Setting up Meta Business Suite (formerly Facebook Business Manager) is the essential first step before running any Facebook or Instagram ads, as it provides a centralized hub for managing your Facebook page, Instagram account, ad account, and pixel while ensuring security, organization, and scalability; the setup process involves creating a Business Suite account at business.facebook.com, connecting your social media assets, adding team members with appropriate permissions, and configuring billing with a dedicated payment method to prevent account issues and ensure smooth ad operations.

This Is The First Thing You Need To DoAdded:
In this one, we're going to set up your Meta's Business Suite account, what used to be called Facebook Business Manager.
If you're planning to advertise on Facebook and Instagram, especially if you're running an online store or selling any kind of product or service, this step is very, very essential. It keeps everything organized, secure, and ready to scale. So, here's why setting this up properly really matters. You get one central hub to manage everything, your Facebook page, Instagram, ad account, pixel and more. You can also easily get access to team members or contractors later on with right permissions without risking your personal login. And most importantly, proper setup means your ad account is less likely to get flagged, disabled, or hacked. Think of this like setting up the headquarters of your business. It takes a few minutes now, but will save you hours of frustration later. Step number one, you want to go to business.fas.com.
Make sure you're logged into your personal Facebook profile. And don't worry, nothing here connects your personal content publicly. It's just Meta's way of verifying identity. Next, let's click on create account. Fill in your business name, for example, Luna Skincare, and then your name. It's autofilled from a Facebook profile and your business email, ideally something professional like support lunaskinare.com.
Once you click submit, Meta will take you to your new business suite dashboard. The layout might look slightly different depending on updates, but the functions are still the same. I already created an account, so I'm not able to go through this, but you do it.
It's very simple stepby-step process.
Just look at it and you will be able to get through it. Now, let's connect your Facebook page. This is the public face of your business. Go to settings, business settings, accounts, pages, and click add. Add a page if it's your own page or request access if someone else owns it. For example, if you're running an online clothing shop called Urban Wear Co., Your page name might be the same. Add your logo, short bio, and a few photos, and that's going to be enough to get you started. Next, let's connect your Instagram. Go to accounts, Instagram accounts, click add, and log into your Instagram business or create account. Once connected, both your Facebook page and Instagram account will be linked into the same business hub, which makes it easier when you run ads that appear on both platform. I already have my Facebook or Instagram account connected, so I can do this step. Step number four, add or create your ad account. This is where your ads actually run from. Think of it as your engine room. Go to accounts, add accounts, click add, and you will see three options. add an existing ad account. If you've already been running ads, you will just need the ad account ID and it's found in ads manager. Next is request access. If a client or business partner already has one, you can select this one. And next up, you'll need to fill your billing info, and we'll go over that soon in this video. So, for example, if you're selling eco-friendly candles online, you might name your ad account eolite candles ad. So, it's easy to recognize later, especially if you add multiple stores or projects. Now, step number five, add other assets and integrations. And this is optional, but it's highly recommended to do it. As your business grows, you will need to connect a few more things like pixels for tracking conversions on your website, product cataloges. If you are running an e-commerce store and want to showcase multiple products, WhatsApp business or messenger accounts, if you plan to communicate directly with your customers, we'll go deeper into pixels and cataloges in future lessons, but just know that all these integrations live inside your Meta business suite.
Now, next one is step number six, add team members or collaborators. If you're working with others, a freelancer, a VA, or a marketing agency, you'll want to invite them safely. So to do that, go to users, people, add, and enter their email address. For instance, maybe you've hired a social media manager.
Give them access only to your page and Instagram, not billing or ad settings.
This way they can post and manage content but they can't change payment methods or ad permissions. Step number seven, set up your billing and payment.
Now this part is critical and without it you won't be able to run ads. In your left menu, go to billing and payments.
Click on payment methods and from here you can click on add and fill in your card or debit information. And then you can fill your payment method. For example, you may have a debit card or credit card. Just fill it here and click next and do it. It's a simple process.
All you need to do is enter your card details and save them. I'd recommend using a dedicated business card or virtual card just for ads. And it helps you track ad spend and avoid surprises on your personal card. For instance, if you're spending $10 per day on ads, you'll get charged automatically when you hit Meta's billing threshold. Say, for example, $25 or $50 depending on your account. Keeping a dedicated card avoid confusion with other business expenses. And here's a pro tip for you.
Always make sure your card has enough funds before running campaigns. A failed payment can pause all your ads, even your best performing ones. All right, so now let's recap quickly. You need to create your Meta Business Suite account via business.fas.com.
Add your Facebook page. Add your Instagram account. Add or create your ad account. And this is optional. Add other assets like pixel or catalog. We'll go through that in the next lessons anyway.
And next one, add team members safely and set up your billing and payment details. Once you've done all that, your foundation is solid and you're ready to start running ads the right way. In the next lesson, we'll dive into how to link your pixel and set up conversion tracking so you can measure real results from your campaign. So now go ahead, open your browser, follow along step by step, and pause this video when you
