for bed.
10:20 right now. Sarah's eating her last little snack because what? Doctor said you can't eat after >> said no >> after 11.
>> After 11, but I can have clear liquids.
>> Clear liquids, but no food after 11.
Last time I went under for surgery, I was barfing so bad because I don't know if it was what I ate or just all the medication from the anesthesia, but that was like the most painful and worst night ever. So, I'm like kind of scared that that's going to happen to me again.
>> How are you feeling? You ready for this?
I'm nervous.
>> Yeah, >> I was like feeling okay and then I started reading a little bit more about it and that was just like not probably the best thing.
>> What were you eating? I >> just was looking up like how long does it take? What's recovery like? And it just was like more than I thought. So that kind of freaked me out and then just honestly getting put under freaks me out. Like I get excited when I wake up I think because I'm like I'm alive. I did it. He also said that, "Hey, if there's endometriosis on your appendix, we're just going to remove that during surgery." So, >> your appendix would be coming out.
>> Yeah. If there's any, he said if we find any on it, we'll just remove it.
>> Well, I think it's going to go really well. I'm excited for you.
>> Thanks.
>> I'm really mostly excited for a few weeks from now to see how you're feeling and if it just feels better in your stomach. And >> what I would give to not feel bloated 24/7 and just feeling yuck. The saddest thing would be if like I felt the exact same after. That's my biggest fear.
>> Imagine you're gonna feel better. I just hope it lasts for a long time, you know?
I hope it's not one of those things where it's like like does it come back?
Is that >> I got a lot of mixed responses on my thing. What I've heard most recently is if you have a good surgeon and they truly get it all that there's a very good chance of never have to get surgery again.
>> Yeah.
>> But then I there were people like commenting on the post that I did about it were saying like I've already had to do three or four. So now I'm like, "Okay, >> this is the right step. I think you got to do this to know and I think it's going to help a ton.
>> Love you.
>> Love you.
Good morning. It's surgery day.
I am so tired. We went to bed too late and then Lana was up a lot last night.
So yeah, I'm feeling exhausted. But I feel more bad for Derek because he's going to be the one holding everything down today while I get the surgery. I was supposed to be up like 20 minutes ago. Luckily, my body woke itself up again because I fell back asleep after I turned my alarm off. Now I have like 20 minutes to shower. I have to use this antibacterial soap and then blow dry my hair. And luckily, I don't have to do makeup or anything. I'm not allowed to do any of that. So we can just go >> all clean. Derek's up. I know what it feels like to be a boy now. What?
>> Just shower.
>> Oh yeah, >> do nothing.
>> Yeah, I just woke up and showered.
>> No, me. I just had to take a shower and do absolutely nothing. Okay, we are on our way to the hospital. Jack and Sunny weren't even awake when I left. And I'm really bummed cuz now they're just going to see me and I'm going to be all drugged up. I am grateful that my surgery time is so early because I am starving right now. It's 7:20 and I know a lot of people wake up and they're not hungry until like lunchtime, but I >> the second my eyes open, I'm hungry. So >> it's crazy.
>> If it was like longer, I'd just have to prolong that and that just would be awful. I just told Derek my stomach has been so crampy this morning. I'm like, I wonder what that's about. Maybe this is a good day to do it. And he goes, they all know they're getting taken out.
>> They're tripping.
>> They're like running out.
>> It's time to go out with a freaking bang.
>> Going out with a bang. They're wreaking havoc right now.
>> Right now.
Ah, you got the bracelet. That's official. Here we go. Here we go.
Gown is on. which is crazy cuz it's usually me in your position right now.
You're usually the one sitting here.
>> Yep.
>> Oh, how the turns have tabled.
>> Yep. Super cute outfit.
>> Wow. Oh, >> dang.
>> Oh, did I just >> No, no, no. You're covered.
>> Nice deep breath.
>> Looking good.
>> I'm feeling good. How you feeling?
Drugs, >> it's good stuff.
>> Why am I feeling like a little boozy?
>> That's my drugs I get.
>> That's the drugs, Sarah.
>> It hits so fast.
>> No, it hits fast and it makes you laugh.
It makes all my dad jokes 10 times more funnier. See, that makes >> like my jokes are so good.
>> I'm feeling good.
>> That's what I'm saying. This is the best part of surgery right here.
>> Honestly, this is fun. Like the the IV was not fun.
>> Not fun. Look at that.
>> He's going to take good care of me.
>> You got it.
>> Okay. All right. Okay. Thanks. Good luck. Love you. You're going to do amazing.
>> All right. Just ran and got some breakfast. Got a call from the doctor.
Sarah's in. She they said she's under.
They started the surgery. Let me know that there is a good amount of endometriosis in there that they're they're working with. They said there's no real problems there or anything, so she doesn't have to get her appendix out. And then they said we're just going to keep kind of looking around here and we'll let you know if anything else comes up. But right now they said it looks like it's going to be a really fairly straightforward procedure just taking out the endometrio muzz if I'm saying that right. The endometriosis that is is present. Um which they said is kind of what they expected. Not a crazy crazy amount but a very normal amount for for this case. So far things are sounding okay. It's always nerve-wracking when you get the first call. Could be anything. um when they get in there and see what's going on.
Another call from the doctor said that things are going very very well. There was like a pretty big mess on her bowel.
Don't really know how that all works or what that means. Sounds like it was as expected. There's nothing else that's too crazy. Uh just stuff that they have that he's he's taken out. Um wasn't surprised by anything which is so good.
So said that he's just wrapping up um repairing things, stitching things up, and then he'll let me know and I can go back um after she's in recovery for like 30 minutes. I think she she might even be in recovery now and then I can go in.
We'll see how it goes.
>> How you doing?
>> Good. I feel bad. I like can't keep my lips.
>> You did great.
>> They said you did amazing. Everything looked good.
>> Oh, good.
>> Yeah. Did they tell you that already?
>> Probably. They can't remember. I don't know.
>> There's a reason why the doctor doesn't talk to the patient afterwards.
>> Probably a good reason. I won't remember any of it. All done. Do you remember waking up?
>> You just woke up in La La Land. The doctor said that it went really, really well. He showed me all the pictures.
There was a lot that he took out, but nothing that was unexpected.
You're all cleaned out.
cleaned out and hopefully you start feeling better.
>> You can get back to things soon.
>> Yeah.
>> And your quality of life goes like this.
>> I can't keep my eyes open.
>> Close them. Definitely close them. You feel a lot going on in there.
>> Pain's okay, though.
>> You were out for Hour and a half. It's a long time.
>> Thanks for coming, man.
>> So happy to be here.
>> How long was the surgery?
>> Uh, I think they said an hour and a half.
Yeah, that's good. They took it all out.
All of it out. Nothing too deep, but lots of little stuff in there. My >> appendix.
>> Your appendix is in still. Said it was all good.
night.
>> I'm a sleepy girl.
>> Yeah. Juicy.
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah. It's still in.
>> Wasn't kidding about the apple juice.
It's good.
>> Is it good?
>> Mhm.
>> Oh.
>> Yummy. They gave me this like patch on the back of my neck and they were like the number side effect is like a dry mouth.
>> Yeah.
>> Hate that water.
>> Oh, you want some water? Is there water?
I didn't give you water.
>> Dang it.
>> Was that a long time?
>> Hour and a half.
>> Two hours I was out there.
>> Hit some reels. Yeah.
>> Good ones.
>> There's a couple good ones. Yeah. Yeah, there's a couple good ones.
>> Did the doctor talk to you?
>> Yeah.
>> What did he say?
>> He said that you had lots of stuff inside of you.
>> Really?
>> Yeah. And he got it all out. Everything.
Yeah.
>> Really?
>> Yeah. This is my third time telling you.
>> Is it?
>> It is.
>> Somebody put mini bricks on my eyelids.
>> Mini bricks. Let me get them off for you.
>> Here.
>> Got them.
Hi.
>> Hi.
So, I'll kind of help you and then >> and then go to the bathroom and I think you're good to go. Yeah.
>> Think I can put my >> You just took like a good 20 minute 25 minute nap. Yeah. Here, I'll help you.
I'll help you.
Got her in the car.
>> Oh, >> you did it. Here. No reach. Reachy, I bet you.
>> Now, time to get you home.
>> Yeah.
>> And some pain meds. Almost made it home.
We had to stop to pick up Sarah's prescriptions, but the pharmacy is currently closed for 10 more minutes.
Excited to see the little feathers.
>> Yeah, >> we just got to make sure.
>> I know. Well, you got to make sure that they know no jumping on you.
>> Hey, little guys.
>> Hi.
>> Can you bring the toy?
No, I did not.
>> Did you not bring him a toy from surgery, Sunny?
Good job, papa.
Did you get it?
>> Did you already find it? Good job.
>> Is that it?
>> Soners, you're so awesome.
>> You are so helpful.
>> Thank you, Sunny.
>> No way.
What?
You were kidding, >> Sage.
>> This is You did this. You're so sweet, baby. Do you want me to put it on the wall by Jack?
>> Nice girl.
>> How we doing?
>> Doing pretty good.
>> Doing good.
>> I don't I'm not nauseous.
>> All right.
>> Good.
>> All right. Just >> in a little pain.
>> Yeah.
>> But it's not crazy.
>> You took another one of the pain meds.
>> Mhm.
>> I took the kids to Jack's first baseball game. He had his first coach pitch game, which was so fun. Um, obviously Sarah couldn't make it. Got a rest. That would have been impossible. But, uh, yeah, he he played awesome. It was super fun to watch him. He's so into it. Especially hitting. He loves the hitting.
>> So fun. Glad you're feeling better, though.
>> Yeah.
>> Hopefully you can fall back asleep, though.
>> Yeah.
>> We're going to watch a little bit. We were watching a show. So, that's what we're going to do to have some fun for the next few nights. Watch some show.
Hopefully, you give Helen better in the morning tomorrow. We'll see how she's doing. But you bring me a cookie.
>> Oh, I'll get you a cookie. Yeah. Yeah.
>> From the >> I got some from from our we door dash some cookies. So, >> yay.
>> Some cookies, watch show, get some sleep, feel better, and we'll see how she's doing tomorrow. But >> can you help me get up to go to her chest?
These two just got in a little fight and we made them do nosies and now they're happy. Sorry.
>> That was Sarah's idea. They have to stick their noses together and say sorry. And every time they do it, they start laughing and it's all better. So, good idea. I came in yesterday to film Sarah and was like, "How you doing? Want to give a little update?" And she's like, "No, this is so bad. I'm so miserable right now. uh come back when I'm feeling better.
>> First day I was feeling good. Obviously, it's probably because all the meds were >> Yeah.
>> still in me and the anesthesia hadn't worn off yet. The second day was like pretty painful as far as like feeling super sore with everything they did around the incisions.
>> Day three, it kind of started to get rough.
>> At night was terrible. It was just like my stomach exploded from all the meds and the anesthesia and all of that. So, the last two days have been non-stop just like more like stomach problems, which has been the worst part. But since like two hours ago, I'm feeling like a little bit more normal. I just haven't slept in like 2 days. I feel like by in like two more days, I'll be feeling pretty good. Honestly, I'm scared to eat anything.
>> How do the uh incisions feel? And just like inside your stomach, as far as like pain goes, >> incisions are good. There's four of them on my stomach. That'll be fun. I wish they had done them lower because they're going to be shown now. It's probably just the spot they needed to get.
They're small incident.
>> They're pretty small and I honestly think that they'll heal up good.
>> Yeah. I mean, just excited to get back to regular life already.
>> Yeah, it's freaking rough. It sucks to just not have >> been a way worse recovery. Derek's been really helpful and awesome. Pulling down the fort with the kids and making sure they're taken care of. Really grateful for that.
>> Thanks. Mom's been sleeping good.
>> Kids are sleeping good. It could be worse. Could be up all night.
>> Could be like when you had surgery.
>> When I had surgery >> and Sunny was waking up five times a night.
>> Yeah, you definitely did get the short end of the stick on that. Four weeks, 5 weeks from now, you're going to be feeling great. You're going to be getting back into pickle ball and you're going to feel way better. Way more energy. That's the hope.
>> Thanks for taking care of me.
>> Yeah, >> you guys have been here since the beginning of this whole crazy endo thing. We've made videos since I first got diagnosed with this 2021 in 2021.
Just want to say thanks for all the kind messages. There's been a bajillion messages of people >> having the same experiences and even a ton of women that have been saying they're getting these appointments and going to surgery because of seeing my videos. And that's kind of the whole goal. That kind of stuff like makes it all worth it. And I just feel bad that it's such a huge thing. So many women have it and it's crazy.
>> No, for real. Thank you for for the support and like Sarah said, that is that is our goal is to just kind of make it more a thing, you know.
>> I feel like within the last year, there's even been like a huge boom. I'm just seeing a lot of DMs. Like I have my surgery next week because of your videos and stuff like that. So awesome. It's so cool to see. So amazing.
>> Yeah. I'm wishing all of you that have it luck and thanks for all the encouraging healing messages.
Amazing. be updated.
>> We'll see you guys next time. Love you all.
>> Love you.
>> Bye.
>> Bye.
