Real-World Asset (RWA) tokenization requires a comprehensive ecosystem architecture that includes a Layer 1 blockchain for transaction settlement, an equity stack for asset tokenization and secondary market trading, and a lending platform that enables borrowing against tokenized assets, with the key insight that lending represents the critical missing piece for creating real business cases and sustainable value in RWA markets.

Inside Mavryk: CEO on the Future of $10B+ RWAs
Added:Founder, founder.
Co-founder or founder? Just founder.
Founder with with co-founders, but the founder with >> So you are the owner of this project, right?
>> Well, it it depends on how you look at it because Maverick is a layer one blockchain. Okay. So no one really owns a chain, right?
>> I got it, but yeah.
Even Solana has a owner like a president or >> It has people in in the lead of the development company.
Got it. Yeah.
>> All right.
>> You can just say founder of Maverick.
>> Founder, okay. Welcome back to another great episode interview series with Rabbit Gone on YouTube channel. We are at the IBW 2026. I'm with Alex founder of Maverick. How are the things going, Alex? It's really great to see you here.
>> Brilliant. It's it's going well. It's good to be back in Istanbul. So it's been It's been a couple years. I was here for the staking summit a couple years ago. Yeah. So it's good to be back here again.
>> Yeah, Istanbul is one of the biggest crypto hub in the world. I can say that because there is a lot of a lot of people trying to making money in crypto space and the mass adoption is very high here. What's your thoughts to being here?
>> Well, it's interesting walking around the streets. You actually see like crypto OTC desks and places to buy and sell crypto or to to get lira into USDT and back and forth. So it's actually it's it's quite interesting to see how it's actually permeated regular society here.
>> Yeah, that that's great. So yeah, you guys your your your project name is Maverick and we want to get to know more information what you guys actually do.
Could you give us short introduction what you actually building?
>> Yeah, so we built a full like what I call a full stack RWA ecosystem. So we've got Maverick as the layer one where all the transactions occur and settle and trade. And then we have two tech stacks on top of Maverick as applications. One of them is equities, which is a primary markets, secondary markets, an on-chain order book, AMM and smart contract escrow, so like a smart escrow system. So, and a CRM for tokenization. So, you can tokenize an asset, sell it to the public, trade it in a secondary market, and that's on the equity stack.
And then we also have Maven, which is a full I like to call it a digital banking system because you can then borrow use your RWAs, borrow against them in a vault or lend your USDT for people to borrow against. And it also has a decentralized oracle built into the system. So, long story short, we built everything from the tokenization platform to secondary markets and lending. And the most interesting thing about it all is that if you see here with MBIO, which is MultiBank's crypto exchange, and they're here also at the event. So, MultiBank has about like $15 billion in RWA deal flow. All of their tokenization is on our equity tech stack and trades on and basically is on the Maverick chain.
>> Okay, that's great. So, yeah, it's it's really quite quite interesting. What what makes you different than other layer ones in the in the space?
>> So, we designed our entire the the L1 ecosystem as an economic unit. If you look at the way I look at blockchain ecosystems as parallels to nation state economies. And so, we've designed our economy the same way that a nation state would design its its economy around that. But more so is that we've built a full tech stack around RWA tokenization. So, not only can you tokenize an asset, buy the asset, trade the asset, but then also borrow against it. And I think that's the hidden gem for RWA tokenization. That's that's that missing piece is Okay, fine. You digitize this asset.
Secondary market liquidity will mostly come from, well, obviously trading and escrow systems, but lending. So, it's the full suite.
>> Do you think Do you think the RWA narrative will be go in the market very long trends. What what what do you think in this part as well?
>> in my opinion, the RWAs are going to be the saving grace for blockchain. Right?
Because we've we've gone through every cycle and almost in every way we've gotten stupider and stupider in our in our crypto cycles, right? We had DeFi summer, lots of innovation, then we went to NFTs, which at least taught the market that you can own something, but we didn't use it properly. So, we went from NFTs to meme coins to gambling / prediction markets. RWAs are going to be this like it's it's where the real world will find real business cases for for uh for for this DLT tech.
>> Yeah.
>> So, I definitely think it's going to be the It's not only just a future of of blockchain, but it's the future of owning anything of value.
>> I got it. I got it. Yeah. Yeah, the the things are really good and it sounds like a really good plan, especially in this market conditions, because you know, we are in the bear market and a lot of projects and a lot of founders died already. If you need to live in this market very long time, you need to create this kind of >> Well, you need business sustainability.
>> Sure.
>> Which RWAs bring to the market. There's a real use case here with RWAs, right?
With meme coins, it's just pure gambling.
>> There is no utility. And otherwise, how can you give them a reason, I mean, your community, why they are buying your token or why they are investing your your project as equity, right? You need a reason. You need to give them a reason.
>> Yeah, I mean, people need to find value in what you do. If you build something of value, people will come and it almost doesn't matter if it's a bull market or a bear market for RWAs relative to crypto, cuz RWAs hold real value. You can own a tokenized piece of a hotel, tokenized piece of gold and then redeem it for physical gold if you want that.
You can own a tokenized piece of an invest like a a portfolio of real estate or commercial real estate or insurance and securities or a tokenized Bitcoin miner. So, the bull market, bear market actual investments hold their they're not speculative gambling markets. They're they're real investments into tangible assets.
>> Got it.
Yeah.
>> It's a whole different playing field.
>> That that's right.
>> we look at like the volatility of crypto markets and say, "Bitcoin's here, Bitcoin's there." But this hotel is still renting units. It still has occupancy. It's still producing value for its shareholders. And RWAs give you access to that and it's a lot more inherently stable.
>> Got it.
Yeah, it sounds sounds great. Sounds great.
What's your what's your developments and milestones in 2026 to 2027? [music] >> So, around Q3, the MBIO RWA platform will be going live.
And then from there we'll launch lending quickly thereafter. And we've actually architected on-chain mortgages as well.
Everything's non-custodial, by the way.
So, everything in MBIO's RWA platform, everything is non-custodial in an embedded MPC wallet. So, there's no no way the centralized exchange could you misuse user funds or do anything. So, for us it's all about driving on-chain value, on-chain transactions, and getting real assets into real users' hands. That's our road map. So, Q3 launch of the RWA platform, Q4 Q1 launch of lending, and then shortly thereafter mortgages on chain.
>> I got it. Amazing. So, what's what's your message to Turkish community?
Because as I mentioned beginning of the our interview, there is a lot of crypto holders and crypto natives web three natives in Turkey. What would you like to say them from here?
>> Oh boy, there's a lot to say. But like one, you know, make sure to check out Maverick and everything that we're building.
We've got, you know, the equity stack stack. We've got Maven for DeFi lending.
Make sure to check out MBIO and if you want to access global investments anywhere around the world, you'll now be able to do so at the click of a button.
>> Amazing. Yeah. If you'd like to see more content like this, don't forget to subscribe and turn notifications on. See you later, guys.
It's good.
>> Pleasure to pleasure. Really.
