If you see the bull's-eye rash and it's the true what we call erythema migrans, which is an expanding ring around the Well, it doesn't have to be around the epicenter of the tick bite, but often it's around the epicenter of the tick bite. Uh it usually happens a couple days after the bite.
You see this expanding ring and uh that that's a hallmark of Lyme disease. If you see that, you can say almost unequivocally, "I've been infected with Borrelia burgdorferi. I have Lyme disease." And that's a great marker to go treat. The problem is that does not happen in everybody that gets uh infected with Lyme disease. So, just because you don't see the rash doesn't mean you weren't infected.
