Hydrogen nitrate, that means non-metallic nitrates are acids and that's why HNO3, which is nitric acid or hydrogen nitrate, is an acid and it neutralizes the identity of sodium hydroxide, which is a base, and sodium hydroxide neutralizes the identity of HNO3, which is an acid.
