Thai Girl Takes Me Where Tourists Don't Go! 🇹🇭Added:
This is a place where not very many tourists will come to when they visit Thailand. Not very many expats will visit this place either. Probably not many Thai people will come to this place ever in their lives. This is the province of Surin. And I've had the privilege of being invited on a trip with the Thai girl that I'm seeing and her friend to come and visit this province and see her friend's restaurant open. They're opening a steak restaurant which is kind of random. So, in this video, what I'm going to do is I'm going to take you on this adventure, show you around, show you what life is like going on adventures with a Thai girl as well.
I suppose that's kind of interesting.
But, uh, yeah, just before we jump into the video, I'm actually going to show you how we got here and the journey.
That's where this video is going to start. So, cut to like 12 hours ago when we got this mega bus journey here, cuz I think you'll find that interesting. But look how beautiful this is. It's going to be a good adventure. So, we're about to start a much. How How far is the journey? Miss >> 6 hours.
>> 6 hours. Explorer. Fit. Ready.
And we're off on this trip. This bus journey is going to kill me.
>> Okay. The time currently is 20 to 11 at night.
So, we're linked up with Much's friend.
Size of this receipt. Oh my god.
>> He's like a wizard with that scroll.
There's even a spot here where you can get a little massage while you wait for your bus. I thought that the Wi-Fi password was in Thai, but apparently that says ask the staff if you want the Wi-Fi password. So, we're not that deep into time.
>> So, this is the bus.
Is there a toilet on this bus?
>> Yeah. No.
All right, we made it on the bus. It's like getting on a plane. The lady's dressed like an air hostess and your luggage goes up here.
What's it called? It's called the Airbus as well, right?
So, we've set off and we've been given some snacks, haven't we? Much?
Oh, yeah.
We've been given some purple carrot flavored juice. Do you like purple carrot flavored juice?
>> So, so purple carrot. It's >> sweet.
>> It's sweet.
>> Yeah.
>> Let's try it. Can you fil Can you hold the camera while I try this, please?
Okay. This is going to be the official official sandwich review of the purple carrot juice on the Airbus Thailand to Serin.
>> Wow, that's not bad. That's really nice.
>> Really?
>> Doesn't taste like carrot at all.
>> Uhhuh.
>> Tastes like grape.
>> This grape.
>> Look at me. I've got my little juice box. I'm on my bus on the way to Surin.
I'm looking stacked.
>> Can I ask you a question?
>> Sure.
>> What do you think about foreigners come to Thailand to date Thai women?
>> Depends.
>> Well, it depends.
>> Some guys just want to have fun.
>> Ah, yeah.
>> But some guys just want to have a real >> Yeah.
>> connection.
>> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
>> Like want to have a relationship.
>> Yeah. something like that. So, it's really depends.
>> Okay. Okay. What advice would you give to a foreigner to come to Thailand and get a nice find a nice girlfriend like you?
>> Oh my god.
>> I think just just be yourself.
>> Just be yourself.
>> Yeah. Just be yourself and just like be sincere. Yeah.
>> See, my advice would be the opposite. I would say life for your teeth. Don't be yourself. Become a completely different person.
>> Yeah. I'm I'm joking. I'm joking.
>> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
>> I'm not. No, I am. I am.
This is making me feel sick with this purple carrot thing.
It's always heavy.
That was really heavy.
6-hour lock in on the bus.
I didn't sleep one bit.
>> And it feels like they just got a tuk tuk driver off the street in Bangkok, jacked him up with crystal meth, and just told him to drive as crazy as you possibly can and don't let anybody sleep.
I'm not complaining. We're in Surin.
Surin Surin Surin. So yeah, we just checked into the hotel.
Pretty nice view. pretty beautiful rural local local Thailand. We're about to go and have some local Thai breakfast.
So, yeah, let's uh let's do this. Okay, so first order of business is they're both hungry. It's currently half 6:00 in the morning because we took an overnight bus. So, we're going to go and get some Thai local breakfast, right?
>> Yeah. Sh.
>> Apparently, this is the way to look for Thai local breakfast on Tik Tok. Even in rural Thailand, you can't escape Tik Tok.
This is a scenes in little little old Surin. Little old Surin town. Smells a bit interesting. That's a mango tree. I don't think I've ever seen a mango tree in my life.
It's got the massage shop here. What more? What more could one need? Massage shop hotel.
It's just the necessities, isn't it?
Serin is an interesting little place.
Can you ask him why he likes to live in Surin?
>> Okay.
Oh, his house um close to Myanmar.
>> Cambodia. Sorry. Cambodia.
>> Oh, wow.
>> But was it was it affected by the war?
>> House is safe now.
>> His house is safe now.
>> But he think he's in Serin because it's more peaceful here.
>> Mhm.
>> Is that why?
>> Peaceful than Bangkok or UT >> or the border of Cambodia, I guess.
because of the water there. Yeah, makes sense. Makes sense.
>> This looks pretty tasty.
>> This with some sort of wonton. Looks pretty good. Pork.
>> I think it's mostly pork to be honest.
It looks nicer. Just ordered a fat scran. Say we just ordered a fat scran.
>> Just ordered a fat scr.
If you have a tie girlfriend, you will get your skin looked after while you're waiting for your food.
>> It's a bit of a crazy way to do an egg.
>> Full on Instagram operation going on here, guys. Get that content. Let's get some likes.
That's fat. That actually does fat.
That's really good.
Been told that the bike that I'm going to rent for Surin has arrived at the hotel. So, I'm going to go and get a grab bike back now. Get the bike and then I'll have free roam of Surin.
That's when the adventure really starts cuz I can go where I want. I can do what I want and just Yeah, that's what it's all about. I've never seen so many pineapples in my time. Okay, so we've acquired the beast. There she is. Little PCX.
Everybody's looking at me like I've got two heads in this place.
Haven't seen a white guy on the back of a horse before or something like that.
Um, anyways, let's go.
>> One person, two person, three people on the bike.
>> Yeah, >> this is expert.
>> A bike.
>> Say that again. We have to We have to >> It's like for Thank you.
>> We have to buy something for the staff at the hotel because they helped me get the bike.
>> Yeah.
>> Wow.
>> What can we buy for them? Some onions?
>> No.
>> Just some snack.
This is an absolute scene.
Do you know we bear?
>> Huh?
>> You know cartoon we bear?
>> You look happy.
>> I'm very happy. Yeah, I like to come and do this. I rode past these earlier when I was on the uh grab bike.
They've got so many pineapples.
Do you know what Do you know what this is for?
>> Do you know what this is for? Just just decorate.
>> Yeah, but when when do you put this decoration up?
>> Christmas. Christmas.
>> Christmas. Well done.
>> Oh, we decided to buy some fruit for the hotel staff as a thank you for >> sorting us the bike out. And this little girl staring at me like I'm an alien.
Turn around again.
So, I've been to these local markets a few times when I've been by myself without Thai people and everybody just stares at me like, "What the hell are you doing here?" It feels like But it feels like I'm in the wrong place. Feels like I shouldn't be there.
>> You know what I mean?
>> I think maybe they're thinking something bad.
>> No, >> no, not now. But like when I if I come to something like this on my own >> Mhm. I've done it before where I've walked around and looked.
>> Uhhuh. You just feel like you did something bad.
>> I Yeah, I think Yeah, >> but actually you you didn't >> I know I didn't do anything bad, but I feel like everybody's looking at me like, "What are you doing? Why are you here?" Oh my god, this fish has escaped.
Oh, these are the OG tuk tuk boys over here. OG tuk tuks. Wow. Does not get any more Thai local than this. So, we're trying the >> two bar snack in Surin Province, Thailand.
Come to Thailand, you get >> cuz everybody feeds you >> and then don't take your money.
>> All right, it's another one B snack in Thailand.
>> So tasty. So nice. Uh-huh. Now she wants to take picture with you.
>> Okay. Yeah, sure.
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah. Nice.
>> One, two, three. One, two, three.
>> Okay. Thank you. Thank you.
>> Well, >> thank you very much.
>> That was the zero bar snack in Surin, Thailand. Very tasty. very much worth it. Auntie had great energy. Right. So, we pulled back up at the hotel and um so car and going to have a little sleep, little nap time cuz basically the way this trip is running is like we're not staying here if that makes sense. We're actually getting the bus back tonight. This was just a day trip. Um but obviously we're doing that at like the middle of the night. So, we're ridiculously sleepd deprived. So, we're going to try and have a bit of a nap now so that we can do the rest of the day and then get on the uh bus back home later.
>> It's all happening now. Massage time for the team >> before we sleep.
>> You want to be in the vlog? You want to say hello?
Sorry, sorry.
>> Okay, we've just slept for a few hours and we had a massage as well. Maybe I'll put some clips on screen right now cuz I got a bit chaotic with those ladies. They were characters. I feel like every single vlog that we do, we get into a massage in one way or another. But maybe that's just what this channel's about now. But anyway, we're about to go to They've already left cuz I just had to take a call. But we're about to go to the steak spot that her friend is o What the hell, man? We're about to go to the steak spot that her friend is opening or has opened and eat some tasty steak. So, yeah. This is all about This is what life maxing is about. Getting these little experiences. What the hell?
Right. This is what life maxing is all about. getting these little experiences where you're just in rural Thailand.
What the [ __ ] am I talking about? Let's just just [ __ ] just get on the bike and ride to the place. Just put the fries in the bag, brother. So, we got to the sake spot.
>> Oh, okay. Okay.
M. It's nice.
>> Really? Really? No, >> it is. It's nice. It's nice. Really nice.
>> That is genuinely banging. Genuinely >> really good.
>> Really good.
>> I'm going to be fat by the time I leave this place.
>> If this isn't the best advert to move to Thailand ever, I don't know what it is.
Getting spoonfed nice food in hot weather. That's dank.
>> That's unreal. Whatever they put on those potatoes, slaps this.
>> Really good.
>> Is it paprika?
>> Mhm.
>> Yeah. Really good.
>> Mhm.
>> My food's came. But before I'm allowed to eat it, we have to have an Instagram operation first. I have to have a photo shoot before I can feed myself. This is the steak strip line.
Strip line. Yeah.
Really good.
>> It's well done.
>> Yeah, it's nice. I like it. Don't know what they feed the cows in Surin, but they taste bloody good. That's for sure.
250 bar for this meal.
>> Wow. That's £5.
>> It's cheap. really cheap.
>> They should charge more.
>> Just finished this scrand. This is the uh the shop. She's back again. Wow. This is a shop where we had food. Um so basically the motive for later on is that Much's friend's mom wants to see me because apparently she's interested in foreigners and likes foreigners. So, I'm apparently the tourist attraction today and I'm going to have to go and get viewed. No doubt they'll try and force feed me more food, which at first I don't complain about, but after a while, if you're coming to Thailand and you're mixing with Thai people, you should know it's really rude not to take their food and it gets to a point where you're just force-feeding yourself to the point where you can't enjoy it. So, you kind of got to lock in for that somewhat. But anyway, I need to go to the ATM. So, we're going to go for a little ride again and then we'll continue with this adventure. We continue with this day. I'm enjoying it so far. Okay, we just took a little bit of an L.
Went to get cash out and the machine has swallowed my card. So, >> no more cash for me. No more card.
>> Really? Thank you. That's >> That's good.
>> I don't think I'm very professional, but >> you are.
>> Oh, thank Yeah, you are.
>> Okay, I've just been rotting in my bed and it's time to go and finish this mission. The last thing to do on this trip is to go and meet them. And we're going for something called mukata.
Mukata, I think that's right. It's basically hot pot. Like I think we did that in one of the other vlogs where you get like raw meat, put it in a pot, cook it. It's my first mukatar. So should be interesting. I'm not that hungry just because I'm so sleepd deprived. Like I've done a whole day. Ah, you know, I'm not going to complain. I'm not going to cry. I live in Thailand. I can do what I want. It's [ __ ] is what it is, right?
This is the price we pay for a little bit of life maxing. So anyway, need to get up out of this pit and go meet the gang again and see what they're saying.
And uh yeah, so back to the back to the bike we go. I'm also not sure if the thing with Much's friend's mom is still happening. So we'll see if I get to be brought to be a spectacle somewhere. But one thing I will say is it is [ __ ] hot. Like it is ridiculously hot here.
Like more than Bangkok. So that's not helping. Do you know what? so sleepd deprived that I like feel crosseyed. Has that ever happened to you before?
So should be safe to ride the bike. I have to say coming on this trip has given me the feeling that I got when I very first came to Thailand. That that's what it feels like. discovering rediscovering like the culture shock that Thailand kind of can give you when you come here.
>> So apparently I'm not really clocking on to it, but you're saying that everybody's looking at me.
>> Yeah.
>> When we're walking places, how many >> everyone everyone said?
>> Wow.
>> L is mean handsome.
>> Okay. Okay. See, that's why I love Thailand cuz >> Mhm.
>> Everybody calls you handsome. But >> yeah.
>> Do you think many foreigners come to Surin?
>> No. It's not a place for foreigners.
>> Oh, >> because it's nothing to do here.
>> I think it's just it's pretty cool to walk around.
>> No, just chill.
>> Yeah, >> it is good. You want to try?
>> Do I want to try?
>> No.
>> You want to try?
>> Should I try? Probably.
>> Yeah. I think this one is easier.
>> I've already tried this one before.
>> Oh, really?
>> Yeah. I've tried all I've tried all. I >> This one is good.
Yeah, it looks great.
>> Yeah. Yeah.
>> Uh, grasshopper.
>> Grasshopper. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
>> That's actually nice.
>> Really?
>> Hello, Mac. Yeah, that's actually all right.
>> Really? Don't lie.
>> No, I do. I'm not lying.
>> Okay. Okay.
>> I'm not I'd say if I didn't like it, I'd say.
>> Okay.
>> Does she need pain for that?
>> No, it's okay. You just try.
>> That is gross.
Completely gross.
I will get the name of this place and give a recommendation.
If you're ever in Surin or if you're watching this and you're from Surin, you should come check it out.
>> Uh, Steakback chef.
>> Steakback.
>> Steakback chef.
>> Yeah.
>> Big up Pav. You've had a really busy day doing Thailand things and you're trying to relax.
Thailand adventures are relentless.
>> You can't even you can't even just decompress without being stood on.
>> So, we went to that market.
>> Sorry.
>> And now the plan, the last leg of this journey is to go and do mukatar.
>> Is that what it's called?
>> Mugata. Yeah.
>> Mukatar. We're going to go see our friend's mom.
>> Yes.
>> I don't think I'm going to be very impressive for your friend's mom tonight cuz I'm so tired. No, no, no. It's okay.
>> What does she want to say to me?
>> I don't know. Let's see. No, she just wants to meet me. My friend's mom.
>> She wants to meet you. So, it's not about me.
>> And also you >> because after after my friends >> I don't believe it.
>> Please.
>> This whole time I thought it was about me.
>> Huh?
>> This whole time I thought it was about me. I am an [ __ ] Oh my god.
>> Oh, that's sweet. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Okay. I was making out like I'm some sort of spectacle and I'm being brought as entertainment for the night. I'm not.
She was just enthusiastic about meeting a foreigner. Really? She wants to meet Merch and Ben, which makes sense.
>> All right. I wasn't sure if I was going to make it to this Mukatar place to be honest because I was on my last legs. I am on my last legs.
>> Wow.
What is that?
>> Like fat. Pig fat.
>> Fat. Pig fat.
>> Pig fat to make it oily.
>> So you rub the pig fat on it to make it more oily.
>> Yep.
>> And then you can put the meat on it, right?
>> Okay. Okay.
>> This is a crazy amount of effort to go to for some food.
Hot pot is a lot of effort, but this is like a project. They're like both working on it, putting things in different places.
>> I'm sure it's going to be tasty.
>> Very tasty.
>> Let's give this a go.
>> Yeah, that's really nice. I told you >> that's really spicy. That sauce is >> That sauce is absolutely lethal.
>> Which one?
>> This one.
>> Spicy as [ __ ] >> This is pork liver, which I've definitely tried before.
No, I haven't.
>> That is a mad texture.
>> Then texture is So that was mukatar. But you were telling me much that mugata is what Thai people do when they have a special >> time.
>> Time with their friend. Yeah.
>> Yeah. A special time. A special >> Okay. like a special when you have not seen your friend in a long time and then you see them again. That's very nice.
That's very cute.
>> This is what you like to do.
>> Yeah.
>> Or if you just want to eat, you just eat.
>> Do you know what English people do? They just get pissed.
>> Just finished our mukat. My first ever mukatar. And actually, >> one thing that is a misconception, >> you ping the wrong map.
>> I pinged the wrong map. Yeah.
>> All right. So, we just returned back from Mucata. Had to come home a little bit earlier than the others because I need to take some calls, close some deals, that sort of thing. Um, and yeah, I just wanted to say this place is like it's Thailand in its purest form. That's the best way to describe it. It is like there's no um like everything's in Thai. Look, everything is in Thai. Um, you know, it does say no smoking inside the room in English as well, but it's like when I was downstairs just then, all of the paperwork that she was doing, it's all tie writing. You know, the Wi-Fi password and [ __ ] is tie writing.
And yeah, this has just been Thailand in its purest form. And I think like one thing I want to say is that people get this misconception about Thailand, particularly Thai women, is that they want you for your money. And are there women out there like that who do want you for your money? Of course. But that's not exclusive to Thai women. I just think that like the culture of people in Thailand, they see things through a different lens. They don't see things through the same lens as we do in the West. Not even close. Is that going to work? Yes. Thank God for that. They see things through a different lens to what we do in the West. and the way that they like um judge each other and think of each other, think of other people, talk about other people, it's not the same. Um there's so many little weird like nuances that you pick up when you spend time like in another culture without um a sorry strip off and show you how jacked I am for a second. Um you that you don't pick up on when you're a tourist. Like there's so many little nuances. Like the longer you stay in a country, the more nuances you pick up within people's culture. And I just this trip for me uh I picked up on on certain things I just didn't never thought I would. So we're back from our Saurin trip. Yay.
>> Um much.
>> Yes.
>> Thank you so much for taking me to Saurin.
That was really, really nice.
>> Thank you for coming with me.
>> It's my pleasure. I had a really good time. Full transparency, I'm filming this outro like two weeks. This is two weeks later.
Um, but yeah, just wanted to do a bit of an outro and say how amazing the trip was and how much I appreciated all the kindness that uh, MCH gave me and the kindness that friends gave me. Everybody was very welcoming, very nice to me. And that's what you get when you come to Thailand. Everywhere you go, it's what Thai people is like. It's Thai culture.
And yeah, so that's the video. Over and out. Have you got anything to say?
>> Don't forget to follow.
>> Oh, okay. Hey, subscribe to the channel.
