>> Yep.
>> Um and uh have a bit of a discussion about it. So the ride up was weirdly dry.
>> Yep.
>> We had a lot of We had the dozen turn up to the southeast up at Yarra Glen.
>> Yep.
>> And uh what a great ride through.
>> We had about 35 Sorry about that folks.
We had about 35 turn up at um at Bunker Hill or it was Kal Kalow.

>> We love it.
>> Brilliant.
>> We've got them trained well I'll tell you. It's like It's like a It's like a pantomime in here.
>> [laughter] >> Whole lot of fun mate. So that was good and we all ended up getting here about what? 2:00 yesterday? 2:30?
>> Yep.
>> And everybody decided that the first thing we'll do is we'll go and get some drink and we'll all sit around and talk.
And it was a ripper afternoon yesterday wasn't it?
>> Yep. That was good.
>> We had a really good night last night and some people went to bed very early mostly the couples. Now I'm not sure that I'm not insinuating [laughter] everything anything mate.
But I've got to I'm just looking at a a few people here who had their you especially, ET.
>> [laughter] >> You skunk you skunked off early, mate.
Before he left, I said to his missus, I said, "You be good." She says, "I'll be magnificent."
>> [laughter] >> So, it was a it was a ripping night last night, but a few sore heads this morning.
>> Yeah, I I must admit special mention to uh Fergo in the Bananas in Pyjamas over there.
>> Yeah.
>> Um [laughter] I I've never seen a bigger girl in all my life. He he he come to me at the Dinner and Bikes and I'm going home for a sleep. What sort of what sort of biker at 2:00 in the afternoon says I have to go home >> what?
>> And then he comes out in his gym jams with bananas on. What is going on?
Sons of Anarchy I MEAN WHAT SONS of Anarchy my god.
>> He wasn't the only one going home for a sleep.
>> Yeah. And and the and the problem was >> I'd have to say, but >> I was sleeping together.
>> the fact he's tough enough to turn around and actually tell you he's going to do it and he goes [laughter] and does it it says he probably is tough enough.
So, it but weakest fish We've taken a vote. You're weakest fish.
Absolutely fantastic.
>> So, we went across to Cafe and Machines first up this morning.
>> Here we are, mate.
And we're actually a little bit we're not premature for once, mate. We are ahead of time because it's now Saturday morning.
>> Yes.
>> And we had a a rousing reception last night and we've had a whole lot of fun.
Uh last night was a few laughs.
We've Was it 60 60 humans and and one rubber doll?
>> [laughter] >> And it's been an it was an interesting night. We've got a few sore heads this morning, but we're heading off to Rubber Glen for breakfast.
>> Yep. Then we go head across to uh Chilton to see a collection of uh >> garage memorabilia.
>> Yep. All that sort of stuff. And then we're off to see Kenny.
>> Kenny. Hopefully Kenny will be there.
>> At the Dinner and Bikes. Dinner Dinner and Bikes.
>> Oops, we booked the pub.
>> [laughter] >> So it should be good. Should be a whole lot of fun.
>> Let's go before I can't see anymore cuz my glasses are fogged up.
>> [music] [music] >> All right. How did last night go?
>> Awesome.
>> You enjoyed it?
>> I had a great night.
Can't remember. It's always great company.
What can I say?
>> [laughter] >> All ready for a big day, James?
>> All good, mate. Yeah, it's going to be going to be an ace day looking at the weather. So with a few here, so it's going to be a great great uh a great day for it anyway. Yeah.
>> You can't blame me about the weather.
>> No, definitely not.
>> Not this time.
Ready for a big day?
>> Absolutely. Yeah.
>> [music] [music] [music] [music] >> It's nice and chilly this morning, 5°.
That's what you want on a frost buggy run.
>> [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] >> And here it was at my neck.
>> Top bloke. Very foggy this morning. 4 4° I think it was this morning. So, we actually >> We were going like this. It was going like this. It was insane.
>> It was the brass monkey did live up to its name this morning. It was a bit It was a bit cold out there.
And as always Nick did a fantastic job.
If you haven't been to Caffeine Machine, get up there and have a look. He's a ripping great spot.
>> Yeah, right there near on the roundabout as you get into Rubicon.
>> Those toasted sandwiches he had from this morning, the egg and bacon.
Everybody Everybody like a toastie and the egg and bacon sandwiches?
Well, they are trained well, I tell you.
They are They are a good audience.
>> They got us in and they got us out in in less than an hour to feed 60 people with coffees and tea and all that sort of thing and can't can't complain, mate.
>> And then we went across to see Gordon.
>> Gordon out Gordon Gordon must be near 80.
>> He's 90.
>> 90?
>> 90?
>> Yeah.
>> He's [clears throat] 90 years old and what a hell of a collection.
>> Was that Dickie Knee or Angel just then?
>> I'm not sure.
>> [laughter] >> Excuse me, Mr. Summers.
>> [laughter] >> So, we'll put up a little bit of footage from from Gordon's place because it is a a wicked collection.
>> All right, let's go to that now.
>> [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] >> How good was that, mate?
>> That was fantastic. Now, all you people in the audience, that will be edited.
There'll be a whole big section in there. It looks like we went away and came back, but it we didn't. We just That's it.
>> And we missed the more with a in the background crawling around [laughter] on the floor.
>> All right.
Behave yourself, Alex.
>> Nothing to see here.
>> It's what you miss, isn't it?
>> [laughter] >> And then after that we went out to see Kenny at the at the Dederang.
>> The Dederang pub, mate. You said It's tarted that up a little bit, haven't they?
>> And but especially the >> Last time we went there it was like creaking floors and it was falling apart, but now >> What now what do we think of the ride out to the Dederang pub? Fantastic?
>> Beautiful.
>> It's great.
>> But but mate, the the the pothole You know, the government keep telling us they're doing such a bloody good job.
Mate, there was one feeding him >> or a dead dog >> You could bury a dog in it, yeah. 100% it was [ __ ] >> [laughter] >> It was shot.
And I went I went past one when we were later when we were trying to catch up, right? Trying to catch up and I've hit this pothole lately. Luckily, I was going at such speed.
>> You skimmed over it.
>> Skimmed over it, but >> [laughter] >> I could have I could have been killed if I was going at the speed limit.
Absolutely.
>> [laughter] [laughter] >> I tell you, folks, it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by buzzards, let me tell you that.
>> [laughter] >> It's very tough.
>> Speaking of buzzards, why don't we bring in buzzard number three? Bring Choppy.
>> Yeah, or Choppy over >> Choppy, GET OVER HERE, MATE.
>> CHOPPY, GET OVER HERE.
>> [ __ ] WASN'T WORKING.
>> SO, I mean >> [laughter] >> I've obviously the first time I've seen you since the freaking big purple lap.
How's your recovery? All that sort of stuff.
>> All right, but if you played your cards right [laughter] you could have made it tonight.
>> Yeah.
Oh, but the thought of that makes my stomach churn, quite frankly. [laughter] So, now Choppy, can I ask you a question?
Like this Cocaine Cassie, what's the story there?
>> Yeah, she's she's a little love affair [clears throat] I've had on the side.
>> [laughter] >> I've got to say that most of the ladies that have come along this year have been fantastic, but Cassie way too much plastic surgery.
>> Yes.
>> I mean, it's not just her face, her whole body feels feels like plastic.
>> All right, so Cocaine Cassie's a blow-up doll that >> [laughter] >> cruises along on the ride. She gets a lot of attention, so for you viewers who don't know, Cocaine Cassie is a blow-up doll.
>> She >> [laughter] >> That's That's cuz of the Botox in the lips.
I I [laughter] tried to put a needle in her, and she just flew around the room.
>> And what I found like very strange was when when she bent over, she looked the same SORT OF >> THAT'S CUZ >> [laughter] >> SHE LAID DOWN ON ME.
>> SO, WELL, THAT WAS THE OTHER THING. I SAW YOUR BLOW-UP LIKE WHAT WOULD THEY PUT THE valve there to BLOW IT UP?
>> [laughter] >> THAT'S A STRANGE place to put a valve.
>> Definitely. Yeah, definitely.
>> I I tried to reject Cocaine Cassie, mate. She flies around the room.
>> Exactly, mate. Look and and goes down regularly.
>> Yeah, she takes off like a pigeon.
>> Yes, yes.
>> [laughter] >> What do you think, mate? What do you think of the What are you What are you wearing the wrong stuff, mate? You really getting >> [laughter] >> Self-promotion.
>> Self-promotion.
>> What do you think of the Brass Monkey run, mate?
>> Uh the Brass Monkey ride's been absolutely good. The crew is amazing.
Give us a snap of the crew. The crew is amazing.
>> [laughter] >> Everybody rode sensibly and perfect.
Could not fault it.
>> Yep.
>> And everybody just rode in line beautiful, and there was no [ __ ] except for some guy on the street line flying up the inside of Silver Bullet.
>> Well, they had stickers all over >> With the Yeah, stickers all over it.
With his misses on the back.
Yeah, so >> the chick that was on the back.
>> Yeah, 100%.
>> [laughter] >> You guys are awesome, man.
Well done, man. Give yourselves a pat on the back. EVERYONE BEHAVE NOW.
WELL DONE, GUYS.
And well done to you guys, man, for getting us out to some good places.
Yeah, well. I love the company.
>> One of the really good places we went was and not everybody got there today, but when we left the daring we went up the road about a kilometer, did a U-turn, we got it all wrong, mate.
I'm blaming Paul for that.
>> [laughter] >> And then we got back and we went up to the Hume Dam. That was pretty cool.
But that bridge that goes across the Hume Weir.
So we went and checked it out. That was a whole lot of fun.
>> Can I just say, guys, if you haven't been to the Brass Monkey Run and it's We're probably going to continue to cap it at about 70 cuz that's sort of a manageable number.
If you didn't get along this year we'd love you to come next year. And what Chopper said is is right. Like we've we've had We got a pretty strict no [ __ ] policy. And we've been lucky enough to only have two. That's me and Whitey and probably Chopper as well. So that's three. But the rest have been really well behaved and and and done a great job. So if you're sort of thinking about it and you're not sure, you know, you don't like riding You don't You don't like riding in big groups. Um this is the group to come to cuz it's everybody's Everybody's been riding really really well.
No no idiots at all and Yeah, it's always a good group. And when you when you consider the amount of potholes and [laughter] stuff that we have here, it makes it very difficult to to to have everybody you know, stay in line and all sorts of stuff, but everybody's done a fantastic job. So round of applause to everyone. Thank you very much. [applause] >> Yeah, yeah, we we do have to discuss We do have to discuss one thing, mate. One thing that we I failed at, I must admit.
I'll I'll say we probably should have discussed corner marking a little bit >> a little bit more.
>> That's okay. That's okay.
>> mostly good.
>> Yeah.
>> It was mostly good, but we might have to do a show on corner marking, mate, because >> really once it works, it works really well.
>> Yeah, it does. It does. Um so so we will do a show on corner marking cuz it really is a little little thing up there for it.
>> But you know what? Everybody everybody fell in the line beautifully.
>> Yeah.
>> And everybody knew who was up front. All right, we'll stop there to let the marker then know that we turn.
>> Yeah.
>> Everything went well anyway.
>> Yeah. Yeah. No, I thought I thought it was pretty good.
>> Perfect, mate.
>> All right. Well, mate, thanks for coming along again. We really appreciate it.
We'll get another guest on.
>> See you at the next one, brother.
We might bring our old mate Elf from the Sons of Anzac on.
>> Yes.
>> All right. And he can explain to us why his guys went off for a nap.
>> Yes.
>> Elf, get on here.
>> Welcome to THE BOARD, ELF.
>> LOOKING NICE, BRO.
>> YEAH.
>> [laughter] >> LOOKING HAPPY, BROTHER.
>> ALL RIGHT.
>> SO now you you uh come forward, mate.
>> Come forward. Yeah.
>> That's it. Beautiful.
>> Yep.
>> Mhm. Nice one.
>> Um >> [laughter] >> Elf sandwich.
>> So so give us a give us a spiel on on on Sons of Anzac and what it's a social motorcycle >> We're a social motorcycle club up on the Central Coast.
Um we've been going since 2015.
>> Yeah.
>> We're incorporated, so we've got the insurances and everything. We've done it all properly.
>> Yeah.
>> But mate, it's it's mainly about the respect for our veterans in the past, present, >> Yeah.
>> and future.
>> Yeah.
>> Um as I've said to a few people who have have inquired about joining, I said, "Oh, yeah, Anzac Day's our big day.
>> Yeah.
>> You don't go to the dawn [clears throat] service.
>> Yeah.
>> Oh, but that's early.
>> Well, mate, if you don't want to respect the diggers, go and join the Ulysses or something like that, yeah?
>> [clears throat] >> Yeah. Go and join another club if it's Yeah, it's not for you.
>> Yeah.
>> So, who who's eligible to join Sons of Anarchy? Do they have to be returned servicemen?
>> No. No. No. Mate, my father um served in the Nashos.
>> Mhm.
>> Um most of our members have descendants that have served or um my grandfather was in the Second World War and so it's just all about respecting our veterans and everything, mate.
>> 100%.
>> 100%.
>> So, you have you have a one one big ride a year with your like a a a >> We used to. We don't We don't do it anymore, mate, cuz that's our way. It's getting to the stage now where every weekend there's a charity ride.
>> Yeah.
>> And mate, let's face it, you can't do them all.
>> Yeah.
>> Nobody can afford to do them all.
>> Yeah.
>> So >> So, do you think that that a lot of the clubs should get together and say, "Listen, why don't we do one Yeah, let's pick a charity or let's pick two charities and we'll have one ride in this month, another ride in 3 months later, and and and really do it properly rather little drips and drabs." You just go, "Okay, let's let's let's do a big push."
>> Big one.
>> Similar to what um >> the guys up in South Australia, yeah.
>> Yeah, yeah, but it also Yeah, like like what Dragnet do. They get that They put one big thing that everybody goes together and and and and you raise some serious cash.
>> Mate, the thing is up there, they're doing it for different things. Like there's there's clubs that'll do I don't know, say a cancer appeal.
There's others that do it for another cause. And they're Don't get me wrong, they're all doing great work. They're all doing a fantastic job. But we used to do the Legacy Ride. Um for 7 years we did Central Coast Hamper Ride.
>> Yeah.
>> And we raised over $55,000 [clears throat] for for Legacy.
>> Yeah.
>> But we started it from nothing. And it just got to the stage, mate, where it got that big and um the the amount of members that we had that were positive about it and wanted to do it.
>> Yeah.
>> It was the same members year in, year out. And you know yourself, mate.
>> But it's the same with every club, isn't it? The uh 10% of the members do 90% of the work. That's just That's just how club life is, unfortunately. That's just the way it is. But, it's if you can get that 10% are really quality, you actually end up with a really It's It's keeping those people the same people, which tend to be the same people all the time, actually engaged and enthusiastic for long periods of time, and and you can't do that forever.
>> We've We've never tried to recruit for members because I figure that if you're trying to push to recruit somebody into your club, you're not going to get the right fit.
If the people come, they come for a ride with us, you know, you might do half a dozen rides or something, come along, you enjoy yourself, >> Yeah.
>> and mate, >> [snorts] >> you fit in. It's what you want to do.
You want to be a part of that.
>> So, if someone wants to join Sons of Anarchy or come for a ride with you and see if you were a right fit, how do I go about doing that, mate?
>> Jump on Facebook, mate. Sons It's just Sons.
Um and we've got a Facebook page there.
Most of our rides get put up on that, or if you see any of our members there wearing this gear, um I know I shouldn't be wearing this tonight, Woody, but >> [clears throat] >> mate, I'VE GOT THAT'S UM UM >> HEY, HE JUST EARNED HIS $5 DISCOUNT, he did.
>> [laughter] >> Um yeah, you just catch up with any of our members, mate, and have a talk to them like they're all great blokes.
>> Yeah.
>> And and we've got ladies in the club as well. We've got some some Well, you got food. No.
>> [laughter] >> Believe it or not, Burgo is our club club liaison.
>> [laughter] >> Yeah, he's the one to talk to, mate.
He's That's um >> Mate, they just showed us three fingers, and they weren't side by side, mate.
>> I'll have a try I I think he was saying it was a goal.
>> Yes, maybe.
>> Um >> Do they have goals up in New South Wales, or weird things with you?
>> Yeah.
That's what I was trying to Yeah, that's it.
NRL >> better >> But honestly >> No real league.
>> Fergo told me earlier that um you stitched him up.
>> Did I?
>> Yeah.
>> Oh.
>> You told him tonight was a pajama party.
>> [laughter] >> What can I say?
So what have you thought about the Brass Monkey Rally?
>> Mate, fantastic. This is um been an absolute from the start. Um but yesterday I did 733 k's to get here to Albury. And mate, from the time we left home uh Fergo and I left Newcastle, then we picked Snags up at the Central Coast. We rode down to Goulburn and then we caught up with Chopper and and the guys that were with Chopper. Mate, we've been coming down. We had an absolute ball.
>> Yeah.
>> Mate, I know you've got your own thoughts on it, but the dog on the tucker box, mate, that's not bad.
>> [laughter] >> All right, so we just stopped for a ride.
Just for a break for a second um we bumped into Paul's, mate. Look, he he can smell you coming up this way, Paul.
Look, his nose is up in the air. He can smell you.
>> [ __ ] >> [laughter] >> We're outnumbered.
a hell of an attraction >> You know you know somebody somebody actually had a crack at me on like I said said Paul, what's your problem with the dog on the tucker box? I SAID HAVE YOU HAVE YOU ACTUALLY BEEN THERE? IT'S A FREAKING [laughter] 60 CM PLASTIC dog in the middle of a pond.
>> You will never find someone complaining about 60 cm, mate.
>> [laughter] >> Anyway, anyway, now that I've got to FOLLOW YOU NOW >> [laughter] >> BUT MATE, HONESTLY THIS WEEKEND has been brilliant. Mate, you've both you've done a great job, Woody, putting it all together. And mate, it's just as you said, you made people and everyone here is like-minded. There's no egos, there's no testosterone, it's just everyone's >> Because we're all over 50, MATE. THAT'S WHY.
>> [laughter] >> SO NOW YOU START TO UNDERSTAND >> [laughter] >> WHY CERTAIN people have the annual dinner.
Our thing in the [clears throat] club, mate, is we never leave a brother behind. So if he's got to go >> [laughter] >> Well, not exactly with him, but In all fairness, it wasn't my idea. It was these BLOKES OVER HERE.
>> [laughter] >> ALWAYS GOT TO BLAME SOMEONE ELSE, don't they?
Al, thank you very much.
>> All right, now we'd like to bring in Kev Cook.
>> Kev, get on OVER HERE, SON.
>> JUMPING.
>> COME FORWARD.
>> NOW, KEV is our one of our blokes from You Do you live in Canberra, mate?
>> Canberra, yeah, from Canberra.
>> And Kevin was our winner of the raffle and won the Corbin seat. So we brought you up, mate, cuz we thought we're always crapping on about Corbin seats.
Me and Paul have had them for a while and we we're actually big fans, but we want to know from a someone who's not involved, what do you think of your Corbin seat?
>> Oh, it's brilliant.
>> That's what we wanted.
>> Probably done about >> [laughter] >> Probably done about 1,500 to 2,000 K's on it and it's just bedded in really, really well. It's uh >> [snorts] >> Um I had a a pair of seats prior to that and the pair of seats nothing compared to the Corbin seat.
I was lucky enough to be able to get the back rest >> Yep.
>> which made a big difference.
>> Yeah.
So, >> uh Richard looked after you there with really really helpful.
>> Yeah, they um Richard got a hold of me before he was supposed to and started the process.
Um and he was really really helpful in the whole thing, told me what I had to look for, what to what to do.
Um I told him I wanted the seat to be an inch back, inch higher.
So, then he uh I wanted a backrest. Then he contacted me saying he couldn't do a backrest because of the the configuration of the seat.
Um but then he got on to Corbin in America, then they came back and said we got a new mounting thing we're going to try.
And I was happy to go ahead with that.
So, I think it was about a thousand dollars extra for the pad for my wife at the back and the um the backrest for myself.
But uh Richard uh from Select Edge he uh >> organized it all.
>> Organized it so that I didn't have to pay a cent.
So, I basically got about a three thousand dollar seat.
>> [laughter] >> I remember when you called me up, I was on on top of a ladder cleaning my solar.
>> [laughter] >> Are these are these two really just pulling a piss out of me?
>> [laughter] >> We Your first words were oh [ __ ] >> No, I think I said Um [ __ ] no, whatever we needed.
>> [laughter] >> Or you're [ __ ] kidding me or something.
>> [laughter] >> Uh mate, well we're glad you won it.
We're glad you because you're a returned serviceman.
>> Yes.
>> From Gulf War I.
>> Yeah, 1991 Gulf War, yeah. I went I served [clears throat] on HMAS Brisbane.
>> Yeah.
Mate, we'll thank you for your service, as they say.
I couldn't ask met a better person who have won that suit.
>> Yeah.
>> All right. And I've had a bit of a chat to you about it, mate, and uh everybody here would be proud as punch of your service.
>> Yeah.
>> It's uh it means a lot to us.
>> Yeah.
>> All right.
>> 100%. Well, when I when I when I first signed up, I never thought I'd be going to war.
>> Yeah.
>> Well, it is what it is, yeah.
>> Well, what what what were you bloody thinking, mate?
>> [laughter] >> I'm sorry, I'm joining the navy on a big battleship. I might never go to war.
>> I was just hoping to get out of the war.
>> Boy, you married >> [laughter] >> So, you're the war.
>> We were lucky eventually people to blow THEM UP.
>> [laughter] >> YEAH. WELL, WE WERE WE WERE LUCKY ENOUGH >> WE WON THAT ONE. That's all right.
>> Yeah, we were lucky enough that we never actually uh fired a missile or a bomb in anger, but >> We were there. We were there. We needed to, mate.
>> So, what did you think of the brass the brass monkey run, mate?
>> Oh, this is fantastic. This is the first run that I've done like this for many, many years. I was a bit uh worried about it when I left home by myself, but I was thinking, "Well, will I fit in? Well, how will I go?"
>> Yeah.
>> Everybody has been so welcoming. Um the organization has been fantastic. The runs have been good.
>> Yeah.
>> The places that we looked at too were were great. I always wanted to go to coffee machine.
>> Yeah. Yeah.
>> I was actually going to go there tomorrow.
>> Yeah.
>> And spend the day there and then then ride home or come back here and stay the night and then ride home, but now I can go straight home, so >> Yeah. Yeah.
>> It was great, yeah.
>> I saved you an hour and a half.
Is there anything we can't do, mate?
>> [laughter] >> Yeah, it's uh I just want to thank you two for organizing and making us all feel welcome.
