Transforming reading into a 24-hour endurance sport prioritizes the spectacle of consumption over the depth of intellectual reflection. It reflects a modern tendency to gamify solitary habits, valuing the completion of a challenge more than the actual resonance of the text.

i read for 24 hours straight.. β³πAdded:
pretty short and so far I am enjoying it.
Like I want to read a couple books in this video.
Are we excited?
I'm nervous. I'm not going to lie. I'm going to be doing a 24-hour readathon.
And the last one I did, I think was during Bookmiss. So like in December, we're now in April. And I am nervous because I don't know. Sometimes I feel like the last time I did one, it kind of put me in a bit of a reading slump because you're like binging book after book after book. So I'm hoping that's not going to happen this time. We're just going to cross our fingers because we're doing it. I asked on my Instagram about a week ago what you guys wanted me to read if I was hypothetically doing a 24-hour readathon. And most of you guys voted kind of like mood reading and reading my TBR. So, we're going to do both of that. To start off, I am in the middle of a book which was in one of my videos earlier this month, and that's Shield of Sparrows. I am 70% of the way through it, and I do have it on my Kindle again. If you know, you know. So, I am actually going to start with this one, I think, since I'm like already almost done with it. 70% of the way through, we can finish it up, knock it out, and then shut that page and start a new chapter, if you know what I'm saying. I think that's what we're going to go with. I feel like I haven't really been reading on my Kindle a lot lately.
And maybe that's what we need for a 24-hour readathon is like reading via audiobook, via Kindle, and physically.
So, we're going to start with our Kindle, and then we'll probably shift to a physical book right after. I guess that means we're going to be starting soon. It's currently 3:36 p.m., so it is kind of late in the day. I'm on chapter 44 of this book, and it's literally exactly 70% of the way through. I think I do want to start just like right now.
So, let's start our timer. I think in my entire life, I've maybe pulled one allnighter ever. I'm just not that kind of girl. Like, I value my sleep so much.
I'll make a game time decision tonight as to what the heck I'm going to do regarding the timer and my sleep. So, there's 24 hours on my phone.
Okay, it's been literally 5 minutes and I must have stopped at a really good part of the book because holy crap, the slowb burn is finally paying off. We're 70% of into the book, so things have happened. But like, oh my goodness, my jaw is dropped. I did not expect this.
Did not think this was where it was going to go. My heart is racing and I'm in it. Like this is this is a good twist. I like it. This book has taken me quite a while to read. I feel like in the beginning I really really was into it and then I put it down, read a couple books in between and I have still been picking it up, but it's not like been super super engaging as it was at the beginning, but now I'm like, "Oh, I need to finish this." Like I need to know what's going to happen. The good thing is by now the second book is out, so I could get that. I don't have it like on me. I don't I haven't bought it. So, I'm probably not going to read that in this video, but I wasn't sure if I was going to pick up the second book. And now, knowing what I'm knowing, learning what I'm learning, I would be so open to it.
I mean, I have to figure out what's going to happen. I have to see how the ending is going to happen. This is This is getting really good.
And I'm kind of surprised. All right, let me lock in again.
Quick update. It's been almost 2 hours and I am now I think like 90% of the way done with the book. So almost finished.
I did have dinner and that was really good. I didn't stop the timer for that because I think for things like eating, going to the bathroom. I'm just going to let the timer run.
Like what? This is not a racetrack. Why do people treat the street outside of my window like a racetrack? It's so annoying. Anyway, 86 actually% of the way through the book and I'm going to head to the grocery store right now and I'm I was like debating on checking Spotify premium and seeing if I can listen to this, but I think I'm just going to pause the timer while I go to the store. I want to grab some dessert.
That's the plan. And then I'll come back and lock back in and hopefully finish this within like an hour or so and then we'll pick our next read. But that is the update for now. Going to head to the grocery store. Just got back home and I got a like protein ice cream which is pretty interesting. I wanted like a cute little dessert and this looked interesting. It's coffee flavored. I've never had this brand before. I got it from Sprouts.
I don't really care about the protein. I just wanted I love coffee ice cream.
That's like my non-negotiable. I love a coffee ice cream. I love like chocolate, too, but I don't know. Coffee ice cream is just so good. And then it just caught my eye cuz it's 30 g of protein blah blah blah. So, let's try it and see what it tastes like.
I've got to smell it.
M. That's good. It's not super sharp.
Sometimes I feel like the coffee ice creams can be like that.
I just swallowed a whole like piece of it. It just went straight back.
It's very good though. Very light. And it only has three grams of sugar, I think, per serving. Yeah. So, that's insane. And it still tastes like decently sweet. If anything, I would maybe chop up like a little bit of chocolate just to add like I love chocolate like chips or chunks in ice cream, too. And I think paired with this, it would be amazing. So, anyway, back to reading. I'm going to pick up my Kindle again. Have it right here. Hopefully finish the book within the next like hour or two. And like I mentioned, we will then start a new one.
But I'm going to be nibbling on this for the next foreseeable future.
Also, in about 40 minutes, I'm going to start watching Coachella performances because last weekend was weekend 1. This weekend is weekend two and tonight it's Friday. So, I want to watch Catsai and Sabrina Carpenter. Last year I or last year, last week we watched Sabrina's and it was so good and I have to watch it again. And then I've been seeing clips of Catsai. Last weekend though, actually, I was like I've heard about Catsai for the longest time. So, I was like, "Okay, let me check out their Netflix series because they have like a documentary of how they formed the Global Girl group and I binged it all last weekend." So, now I actually want to watch their performance. So, that's the plan. I will pause my my timer for that as well. I haven't even restarted it since I got back. I got back like 5 minutes ago. We just put away all the groceries and I wanted to try this. So, we're going to restart that in a little bit and then pause it again once it hits 8:00 p.m.
We are a couple hours in. Let me check.
I just paused it 20 hours left. So about 4 hours in and I did just finish Shield of Sparrows on my Kindle. I think I would give it four stars. Yeah, it was good. I think I'll pick up the next book as well, but I feel like I might want to wait for that one until like the fall time or when it's like peak fantasy season. I don't know. I'm thinking about it. Now we have to pick our next read. I don't think I want it to be on my Kindle. I want to be a I want it to be a physical book. So, have the TBR cart here sitting nice and pretty.
Oh, I was going to move this ugly backpack out of the way, but for some reason my back is hurting, so that literally hurt. But then we also have the books on my TBR. So, we have these three that I would be tempted to read and then of course all of the ones back here. I feel like I'm inclined to pick like a shorter book or not like a super crazy long book because I want to read a couple books in this video. Let's take a look at what we're working with. I think for this next book, I'm leaning towards more of a mood read, which would be something on the cart and then maybe the book after that will be one of these books from our TBR. Like, this one's really short and I would want to read it in this video, but I don't think it's time for this one yet. I think I need this for when it's like, you know, we're getting tired of reading and we need something short and quick cuz this is like around 200 pages. So, I think this will be a great palette cleanser. The Ballad of Never After would be good.
This is around 400 pages, which is not horrible, but it's another fantasy book, and I just read fantasy, so I don't know if I want to do that. Then we have The Future Saints, which I've heard really great things about. This one's less than 350 pages, and honestly, the font looks pretty good, and it's about like a band historic, not historical fiction, more like contemporary fiction with, I think, a pretty big romance subplot. So, considering this one, actually, we could do a thriller. This story might save your life. This one has been catching my eye lately. It's about two podcast hosts. One of them goes missing and obviously the other podcast host is like prime suspect number one. I grabbed this one because this is probably historical fiction, but this author I've read two of her other books and I actually really really liked them and they're like really engaging. They're like super suspenseful. So I feel like this might be fun too but it is giving kind of long vibes. have Mate on the TBR cart, which is a book by Ali Hazelwood. And I think in every single one of my 24-hour readathon videos, I have read an Ali Hazelwood book. So, this would be kind of perfect as well. It's a paranormal romance between a vampire and a werewolf. I don't know if that's what I'm feeling right now. Honestly, I think the two that are kind of making the most sense for me right now are one of these two. I think if I'm being completely realistic, I'm more down for like the mystery thriller, but this one's on the TBR. I think I'm going to go with this one. And then if I'm like not digging it or whatever, then maybe we'll change it up. But I think I'm going to start with this one. Maybe read the first few chapters and then see what it feel. It says, "The best love stories are the ones you least expect." It's also like 10 something, I think, almost 11:00 p.m.
So, I don't feel too tired, but I usually go to sleep around this time if I'm being honest. Like my daily sleep schedule. A blast of hot wind shakes the house, rattling the windows. All right, this one says, "The woman on the stage is haunted.
We're going with this one. Got ready for bed. I have my little humidifier here.
If you can see the smoke, my book, my heating pad, and we're going to get started. Oh, yeah. Maybe I should start the timer. There we go.
A mailman character's name being Theo.
This is a little distracting. I made it to 20 pages and I think I've been reading for I mean I can't maybe 30 minutes and I just keep like reading those same words. So we made it 20 pages in and I think I'm going to call it for tonight. It's like 11 almost midnight.
So I'm going to pause the timer and then we'll just pick up tomorrow. But so far my favorite part about this book is the fact that it's super local. It takes place in Long Beach and we're following a band that met each other at Cal State Long Beach which is where I went to school. So, I think that's really cool.
And I'm wondering if they're going to be talking about like places around there.
But other than that, I'm going to bed.
See you tomorrow. Good morning. It's the next day. I'm getting ready to go on like a walk run. Probably more walk cuz I woke up and my back hurts and I don't want to make that any worse. But we'll just kind of feel it once we're out there. Haven't started the timer. I plan on checking to see if this book is on Spotify premium, which fingers crossed that it is, so I can actually continue reading it. And then if it's not, I'm going just have to start something new.
Still have about I think I'm 4 and 1/2 hours in. Math is not my strong suit.
Bit of a hectic morning, but I'm coming at you guys outside this time. I went on my little walk run. I did end up running and it honestly felt really good, which is nothing better than when you're on a run and it actually doesn't feel like you're dying. So that was nice. Then we got breakfast burritos and they got my order wrong. We always get like plain Jane burritos. That's like literally the name of it and it's just like egg, potatoes, cheese cuz they have meat options but their plain ones are so good. Tell me why one of ours was sausage. We literally got the bag. We checked it and it said sausage. So we came back and we're like, "Oh, like this one's sausage. We already too plain."
They took a while to try to like fix the issue. It wasn't fixed because we got them and it was still sausage, but whatever. That's besides the point. I'm now about 55% no 60 pages into this book. Feel like I'm getting a little tidbit of romance.
I love the history of the band. They met at the dorms at Cal State Long Beach, which is crazy because that's where I met like some of my best friends. I met my fiance at the dorms. So, that's really nice and it's like super nostalgic. So, I feel like that's definitely playing a part as to why I like this book so much right now. Via audio book, it's really nice as well, but there's so many different like characters and they each have their own voice that it was a little confusing.
So, I'm glad to be picking it up again physically. And we are now at n 18 hours and 40 minutes left. So, I'm at the beach at the beach. I'm at the pool and I'm just going to sit and read this for a little bit. And that's kind of my plan for the next like hour or so. So, let's resume our timer.
It is 200 p.m. now. Showered, changed, ready to continue reading. Obviously stopped my timer while I was doing all of that. This is how much time we have left. So, we're still pretty not so far into this, and I feel like I've been taking a lot of breaks. It's been making me keep a lot of time on my timer still.
So, I think I'm going to lock in for the foreseeable future. I'm almost halfway through the book, chapter 25, 150 pages in. I'm finding my groove with this book. I'm really, really liking it. This is, I think, my third or fourth book by this author. Usually, she writes thriller mysteries, which I really enjoy. This is her first like adult romance book. Loving the romance that we're getting. It's being teased in the perfect way, and we're getting the perfect amount of it. It doesn't feel super super slow. I really like it. The band itself, they're very quirky.
They're very individual. I love all the different bandmates. I think they're hilarious. I love everything that's going on. And I also like that there feels like there's a lot of heart in this novel. Like grief is a major topic that we're kind of discussing and talking about and the effects and how it quite literally catastrophically changes your life. And I like how our main character Hannah is dealing with it. I mean, some would argue she's not dealing with it because she's openly saying like she doesn't want to work through it. She wants nothing to change in a sense. it's not doing things for her that are like super healthy, but she also acknowledges that. So, I just think it's an interesting conversation for the author and like the characters to have. I'm going to continue. I'm going to restart my timer and we're going to lock in because we have to get this timer down.
Right now, if I read for 17 hours straight, I would be finishing up at 7:00 in the morning tomorrow. So, we need to pick up the pace and that starts right now. So, resuming timer, continuing this book. And honestly, I don't want it to finish because I am really, really liking it. But we have to continue. Gonna sit on my little mattress that we built up yesterday.
Quickest of updates. just to say that I have 100 pages left.
I'm coming at you having just finished The Future Saints and honestly this is such a good book. It's like really really close to a five star. I think right now I'm sitting at like a 4.5 honestly 4.75 star rating and I think I'm going to let it simmer a bit and it could be a five star. Like I could easily see it being that. I loved everything about this book. I feel like I don't really know if I even told you guys what this book was about, but it's about Theo, the record or music executive, trying to revive this like dying band, The Future Saints. The lead is Hannah. She is unpredictable, chaotic energy. She has a lot of personal things that she has to heal from. And then there's obviously like band dynamics.
There's a romance subplot. There's like real life situations affecting their careers. Felt like we were growing with these characters. I felt like they were extremely lovable and just real and raw by the end of it. Really, really liked it. Made me laugh out loud a couple of times, which is something I appreciate because obviously it covers like grief and a lot of hard-hitting topics, yet it still had like a comedic touch. And it literally made me laugh out loud a couple times, which I loved that. I I took a note because I was like, "Let me shout out this page." I think it's page 218.
It literally stopped me in my tracks.
And then like the last page of the book, too, was just such beautiful wording. I loved it. Ashley Winston did her big one again because I generally am a fan of her. And this being her first like adult romance, I loved it. Everything about it, it was so so so good. It's so good.
But that means we now have to move on to another book. We are We have 14 hours left. 14 hours and 12 minutes and it's now almost 6:00 p.m. which is crazy because the time just flies when you're reading. I think it's time to pick another book. And this time I think I do want something like shorter. I don't know if it'll be necessarily more fast-paced, but a little bit shorter.
And I did talk about this book last night. I think the one that I want to pick up is Sweet Bean Paste. I think it's Japanese literature translated into English. And this book my brother-in-law actually let me borrow because it was a five-st star read for him. And this month it's actually on my TBR. So, I do want to check this out. It's around 200 pages. It's like short in a vertical way and also in like a page way. And it just seems really cute. I really have no idea what it's about. All I can see are three people on the cover and the title.
That's really all I can go off of. This is the one that I'm going to start next.
I might take a little bit of a mental break. I do have my timer paused and might start making dinner as well. I think we're making pizza. So, I'm really excited about that because I love a pizza. But, I might also dive into this.
Start like the first like 20 or so pages and then maybe relax for a while.
Hopefully, I don't get into a book hangover from reading this because it was just that good. Such a big fan.
I'm so impressed. I am so impressed.
In two minutes, it'll officially have been 12 hours. almost halfway, which is insane. It's taking me a bit longer than usual because I've been taking a lot of breaks, but I'm going to try to not do that and really just commit. In this book, I'm 72 pages in, which is almost halfway because this book is so short.
And it is basically about this little tiny shop that sells like sweet bean pancakes. And this guy works at the shop because he owes the owner money. And this little old lady walks by the shop one day and was like asking a bunch of questions and basically she wants a job.
She's like 70s something. So again, she's really old and he's like, "Well, you're really old. Like I don't really think so." She's like, "Well, I can help you make the sweet bean paste." And she starts making the sweet bean paste and it's a lot better than the one that he was making. Currently where I'm at, they're like getting a lot more customers because of it. And then like the owner's wife comes by and notices that the old lady has like stuff on her hands and like her face is like half paralyzed. So, there's like something wrong with the older lady. Like, she can still walk, talk, she's fine. But the old lady did say she had like a sickness when she was younger, and that's what happened. Like, it caused her fingers to be crooked or something. The owner's wife is like, "Well, she's going to be driving away customers because of the way that she looks. You need to fire her." So, that's where I'm at currently.
I'm enjoying it. It's really interesting so far. It's really like fast-paced, so I I don't really know what to expect or where it's going to go, but I figured I would give you guys kind of the update regarding what's even happening in the book because I realized I hadn't done that. And then I'll update you guys once I'm closer to the end hopefully because again, pretty short and so far I am enjoying it. Now I'm on page 118, chapter 18, chapter 25, page 171 now. So close to being done. I'm so tired.
It's midnight.
This is the face of a girl who is very tired. I did end up finishing another book though and that was Sweet Bean Paced. Honestly, this was very cute, very needed. Maybe not super late in the day like when I started it because I was starting to fall asleep. No fault of the book, just I was getting sleepy. But this is such a cozy and charming slice of life type of book. The main theme is like what is the meaning of life. So while it was heartwarming, it was equally heartbreaking, but I really really liked it. I'm probably at like a three and a half star rating and I would recommend it. If you want something short and sweet, but that has like a deep message that's going to pull on the heartstrings, this is what I would point you towards.
Now, we have 9 hours and 50 minutes left. So, 10 hours and it is midnight.
Like I said, I think I want to go to the mystery thriller that I was looking at earlier on in this video. So, let's go to my TBR cart. Okay, I myself went to the TBR cart just to grab the books that I'm considering. And I'm between these three. This one I mentioned earlier, I think it's historical fiction tied with like mystery thriller. This one is just mystery thriller. And then we have this one that's been on the TBR cart for a couple of years now. It's called A Half-Baked Murder. And I think it's like contemporary fiction, but it just sounds kind of like outlandish and fun and different. And it's also kind of short.
I think it's the shortest of the three that I picked up. This one just sounds so funny. It says, "A formerly trained pastry chef is opening a cannabis bakery and she's 28." I don't know. That sounds insane. This one I had let you guys know it's two podcast hosts. One of them goes missing. Prime suspect number one is the other podcast host. And then this one I think is part of a series. Sometimes the best intentions expose the darkest secrets. It is 1960 in North Carolina.
15-year-old Ivy lives with her family on a small farm. Her parents die. She's left to care for her grandmother, older sister, and nephew. As she struggles with her grandmother's aging, her sister's mental illness, and her own epilepsy, she realizes she might need more than she can give. That is a lot.
That is a big task for such a young girl. But I don't know if this is something that's going to keep me super entertained. I think it could be because like I mentioned earlier, I do really like this author. Have read her work before. I think I'm going to think a little bit on these two cuz this next decision might just be the last book we read in this whole video. It's got to get me through hopefully at least another hour like just to stay awake.
So, I'm going to dwell on this for a little bit and then you guys will see what book I end up picking. I ended up choosing the book that I'm going to be reading and it's A Halfbaked Murder. I went with this one just because I started reading it and it just really caught my attention. Also, if I sound weird, I have my retainer in and I'm trying really hard not to like lisp. I just got ready for bed. So, I got 30 pages into this. Chapter 3 is what I'm on now. And our main character has like this beautiful life in Paris as a bakery or dessert chef and she just got engaged and then her whole life basically blows up. She catches her fiance like cheating on her and then that same day she clocks into work and there's a food critic that shows up and she does not do well. So basically ruins her life and she comes back home because her grandma is diagnosed with cancer. And so she wants to be around her family and her aunt scouts out a little bakery that's like about to be ready to be leased out and her aunt gives her the grand idea of opening up like a cannabis bakery. So that's kind of where we're at. And I already really like it because it sounds just super fun. Like the concept I'm really excited to follow our main character on this little journey.
There's also like a suspenseful tone because there's a dead body and I think it has something to do with her bakery.
It's like teased a couple times, but obviously I'm assuming we're gonna lead up to that point. But for now, I like the small town aspect. I like how there's characters because it's her hometown and she had left. There's like her best friend that's there whose family owns like an inn and so that's where she works. There's like this creepy guy who wants to like hit on her who she knew in high school. So, I like that dynamic. It's also cozy, but fun and flirty, like funny, too. I feel like the main character is kind of funny. So, I'm excited to follow this journey. As you can see, I'm assuming this is going to be her bakery. There's like a bloody knife. So, it's a bit of a cozy mystery, which I think is like perfect. It's also giving spring vibes, which is again perfect for the time of season that we're in. So, I'm really liking this.
It's literally 1:30 a.m., so I might read a little bit more of this. Might not. Sorry, the lighting is horrific. But I will catch you guys tomorrow and update you guys on my timer. At this moment, we're at 8 hours and 37 minutes. I didn't pause it because I was just going to do this quick clip and lock back in. So, good night. I will keep reading and then I'll update you guys tomorrow. Good morning.
It is another day and I am currently at 6 hours and 21 minutes left of this challenge. I've been doing some reading this morning and I'm now on chapter seven of this book, which is this much of the way through. Still really liking it. I feel like this is exactly what I need. I feel like I don't typically pick up books like this that are more of just like cozy, fun, limited plot. It just feels more like a movie. So, I really like that. I feel like sometimes I gravitate towards more like fantasy or more emotional ones that will pull at your heartstrings. Sometimes something like this is a great little palette cleanser. And I love that she's like trying to create her own cannabis bakery. Like it's just so fun following her on her little journey added in with a dead body and trying to figure out what happened to that person. So this is really interesting. I also wanted to mention that I honestly feel really good reading wise. I feel like sometimes when I do these challenges I just feel like burnt out or I don't want to read anymore. But honestly hasn't happened yet. Crossing my fingers it doesn't happen and I don't jinx it. I think it's probably because the last few books that I have read have been so good that it makes it easy to continue reading and I'm not like dragging myself through it.
Hopefully, again, that doesn't change.
But I feel like I'm in a lot of a better place than I usually am at this point in 24-hour readathons. But let's continue.
We, like I mentioned, I have 6 hours left. I'm going to read a little bit and then I'm probably going to make breakfast cuz it's like 10:00 a.m. So, that's probably on the to-do list. I'm really interested to see how this is going to play out. And it's a lot of fun.
This is my little reading nook or where I've been reading for the last like 2 hours maybe on and off cuz I have been getting more and more distracted on my phone. We have 4 hours and 20 minutes 4:20 left exactly which is insane because this morning it was like 9 or something. So, right now it has this ending at around 5:00 p. p.m. Decided to bring you a little bit closer. But we are now almost halfway through the book.
I feel like this one I'm really savoring it. I'm reading it a little bit slower than the other books just because I am really liking it. It is such a pleasant surprise. I love how this author I thought I mean it is still just like cozy little mystery, but I love how the author is like really breaking down like the stereotypes and the stigma behind cannabis through our main character creating a cannabis bakery and also the medicinal properties of it. her grandmother in the book has cancer and so she's undergoing chemotherapy treatments and she's talking about how she infuses her pastries with can of butter in order to help her grandma with her chronic pain and I just think it's so adorable. She also goes to a dispensary for like market research and there was just this really cute little paragraph talking about how there's people of all walks of life going to get like their needs and it's not just like THC products, it's also CBD and like I don't know. I just didn't think that this book would have all of that. So, it's really really surprising me and I'm actually loving it. I love the tempo of it as well. There's a mystery behind everything. The town is so idyllic and cute. It's really giving like a small town, dare I say stars hollow vibe, but like set in like the spring and summertime. So, it's really cute. Page 120. I'm literally just going to sit here and continue reading. This is probably for sure going to be the last book we even touch in this video, but I'm still not even feeling burnt out or anything, and that is such a good feeling to have. So, chapter 11 about to start. Really enjoying this so far. You will find me here for the foreseeable future as I am very comfortable and I am loving this book.
Amazing news. I literally just finished this book, which is insane. I can't believe I finished another book in this video. Am I tired? Yes. Is my timer up?
No. We have almost exactly two hours left. But I think I'm going to make the executive decision to end the challenge now because realistically, I can start another book in the next 2 hours. But I think we've accomplished enough with this 24-hour readathon. So, I'm officially pausing it and we are going to cancel. So, that is it for the readathon. Regarding this book, I took the dust jacket off and I love what the book looks like. It's giving strawberry lemonade. It's so cute. I'm going to probably rate this four stars. I really, really liked it. It was just so fun. It was exactly what I needed. It felt like a breath of fresh air. I will say I felt like some parts of it were just scratching the surface. Although, I do think this is part of a little mystery series. So, I can see how that's going to be beneficial because we're like missing a lot of pieces. The mystery itself, honestly, I could not guess it and it wasn't like it was just really good. I thought the mystery was strong, the like romance was strong, the family bonds were cute, the town was perfect.
So, I really, really enjoyed this. And I another book that I can't believe was on that freaking cart for literally probably 3 years. And I would definitely recommend. It's called A Half-Baked Murder. At the end of the book, too, it's really cute. It has some of her like recipes. One of them being cannabis infused butter, her special salted caramel brownies, and her CBD chai latte. So, I think that's really fun. I love when authors like implement things like that because it really makes the book stand out and make it more memorable in my opinion. But, let me actually grab all the books that we read in this video. All right, I have them all here. This is my little stack for this very successful 24-hour readathon.
We started with Shield of Sparrows on my Kindle, which I was already 70% of the way through. Then we found a five-star read. I'm going to say it in the Future Saints. Loved this book. Highly recommend. Then we had a cozy little slice of life Japanese literature book that I really enjoyed. And then of course our little cozy mystery. I love that I picked these genres. We got a little bit of everything. Fantasy, mystery, fiction, like all of these cute little genres that are perfect for spring. I would recommend any of these books, but I think we're going to wrap it up. I hope you guys enjoyed. Will I be doing another 24-hour readathon soon?
Probably not. I have to let the brain rest. Probably won't be picking up a book the rest of the day either. It's still early on. It's 3:00 p.m. Wow. I think we started this at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, and it's 3:00 p.m. on Sunday.
So, that's pretty funny. And I guess it takes technically like two full days to do an actual 24-hour readathon. Who would have thought? Anyway, thank you guys for hanging out with me and I'll catch you guys in my next video. Bye.
