This video examines how gaming companies like Activision cultivate relationships with streamers through perks like early access, travel, and studio visits, while simultaneously maintaining strict anti-cheating policies that ban some of these same streamers. The content argues that this creates a contradiction where companies prioritize streamer relationships over genuine player experience, potentially compromising game integrity and community trust.

SWAGG AND CHEATING WARZONE STREAMERS SHILL FOR COD. #callofdutyAdded:
A radar hack. I've never even heard of a radar.
>> I'm shooting two straight perma band.
Kerma ban for literally no reason.
>> Bro, call a shame, bro. Chill, bro. It's not what it looks like. I swear I just got perma banan.
The most popular one of them all. Call of Shane. The plural, horribly sexist, homophobic.
There's no proof. There's none.
>> What percentage of extreers do you think do cheat? Zero. Less than >> But I don't care if you think I'm cheating cuz you're not important.
>> You've been permanently banned, bro.
What? What? You were just dead ass just shooting through the walls of Turkey.
This pantichi is [ __ ] >> The people you're watching on screen are some of them flown out early by Activision. All expenses paid. Flights, hotels, meals, studio access, the full VIP treatment. They were guests of honor at Infinity Ward, and that's exactly why they're pushing the hype so hard.
Activision doesn't care about real gamers anymore. The people who actually grind the game for years, who put in thousands of hours, who stick with it through everything. Those dedicated players are invisible. Now, back in the golden years, Call of Duty 4, Modern Warfare 2, and World at War, things were different. We didn't have streamers or influencers telling us what to think. We just played the game and loved it. I remember dominating those games. And World at War on Capture the Flag was epic.
Now the game has completely changed.
It's built for clips and streams instead of real gameplay. All the crazy movement stuff sliding everywhere. It feels like it's designed more for content creators than actual players. The soul of the game is gone. Remember when Black Ops Royale came out? Call of Duty tweeted that they were looking at the feedback and watching the streams.
That one tweet told me everything I needed to know. They are obsessed with streamers. Real gamers have no place left anymore. And that statement came right after the Black Ops Royale embarrassment.
The mode that Teep and Repulse helped design. It flopped, but they still cared more about what streamers thought than the actual player base. They're flying out female streamers left and right, even ones with very small followings.
Activision clearly prefers this because if you're a regular white straight male working a 9-to-five job, you haven't got a chance. They know a certain audience will watch just because it's a girl on screen. It's not really about skill or who grinds the game the hardest. It's about diversity. Now, pronouns in the bio. You better book your flight.
Not even a single comment. What a waste of money. Is this who was supposed to promote the game to tell me it's worth buying? Do me a bloody favor.
This company has fallen so far. Some streamers even brag about being flown out monthly as consultants, real developers at Infinity Ward, having to listen to their feedback and change the game around it. That's so sad. We don't need these influencers telling us it's back. We played the golden era without any of them. And we knew the game was good because we were actually in the lobbies enjoying it. This is a straightup betrayal of the players who built this franchise. So, they flew these people out to get feedback, then hoped they would influence their viewers to buy the game. But who are you influencing, sweetheart? because there's nobody here. You're chasing shadows. I just don't understand any of this. Who are you? And what have you people done to our game?
You may have been told by streamers that Activision hates cheating. However, that might be one of the most ridiculous statements ever made. Activision couldn't care less if streamers are cheating. Let me explain.
Korean Savage has recently been flown out by Activision to play the game early. Activision paid for his flight, food, and hotel. But there is one serious problem with this. He was permanently banned during Black Ops 6.
Here's the clip. Uh this is not a drill.
This is my account. Absolutely. My account signed in as Korean Savage and uh yeah, permanently banned on the joint. No, not not a temporary ban. A permanent ban on Black Ops 6 beta. Look, this happened last night and I was absolutely down horrendously. It was atrocious. I could not sleep at all. And you know what the crazy thing is? I know a lot of people go through these shadow bands or these false temporary, but I got a permanent ban.
>> Activision has also flown out both Adrian and Destroy to play the game early. These two War Zone streamers were also both permanently banned while playing live on stream for using cheat related software.
Now, Ricochet has been absolutely clear that there are no false permanent bans.
This is an absolute fact. This is a direct confirmation statement from Activision regarding false bans.
If you see a permanent ban, those are given with the most serious considerations and after significant research. It doesn't matter what excuses people give. There are no false permanent bans. So, why on earth is Activision's influencer relations team ignoring these bans, sending these streamers care packages and flying them out to play the game early? It seems pretty clear. They don't care one bit if you are permanently banned. They don't even seem to care if you have been accused of cheating.
This is how they control these unemployed social media influencers.
Every time a new Call of Duty comes out, they all say the same thing. It's the best Call of Duty ever. War Zone is saved.
But saved from what exactly? Because as far as I can tell, it was the War Zone streamers who were flown out last year to give their input on the game. They were the ones pushing for Omni Movement.
And that completely ruined Black Ops 6 for new players. If you let these workshy streamers shape your game, they will ruin it. Just look at Black Ops 6, Black Ops 7, and Blackout Royale. Ignore the streamers hyping up Modern Warfare 4. They need you to buy the new game because they need you to watch them play it. The next Call of Duty will be absolutely full of cheaters. And if you buy it, you are part of the problem. You have been warned. If you really want to make a difference, then stop buying it.
Stop playing it. Stop watching it on stream. Because if you give Activision your money again, then you have no right to complain about cheating. You already know it will never change.
This is the season when streamers work hardest to sell you the next Call of Duty. Their mission is simple. Convince you to part with your money and buy the new title. They need you to go to work so they don't have to. The streamers won't be paying for the game. They get it for free along with tens of thousands of Call of Duty points emailed to them every week. Cheaters and streamers have absolutely ruined everything Call of Duty used to stand for. Infinity Ward was the studio from the pits of hell, but now suddenly it is the best thing since sliced bread. The streamers have no morals. They will say whatever they are told to say. They don't want to rock the boat. They will lie to your face while recording their Call of Duty is back vlogs and think nothing of it.
Remember that.
