Instead of being built on Ethereum or another chain, HyperLiquid runs on its own custom layer one blockchain, designed specifically for trading, and that's important because most decentralized exchanges are slow, expensive, and inefficient. HyperLiquid tries to fix all of that by offering extremely fast execution, low latency, and user experience similar to centralized exchanges like Binance. In simple terms, it feels like a centralized exchange, but it's fully on chain. So, the core of HyperLiquid is on chain order book.

[00:01:27]Unlike most DEX that use automated market markers, HyperLiquid uses a real order book just like traditional exchanges. This means better price accuracy, less slippage, and more transparency. It's mainly focused on pre-trial futures trading, where users can trade assets with leverage without actually owning them. And yes, this includes crypto, but also potentially things like stock, gold, and even oil.

[00:01:52]Now, here's where things get interesting. HyperLiquid uses its own infrastructure structure called HyperEVM and HyperBSD.

[00:02:01]This allows you to proceed the process up to hundreds of thousands of transactions per second with extremely low latency, around 0.2 seconds. That's significantly faster than most blockchains today. So, instead of being limited by existing chains, they built their own system from scratch from scratch, optimized for trading.

[00:02:20]But, now let's talk about the token itself, HYPE. So, HYPE is the native token of the ecosystem, and it has several key roles. So, you have governance, meaning holders can vote on decisions, staking to secure the network and earn rewards, and utility used for advanced interactions on the platform.

[00:02:38]The token launched late 2024 with a massive distribution to over 90k users, and like many other projects, HyperLiquid focused heavily on the community distribution instead of venture capital. So, why is everyone talking about this project? Well, first, it has massive growth. HyperLiquid has reached over $1 billion in daily trading volume, which is huge for a decentralized exchange. Second, real usage. This isn't just hype, people are actually trading on it. And third, performance. It solves one of the biggest problems in DeFi, speed and usability. Some even say it's the first DEX that actually feels like a centralized exchange. But, let's keep this real, it's not all so perfect.

It's one of the few projects in crypto that has real users, real volume, and real innovation.
