Autistic Woman Accidentally Intimidates Everyone本站添加:
You know the funny thing about being like objectively attractive, intelligent, kind of funny, and autistic? Right. It's like everyone thinks that I'm in competition with them, okay?
And meanwhile, [snorts] I'm standing there like, "Was this a race?"
I thought we were all just like in the same parking lot trying to find the entrance. Was this a competition the whole time?
Did I sign up for this? And you know, I figured this out like weirdly late, too.
Like, people are already lacing up, stretching, changing lanes, and I'm still looking around for a clipboard because I didn't even know I signed up.
Not competing.
Why I'm at.
Like, just trying to make it through a grocery store, answer one text back, leave the house with both shoes on, which, okay, like some days it's a lot, but apparently, just existing on the same field gets read as some kind of challenge energy.
Tragic, really.
The burden of showing up by accident.
