Preventing Financial Crime at RevolutAdded:
Revolut operates at a scale no other thing fintech operates.
And our goal is to be live in more than 100 countries.
There are a lot of challenges obviously.
We are focusing on implementing cutting-edge tech into processes that support millions of customers across the globe.
We are building a lot of scalable and advanced systems that allows us to fight fraud, to fight money laundering, and to be regulatory compliant globally.
My main mission is to make sure we deliver processes that are scalable based on quality and reduces the manual tasks that human agent has to do, so that we can use them for more complex investigations.
The most exciting thing for me is working on all the layers, from the raw code and the raw data, to the machine learning models that we are deploying into business processes that we are optimising.
And finally having customer impact.
We moved on to real-time transaction monitoring models.
This is a big change to batch models, because the feature engineering is far more complex, the code base is far more complex, and it also requires far more interaction with the Engineering team.
And probably you would not look into legacy approaches.
You would try to create the process from scratch that is simple, clean, understandable for us and for customers as well.
We're pushed to think everything from the ground up, and this leads to great problem solving.
I think Revolut gives big ownership to everyone.
There is no limits of what you can do at Revolut.
You're not defined by your role.
You can actually pick up any challenge and be involved in any kind of project.
And actually seeing what I do go into production and make a difference.
