[00:00:00]Week 12, your baby's first health report card. Welcome to episode six of your week-by-week pregnancy guide. 12 weeks pregnant, this is the time for the NTNB scan. Don't miss this as this can detect serious conditions early.

[00:00:16]Here's what we check for.

[00:00:18]First, NT or the nuchal translucency, which is the fluid behind the baby's neck. Number two, the baby's nasal bone.

[00:00:26]Third, we check for any leakage across the baby's heart walls. And fourth, blood flow in the baby's tummy or the ductus venosus doppler.

[00:00:36]This is combined with a blood test, the dual marker or the NIPT, which helps to improve accuracy for the detection of genetic abnormalities, especially the Down syndrome.

[00:00:47]Timing is crucial. This has to be done between 11 to 13 + 6 weeks of pregnancy.

[00:00:52]This one scan equals to big reassurance.
