This video discusses how media reporting on the Camello Anthony case demonstrates the importance of presenting complete information, as selective omission of facts (such as the victim's father's racist comments and the defendant's aggressive statements) can distort public perception of legal cases and contribute to racial tensions.

Added:Oh no. Is this whoopy gulp? Oh no. Is this what I think it's going to be?
>> This this story has been we've been following this. And so now there's new footage that has been released of the moments after high schooler Camello Anthony fatally stabbed Austin Medcaf.
>> He put his hands on me. I told him nothing. He put his hands on me.
>> He was sentenced to 35 years in prison which he's appealing. Some people believe that race was a factor in the trial because there were no black jurors. There were no black jurors because the black jurors said that race would be a factor and they wouldn't want to put a brother in jail. I'm not even kidding. They literally said that.
>> One prospective juror who prosecutors identified as African-Amean said he would have a hard time putting a brother in jail.
>> They were struck for that. And some folks think, "No, no, he got he got him."
>> See, she never explained the reason why.
You're not including that information because you want to poison the well and make people think that the jury was racist.
>> Fair trial. But is this a jury of his peers?
>> I don't think so. This has been an issue for such a long time in in the judicial system where generally a a juror of color for a race neutral >> generally. Look at what she's saying.
She's saying and implying that they struck them because they were black for a raceneutral reason, which it's actually the opposite. They struck them because they were being race bias.
>> You're not supposed to just strike someone because they're black.
>> That's not what happened. And they know that. I also think we have to look at self-defense here because there seems to be two systems of justice at play in this country and there have been for a very long time.
>> It's when a white person does this, everybody agrees that it was bad and the white person goes to jail. And when a black person does this, you have a bunch of black people that go out and say that the jury was racist and it was rigged and come up with infinitely many racial justifications for why stabbing somebody in the chest with a knife is okay.
>> I was part of the system, so I understand that and I believe that to be the problem. Um, in this case, this young man, you heard him say, "He put his hands on me and I told him not to."
>> Well, I mean, of course, he's telling the truth. You should immediately believe that the person that stabbed somebody in the chest is telling the truth. What about all the other witnesses?
>> More than 10 of these students and teammates testified that Austin Medaf repeatedly asked Anthony to leave.
Several recalled Anthony responding, "Touch me and find out." Meet tried to avoid a fight, telling Anthony, quote, "Dude, I'm not going to fight you out of track me." Anthony pulled out a 5-in folding knife from his backpack and stabbed Metaf in the chest.
>> And the other kid was also taller than than he is. He was the only black kid under the tent. The victim here had his twin brother with him who was also a very large person.
>> So you're trying to imply that the brother has some sort of implicit guilt of bullying Carmelo Anthony. Is this it?
>> If you don't fear for your life if you weigh 130 lb, I weigh 130 lb. Facing somebody that's 200 lb, I would be terrified of that. I I don't understand why self-defense uh was rejected by this jury >> because there were 20 witnesses that all said that it wasn't and he was the aggressor because he was in a place he shouldn't have been and he said touch me see what happens and then he stab somebody in the heart with a knife. So this is what people like her do. They just simply misrepresent the situation and lied to their viewers. She's omitting massive huge facts that a jury convicted this person of. his father went on a podcast and listen to it for yourself, but he called Carmelo Anthony a racial slur. And he also said that the reason that black people weren't on the jury is because black people are unable to hold bias from the trial because >> that's true. And the person that was black admitted that themselves in jury selection, but you're omitting that information and you're making it sound like the dad was a racist for no reason.
>> And also that was only after Camella's family went on television, implying the whole trial was a setup. What stuck out to me number one was the all-white drill, but I was >> Carmelo Anony's father. Your son stabbed somebody in the chest, but the real problem was white people.
>> You know, like, all right, it's not that big of a deal. I mean, the truth is on our side.
>> What?
>> I feel like it was just a setup.
>> From day one, I said this was never about race and don't politicize it. And what did you do? You chose both.
>> So, that is the think that's the thinking of the victim's father.
>> That's right. So the implication is that the victim now it's like more acceptable. What they're doing whenever they're saying this is they're literally trying to inspire racial violence.
They're lying and omitting facts that would completely change people's perspective if they were shown. But they're not showing those facts. They're not telling those things. And the reason why is because they want to fment and promote more racial hatred, more racial bias, more racism, more division.
