Josh Cashill’s human-led narration provides the emotional nuance essential for understanding social dynamics, which AI-generated voices consistently fail to capture. This is a sophisticated resource that correctly treats language learning as an exercise in both literacy and emotional intelligence.

⚡Harry Potter Book 4 [CH 23]⚡(CEFR A2+) Audiobook with Full TextAñadido:
Chapter 23 The Christmas Ball Snow falls heavily over Hogwarts.
The grounds are white and quiet.
The Beauxbatons carriage is covered in frost.
The Durmstrang ship sits in the lake with ice around its windows.
Inside the castle, everything is loud.
Gryffindor Tower is full of students.
They have stayed for the holidays.
People laugh, shout, and throw cushions at each other.
No one wants to think about homework.
Fred and George are very proud of their new sweets.
For two days, students keep turning into large yellow birds.
Feathers explode everywhere.
After that, everyone becomes careful.
No one trusts food from anyone else.
Harry promises himself he will never eat anything from the twins again.
The Christmas Ball is only a few days away.
Everywhere he goes, Harry hears the same question.
“Who are you going with?”
Ron keeps asking Hermione.
He asks when she is reading.
He asks when she is eating.
He asks when she is not expecting it.
“Hermione, who are you going with?”
“I’m not telling you.”
“Why not?”
“Because you’ll laugh.”
Ron looks confused and annoyed at the same time.
Christmas morning arrives.
Harry wakes suddenly.
Something is very close to his face.
Large green eyes look at him in the dark.
“Dobby!” Harry shouts.
He almost falls out of bed.
“Dobby is sorry, sir!” Dobby squeaks.
“Dobby only wishes Harry Potter Merry Christmas!”
Ron turns over in his bed.
“Is someone attacking you?” he asks sleepily.
“No. It’s just Dobby.”
Dobby stands nervously next to Harry’s bed.
He wears strange clothes.
There is a bright Christmas ball on his hat.
“Dobby has a present, sir.”
Harry remembers he does not have a gift for Dobby.
He quickly opens his trunk and pulls out an old pair of thick yellow socks.
“Sorry I didn’t wrap them,” Harry says.
Dobby gasps with happiness.
“Socks are Dobby’s favorite clothes!”
Ron laughs and throws Dobby another pair of new socks.
“And take these too.”
Dobby almost cries with joy.
Harry opens his other presents.
Hermione gives him a book about Quidditch teams.
Ron gives him a bag of Dungbombs.
Sirius sends a small knife with many useful tools.
Hagrid gives him a large box of sweets.
Harry feels warm and happy.
But later that day, he remembers something.
Tonight is the Christmas Ball.
His stomach feels tight.
In the evening, the boys change into their dress robes.
Harry feels uncomfortable but normal.
Ron looks like he wants to disappear.
His robes are old.
There is ugly lace at the neck and sleeves.
“They look like a dress,” Ron says in horror.
He uses a spell to cut off the lace.
The edges look messy.
“It’s still terrible,” he mutters.
Downstairs, the common room looks strange.
Students wear bright colors instead of black robes.
Everyone looks different.
Parvati Patil waits at the bottom of the stairs.
She wears bright pink robes with gold bracelets.
Her hair shines in the firelight.
“You look nice,” Harry says awkwardly.
“Thanks,” she replies, smiling.
Ron looks around again.
“Where’s Hermione?”
No one answers.
They go down to the Entrance Hall.
It is full of students waiting for the doors to open.
Slytherins stand together.
Malfoy wears black velvet robes.
He looks proud.
Pansy Parkinson holds his arm.
The oak doors open.
The Great Hall looks magical.
The long house tables are gone.
Small round tables fill the room.
Silver frost covers the walls.
The ceiling shines like a night sky.
Hundreds of lights glow softly.
Harry forgets to breathe.
Then he sees her.
Hermione stands near Viktor Krum.
Harry almost does not recognize her.
Her hair is smooth and tied back.
There is an elegant knot on the top of her head.
She wears light blue robes that move softly when she walks.
She stands straight.
She looks confident.
She looks beautiful.
“Hi, Harry,” she says, smiling nervously.
Ron stares.
He looks as if someone has hit him.
Professor McGonagall calls the champions forward.
Harry walks with Parvati.
Students clap as they enter the Hall.
Harry feels embarrassed.
He tries not to trip.
They sit at the special table near the teachers.
Music begins.
“Come on,” Parvati whispers.
“We have to dance.”
Harry stands and walks onto the dance floor.
He feels stiff, like wood.
He places one hand on Parvati’s waist.
He tries to remember how to move.
It is not terrible.
And he does not step on her toes.
But he does not enjoy it.
After one slow song, he leads her back to the table.
Ron sits there, watching Hermione and Krum dance.
His eyes follow them across the floor.
Hermione laughs at something Krum says.
Krum leans down to hear her better.
Ron holds his chair tightly.
Hermione returns to the table after a while.
“It’s hot in here,” she says.
“Having fun?” Ron asks in a hard voice.
“Yes,” Hermione says calmly.
“Viktor is very nice.”
“Viktor,” Ron repeats.
“What is wrong with you?” she asks.
“He’s from Durmstrang,” Ron says.
“He’s competing against Harry.”
“So?” Hermione replies sharply.
“He’s the enemy.”
Hermione stares at him.
“Don’t be stupid.”
“It’s about winning!”
Ron says loudly.
People nearby begin to watch them.
“It’s about meeting people,” Hermione answers.
“You were excited when he arrived.”
Ron ignores that.
“I suppose he’s using you.
Trying to get information about Harry.”
Hermione looks hurt.
“He hasn’t asked me anything about Harry. Not once.”
Ron shakes his head.
“I would never help him cheat,” Hermione says.
“I want Harry to win.”
“You’ve got a funny way of showing it,” Ron replies.
Hermione stands up.
Ron opens his mouth but says nothing.
Hermione walks away across the dance floor.
Padma looks at Ron.
“Are you going to dance?” she asks.
“No.”
She leaves too.
Harry feels uncomfortable.
He does not want to choose sides.
Later, Harry and Ron go outside into the cold night air.
Snow is white under the fairy lights.
The garden is quiet.
A fountain makes a soft sound.
They hear voices nearby.
Voices they do not like.
It is Snape and Karkaroff.
“I don’t see what the problem is, Igor.”
It is Snape’s voice.
“I am very concerned,” Karkaroff says.
“You cannot pretend it is not happening.
It is getting worse.”
“Then leave, if it worries you so much,” Snape says.
“I will stay at Hogwarts.”
Snape and Karkaroff walk toward Harry and Ron.
They see them in the dark.
Karkaroff looks a little nervous.
“What are you two doing out here?”
Snape asks suspiciously.
“It’s not illegal to take a walk,” Ron answers.
“Then keep walking,” Snape says in a low, scary voice.
Snape hits rosebushes with his wand.
Couples jump out from behind them.
They were hiding there, doing things couples do.
“What is wrong with Karkaroff?” Ron whispers.
“When did he and Snape use first names?” Harry asks.
They walk further.
They see Hagrid and Madame Maxime on a bench.
They are talking quietly.
Harry and Ron hide behind a big stone reindeer.
“It was my mother,” Hagrid says.
“She was a giant.
She left when I was three.
My father raised me.
He died after I started school.”
Madame Maxime says nothing.
“What about you?” Hagrid asks.
“Which side are you a giant on?”
Madame Maxime stands up suddenly.
“How dare you!
I have never been so insulted!
Half-giant? Me?
I - I have big bones!”
She walks away angrily.
Hagrid sits alone.
Harry feels sad for him.
After a minute, he walks toward his cabin.
Ron looks at Harry.
“Did you know?
About Hagrid?”
“No,” Harry says.
“So what?”
Ron explains.
“Giants are mean.
It is in their nature.
Like trolls.
They like killing.”
Harry thinks of Hagrid.
Kind.
Loyal.
Brave.
“I don't care,” Harry says.
“There is nothing wrong with Hagrid.”
They go back inside.
The ball ends at midnight.
Everyone goes to the entrance hall.
Hermione says good night to Krum.
She gives Ron a cold look and walks past him up the stairs.
Ron walks up the stairs slowly.
On the stairs, Cedric stops Harry.
“I owe you for the dragons.
Your golden egg, does it wail when you open it?”
“Yes.”
“Take a bath.
Take the egg with you.
Think about things in the hot water.
It will help.
Use the prefects’ bathroom.
The password is ‘pine fresh.’”
Cedric runs back down to Cho.
Harry stands there on the stairs for a moment, very confused.
Harry goes to the common room alone.
Ron and Hermione are shouting at each other.
“Well, if you don't like it, you know what to do!” Hermione shouts.
“Yeah?
What?”
“The next time there is a ball, ask me first!
Not as a last choice!”
Ron's mouth opens and closes.
He looks like a fish out of water.
Hermione runs up the stairs to the girls' rooms.
Ron looks at Harry.
“Well... that just proves... she completely missed the point...” Harry says nothing.
He is happy to be friends with Ron again.
But he thinks Hermione understood the point better than Ron did.
