🚨 PORT ARTHUR’S “MASTER PLAN”? 🚨Hinzugefügt:
And yes, Councilman do said the plan for the master plan. I'm I'm I'm glad you brought it up because that has evaded me. The master plan for that was referred to. It was Mayor Barty at the time when Miss Langford presented it and she got fired that day.
>> [laughter] >> For presenting a master plan for the entire city.
That master plan is still alive and well. We're still working on it because we at the administrative level still see the need to bring what we would call our security and safety complex to the people in midtown in the middle because we we have an I'm just looking at it from a planner's perspective. Here it is that we have shoreline property that could be utilized for a convention center right out here. If we are able to convince the federal government to move the post office to the middle of town where people are and we could utilize that, you know, for tourism and other other development. So the master plan is still well and alive and the master plan is building on the downtown plan which has identified where the post office is as catalyst area B and it's all laid in the downtown plan.
So we are still working on that master plan and we will continue to provide counsel in the new budget.
With with with with our proposal for the development of the master plan that as it relates to our safety and security complex. But I do intend to approach the federal government to see how we can work with the post office to get it much more centralized where people don't have to move from that part of town to come down here and to utilize key real estate that we could put on the maps as we continue to utilize our waterline as a major asset in the development of the city. That's my vision.
