Fuel prices are influenced by multiple factors beyond simple supply and demand, including geopolitical events, import dependency, and market speculation; countries with limited domestic oil reserves (like the UK, which has only enough to cover one month's needs) are particularly vulnerable to price fluctuations, as they must rely on imports from various sources including Norway (28-29%) and the United States, making them susceptible to external price shocks and market manipulation.

Fuel Costs Are Out Of Control — Everything Is Getting More Expensive 😤Added:
Welcome back to the Yorkshire grown zone.
Look at this. This is the third video.
No, it's not. It's the second. The first one was a creeping one cuz I was so crap at not doing them cuz I've been so busy.
Right, so this is what I'm going to be doing.
I'm just going to be smashing out as many as I can. I'm on my way back to Essex, so I've got a couple of hours, so I'm just going to keep churning them out.
So, I've just done that one about the government, blah, blah, blah.
Um God, I don't even know where to start with some of it. I'll tell you what I'm going to do. I'm going to go on about the um price of fuel.
Um and the reasons why it's expensive. The coats saying it's about Iran.
Um there's a lot more to it than that.
One of my things is this.
We have six refineries in this country.
So, why are we not being self-sufficient?
So, they basically buy, so we export and we import.
And we get, I think it's round about 28, 29% of oil from Norway, which is cool.
And the rest we get from uh America.
So, my question is this.
That does not go through the Straits of Hormuz or Hormuz, whatever it's called.
Yet, the price has gone up. So, why is that?
I I just see it as another way for them to just make an excuse to put things up and where and we foot the bill for it cuz we do.
Um and why can we not use our own oil that we've got to produce the fuels?
You're not telling me that we only import enough every single month or I don't know how often we get it. We only have enough to cover that month and then we need You know what I mean?
So, it's shocking really and uh it drives me insane. It's like, why do we always Something happens that's nothing to do with us but yet we always end up the working class person is the one who gets punched in the stomach.
We get shafted all time and it it winds me up. Cost of living's just absolutely outrageous because fuel goes up and obviously all our essentials go up go up like our um commodities as in the our food, our gas, electric, everything else to it.
Anyway, let me know in the comments below what you think.
