The Titanic disaster, which resulted in 1,500 lives lost, demonstrates that overconfidence in engineering and insufficient safety preparations can lead to catastrophic failures; this tragedy directly led to the establishment of SOLAS (Safety of Life at Sea) regulations, which now ensure that ships carry adequate lifeboat capacity for all passengers and crew.

do you know why 1500 lives were lost in the Titanic disasterAñadido:
What you are seeing behind me is 40,000 ton vessel, almost like Titanic.
Everyone knows Titanic sank because of an iceberg, but do you know why 1,500 lives were lost? The Titanic was a 50,000 ton steel and owners, makers were so confident that this is indestructible and unsinkable. The biggest mistake they did was they didn't had this lifeboat with full complement, meaning the capacity of these lifeboats is not sufficient for the total number of passengers that are being carried in the Titanic. Strangely, mistakes happen exactly when we are lenient and when we are overconfident. And nature had to teach the lesson the first day of the Titanic journey and 1,500 lives were lost. Being a mariner, I had to 3D print this unsinkable Titanic in the memory of those 1,500 sacrificed lives. Those lives which were lost are not in vain.
Maritime authority woke up, SOLAS regulation has been born, and now we are able to travel around the world safely.
