I think we're still at a point where people don't understand the limitations of these systems. The thing is that they sometimes operate really well and give you what you want and then other times they hallucinate and give you incorrect information and no matter what they're doing it very confidently. And so it's hard to tell when you're getting bad information. One of my colleagues at The Times said that these systems, these generative AI systems, they're hallucinating all the time. And what's incredible is how often they get it right. So, you know, the what can be what can be attractive about them is they are very good at taking a lot of information and kind of sorting through it. And so that can be a useful tool.
The problem is when you get overly reliant on it. And that's the problem with so much technology and assume that it's always right.
