TAKE A GUESS: What Our Outstanding Captains of Lives Do?Added:
I take small steps in overcoming challenges in deploying officers.
>> I sometimes go above [music] and beyond to give the best for my staff.
>> What I do is I try to find a balance between my work and personal life.
>> I I put all the resources together and create a joyful working environment.
>> I often have to jump through the hoops by ensuring that the right information gets to the right people.
>> In challenging situations, I rally my team together and continue to move forward and change every challenge into an opportunity.
>> You what I do? There's a lot of things that I do, but when things get tough, I [music] will go up up up and away.
>> [music] >> Hello everybody. Today I will be taking on seven different obstacles with seven different officers and I will have to guess their roles in 1 minute. Do you think I'll be able to do it? Let's get started.
What time do you get to work every day?
>> Very early in the morning. Not so early.
Maybe.
>> I'm the early bird.
>> So what time is that?
>> You guess lah. Early bird.
>> Oh man. Early enough before the email tsunami starts to hit my inbox.
>> It's the time for everyone to fall in.
>> Fall in?
>> Yes. Fall in.
>> What [music] time, ah?
>> Later than you, leh.
>> Let's get on set.
So does your job or your role require you to test your muscles, brain or your patience a little bit more?
>> Patience first, brain after that.
>> All [music] of them.
>> All of them?
>> Like like coffee three in one, ah. All in one, ah.
>> Huh? All, ah?
>> Yeah.
>> Everything.
>> Patience.
>> So every day, are you very frustrated at work?
>> Not really.
>> Okay.
>> Sometimes.
>> So if I were to give you a step counter, how many steps would you clock in a day?
>> Ah, that's a good question.
>> [music] >> How I wish I could walk a lot at work.
>> Ah, it depends. It depends on the weather.
>> Huh.
Physical steps, not much, but my brain probably runs a marathon every day.
>> How many steps are?
>> Mhm.
>> Definitely not as much as you, so.
>> Well, I'm the best at it.
>> Way way lesser.
>> Way lesser.
>> Yeah.
>> Uh if I am in office building, I think I can easily hit almost 10,000 steps.
>> Do you normally say no or noted to people?
>> No.
>> No.
>> All right.
>> That goes without saying.
>> No.
>> Say no more often.
>> Say no more often.
>> Noted to people.
>> Noted.
>> Uh a good mix of both.
>> Uh I'll get back to you.
>> I'll get back to you.
>> Okay. No or noted?
>> Yeah.
>> I say roger.
>> Oh. [laughter] >> Mhm. Okay. What do you think people may think is easy about your job that's actually very difficult?
>> Wah.
Uh see inside air con only lah.
Not sweat.
>> A lot of people just think like, "Oh, what's so difficult? You just sit at a desk. You just have to reply emails."
But behind the reply of emails, you have to gather information. You have to coordinate with many other external parties.
Uh and you have to piece it all together to make sure that the information that you're relaying is accurate and easy for the receiving party to understand.
>> I think people think that this job is easy because it's just talking or maybe the timing is flexible.
>> I can answer you, uh but maybe you take one step lower again.
>> Can can can.
Thank you.
>> I thought I was it, no. All right.
>> If I tell this, you'll know where I'm working.
>> So, you're not going to tell me?
>> I'm not going to tell you.
>> Okay, then.
>> Pass.
>> People would actually see my job easy cuz I spend most of the time [music] indoors. Basically, we what I do, you don't really see it.
>> So, these people that you say no to more often, are they people that have to call you ma'am or you have to call them sir or ma'am?
>> If I call them sir man, then I cannot say no to them, really.
>> I meet >> [music] >> various kinds of people.
>> Next step.
If I were to follow you to work for one day, what would surprise me the most?
>> Wow, actually very busy, huh?
>> You will be left alone, because I'll be straight to my work.
>> Honestly, I also don't know, because I am surprised each day how how the day turns out. That work.
>> Okay, then if you were to describe your your work life to be a movie or TV show, what would it be?
>> Leonardo DiCaprio act.
>> Mission Impossible?
>> The multiple roles.
>> Catch me if you can. Catch me if you can.
>> Yeah. So, different different roles. [music] Yeah.
>> Different roles.
>> Yeah.
>> Money Heist, because my work involves a lot of planning, a lot of coordination, a lot of communication, and a lot of unexpected plot twists along the way.
Just like it happens all in an email trail.
>> I will be the Marvel superhero [music] Hawkeye.
>> Why you?
>> Because I make sure that I'm going to hit the target with my aim.
>> I don't think there'll be any My work life is as dramatic as a movie itself, really.
>> Oh, man.
>> Oh my god, I don't watch TV movie or no time for that.
>> Nothing?
>> Yes.
>> Okay, I will make a guess.
Oh, this is very difficult.
Mhm.
Correctional unit officer.
Shucks.
>> Not even close.
>> Mhm.
Settlement >> Correctional unit officer.
>> Yes.
>> Yes.
You work for Cluster A Z?
Cluster B?
>> No, I'm not inside the complex. Come see. Come see.
>> Oh, yeah. Come see.
>> CCC.
>> Nope.
>> Huh?
>> The one.
>> The smaller one?
I see see.
>> Yes, you are right.
>> ALL RIGHT. YAY!
She might be a ICC officer.
>> Yes and no.
>> Okay, it's manager.
All right. Okay. No one has the experience hanging by a rope.
>> And I even believe it's more challenging for you.
>> Yeah. Well, this time you need the apple box, [music] huh?
>> Yep. Hey, don't tell people, huh?
>> Ah, oops. Oops.
I scared her a bit, huh? Is that getting a bit higher? What did I say, huh? The connection So, what's the question again?
What's my question again?
So, how do you keep hanging on?
>> Me? Right now?
>> Mhm.
>> Apple box, huh? Woo!
>> Not me.
>> Not you?
>> Not me.
>> I thought you.
>> No.
>> [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] >> Oh.
>> [music] >> La la la la.
>> [music] >> La la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la.
