When negotiating with elite NBA star players like LeBron James, teams must consider multiple factors including the player's age, current performance level, and market value, which typically prevents them from accepting minimum salary contracts; successful acquisitions often require complex sign-and-trade deals involving multiple players and may necessitate additional roster moves to achieve positional fit and on-court chemistry.

LeBron - Another Future with Cavs?Añadido:
Maybe there's something that he's willing to take in terms of a discount because his age, because of the situation.
>> million, done.
Easy.
>> But it's not 3 million. It's not, and it's not going to be the mid-level exception around 13 to 15 million, either. So, if you want LeBron, it's probably going to have to be in a sign-and-trade type deal. So, we're talking Jared Allen. We're talking about Dean Wade. We're talking about Max Strus. We're talking about those kinds of contracts going to the Los Angeles Lakers to bring LeBron here, more than likely.

So, it will take a series of moves. But the one thing that I can say and I was told a long time ago by one of my mentors, never say never. But the one thing that I can say with almost as much certainty as anything that I have said in my entire life is that LeBron is not coming here to make less than Dean Wade.
It is not going to happen. He will not allow that kind of status to be attached to him. He's one of the greatest players of all time. Might be the greatest player of all time. He's not taking the minimum when he's still playing at this kind of level. Um so, I do think it's a possibility, and I do think that the Cavs would be appealing for LeBron. And I don't think the Cavs are in any position to just turn their back on him and everything that he could bring to this organization. Um in saying that, it's not just snap your fingers, sign a contract, LeBron comes here. There would be some loss when it comes to this roster, as well. And then you have to determine, okay, how does that all fit from a positional standpoint, from an on-court fit standpoint, all of that kind of
