[00:00:00]Okay, so I had a false start. I started recording, but so I heard about 30 seconds of the song, but it is good. So I'm going to I'm going to do a genuine reaction. Here it is. Olivia Dean, Man I Need. Never heard it before, except for the first >> [music and singing] >> So I heard this.

[00:01:52]Anyway, it's like shows the music video being made in the music video. Okay, so the chord progression to the verse and the chorus >> [music] >> We're in F sharp major and we're going 5-1. So, C sharp uh C sharp major F sharp major. Now, if you listen closely, that that C sharp major, the five chord, is in first inversion because you hear the bass go boom boom So, make sure you listen to that when you're listening to the verse. The chorus, it might go That's a common move like a chorus to make it stronger, they'll do like a the roots of each chord. But, in the verse, and I don't know if that's true, we'll check though. In the verse does that half step motion down below.

If we called it D flat major, we'd call it B flat minor, right? So since we're calling everything I'm I'm changing it.

She does these eight the the the actual like the stuff you're hearing like it's an '80s vibe, right? A lot of reverb, a lot of synthesizers.

[00:10:39]That's what I love about the music we're in right now. It's so we have so much to go on as far as similar pop music all the way from like '70s, '80s, '90s.

[00:11:02]Right? It's that kind of music and then all of a sudden the '60s hit and it was like Grateful Dead, right?

[00:11:06]So, I always think of that. Somewhere between the '50s and '60s music changed and then ever since the '60s and now you've still got your blues rock style stuff like I don't know.

[00:11:17]Kind of rambling at this point, but my point being is we can take from anything from the '70s, '80s, '90s, 2000s, 2010s. Wow, there's a lot of lot of decades, a lot of eras you can take from and still have it be useful in a modern context. Um but yeah, I like this 5 It like a '80s '80s synth sound um with cool melodies, really good melodies. There's some major seven chords in there for that cloudy type of feel. I don't know if that's the right word for it, but like a airy floaty kind of feel, right?
