10 people die from asthma every single day

[00:00:00]In the United [music] States currently, about 10 people every day die from asthma. And and you know, the the party line is that no one should die from asthma. And then if we look at who's dying from asthma, over half of all deaths in the United States are among older adults for asthma. [music] So so this really is a a problem area and something that we don't have fully under control yet. Asthma is often overlooked in older adults. Many people think asthma is really just a disease for children or that most adults [music] will outgrow it or things like that and we find that's actually not true. And what we find is that older adults have some of the worst outcomes for asthma.

[00:00:37]So their their death rates are much higher. Uh their hospitalization rates are often higher, emergency department visits and things like that.
