This video analyzes how the New York Times published an unsubstantiated op-ed by Nick Kristof alleging Israel trained dogs to rape Palestinians, highlighting the importance of journalistic verification standards. The speaker contrasts this with a 300-page report documenting Hamas's October 7th atrocities based on 430 eyewitnesses, arguing that media organizations must rigorously verify sources and evidence before publishing claims, especially when such reporting could incite violence against targeted communities.

I I I I hesitate to begin here, but I feel the need to begin here.
It is I'm I'm just I So, I saw this and thought it had to be a joke.
But, it isn't actually a joke. It It's a real true story in the New York Times by Nick Kristof, who actually has in the past fabled stories, believed people who who made up stories, and he's he's not only done it again, but he has he's embraced a lie, and it is a a horrible lie.
And I'm just gobsmacked that this man has a job.
Nick Kristof in the New York Times has run a piece alleging based on sources tied to Hamas that Israel trained dogs to rape people.
This is a a repeated recurring blood libel against Israel. Israel has been accused of training sharks to attack Egyptians.
Uh to train dolphins to attract their opponents.
Uh now they're being accused of using dogs to rape people. The silence that meets the rape of Palestinians.
Let me read you this my from my friend David Harsanyi a a thread on Nick Kristof's the silence that meets the rape of Palestinians piece which spreads conspiracy so unhinged no one no marginally reputable reporters even touch them. Even the New York Times has relegated this to an op-ed section since it breaks every rule of journalism but even columnists have an obligation to basic standards of evidence and verification. For instance, Kristof tells the story of an unnamed Palestinian woman who claims she was raped by Israelis.
No one is there to witness it. There are no complaints.
There's no medical evidence. There's no photographs. We don't even get the prison name, the reason for the arrest or the dates. The story leaves out any detail that could be used to launch an investigation.
His name sources?
Sami Sayed is a Palestinian activist who publicly celebrated on October 7th and has changed his story. Another source is long-time Palestinian activist and media favorite Issa Amro who went from claiming he was threatened with rape to actually claiming he was raped. The dog rape story comes from Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor a pro-Hamas Qatar-based group and conspiracy theorist who was forced to forced out of UCLA after a sexual harassment allegation involving minors.
It's no accident Kristof ran this piece the same week a 300 page report detailing first-hand testimony and verifiable evidence that rape was systemic and integral to Hamas's October 7th terror attacks came out, a gross effort to whitewash Hamas.
That's from uh David Herszenhorn. Let Let me Let me explain this to you. So, Nick Kristof is a prominent writer for the New York Times. He's not just any writer, he's one of the most prominent writers at the New York Times opinion page. He's been there for a long time.
He uh stepped aside to run for governor of Oregon unsuccessfully and then came back and he has done a piece uh profiled on the front page of the New York Times website and on the front page of the print edition drawing readers' attention to his opinion piece claiming that Israel used dogs to rape people. He has one person who claims to have been raped by a dog that was trained by Israel.
That person has no name, no identifying details, uh nothing that could tie that person to when they were arrested, why they were arrested, what prison they were placed in, nothing.
He then uses additional named people who are documented to be Hamas propagandists to say, "Well, they heard it, too."
And this all stems from one particular conspiracy theory website that the United Nations, which is not exactly a pro-Israel institution, has itself rejected among others as not credible.
And the story came out the day, surprise, surprise, before a 300-page report documenting Hamas's atrocities on October 7th and documenting the Hamas's own tragedies or or depravity within its own people in Gaza.
The report about Hamas is horrific.
Among the mutilated and butchered bodies of young women slaughtered on October 7th, it was their colorful polished nails that many of the morgue staff remember. Bright, beautiful, shiny, pink manicures glistening amid the pervasive gray and green of death are often the only reminder of who these girls had been hours before, but Hamas-led terrorists had not just executed these women, they had deliberately and systematically defiled them, as the most comprehensive account of the atrocities released by the civil commission report shows.
The terrorists shot their eyes, their faces, and their breasts, and even targeted their most intimate parts to destroy their beauty.
Women were stripped, bound, stabbed, shot, burned, executed during and after rape amid an orgy of violence. Heads were decapitated, pelvic bones were shattered, even after death sexual assault continued.
At Kibbutz Be'eri, nails, sharp objects, and pieces of metal and plastic were embedded in a woman whose body was discovered naked and bound.
On another victim, grenades were used.
While ordinarily newspaper censored the full horrors of the accounts, today, as hard as it is, over 430 witnesses, survivors, and experts and medical staff ask that you do not look away.
For over 2 years, they've given evidence to the civil commission, an independent Israeli women's rights non-governmental organization established after October 7th, in response to the failure of international institutions to address the sexual violence committed that day.
The report shows it was not just women who were degraded as a deliberate tool of terror, humiliation, and control. Men were sexually abused, and in one case gang-raped.
Victims were mutilated, whole body parts cut off and used to create depraved scenes gleefully concocted it those who can discover them. It's 180 pages. Now, I I want to compare and contrast this cuz this really is the thing that you need to appreciate.
It was announced that this report was coming out today about the documented horrors of Hamas on October 7th.
They knew the report was coming out.
The report is based on 430 witnesses and survivors and medical staff who saw the dead bodies. You got that? 430 witnesses and staff and experts who saw the dead bodies.
Contrast that with what The New York Times has run by Nick Kristof, which is a single person who is anonymous who claims to have been raped by a dog trained by Israel and then multiple other people who back up that claim saying they heard it, too, and it is all tied to a conspiracy theory outlet in Qatar that runs pro-Hamas propaganda.
There actually are no eyewitnesses to what Nick Kristof and The New York Times amplified. Not a single eyewitness. And this is very important. We have 430 eyewitnesses to the depravity of Hamas in a report and zero eyewitnesses to a report run in The New York Times by Nick Kristof where they would not even run it as a news story. They ran it as an opinion piece. And now inside The New York Times, they are deliberating whether or not to retract the piece because it does not withstand basic scrutiny, but they allowed him to run it at first.
I start the show today with this because violence against Jewish Americans has increased more than 50% in the last several years. Did you know that? Have you heard it? There was a new story the other day.
We put it in the show notes. Over 50% increase in violence against Jews in the United States. And the New York Times decided to allow one of its leading opinion writers to run a piece that is unsubstantiated that amplifies the claims of Hamas against Israel and does so in a way to overshadow and distract from the actual eyewitness accounts of what Hamas did.
It is a well-orchestrated PR campaign.
And by the way, it's not a coincidence that the same people who have embraced this sort of well-orchestrated PR campaign against Israel are doing the same thing against the United States when it comes to Iran. How many of you have heard about how Iran has won the war? How many of you have heard the media downplay the 40 to 50,000 executed Iranians in the streets? How many of you have heard the media amplify the pro-Iran voices about how strong and emboldened Iran is against the United States? It comes from the same sources that want you to believe that Israel did this atrocious attack with dogs for which there is no evidence and for which you should know animal rights activists have long said it is impossible to train dogs to do that.
In the long litany of things that Israel has been accused of, training sharks to eat Egyptians, training dolphins to bomb Iranians in the water, training dogs to rape Palestinians, it's actually insanely bizarre that the New York Times would allow people would allow people to run a story like this.
It's It's It's a major major libel against Israel at a time that there's been a 50% increase in violence against Jews in the United States. And oh, by the way, last night in New York people showed up outside a synagogue where worshipers were meeting and began fighting people as the Jews came out of synagogue. We live in unhealthy times and the American press corps seems to be doing everything possible to stir the division. Look at the the antagonism in the American press corps over the Supreme Court decisions on on redistricting.
The New York Times I I I've seen reporters I I long ago respected who had seemed to have had their brains broken by Donald Trump claiming that this is the end of black governance in America.
Ro Khanna, a Democrat from California tweeted last night that because of what the Supreme Court has done, South Carolina will have no black representation in the United States Congress. That's Ro Khanna. You got that? This is something the Democrats regularly say. According to the progressive Ro Khanna, Congressman from California, the Democrats and the Republicans and the world will see zero black Democrats or black Republicans or black anyone in the United States Congress from South Carolina. That's right.
Ro Khanna progressive Californian claims thanks to the Supreme Court South Carolina will never again elect a black man to the United States Congress.
Except South Carolina has a black man in the United States Senate named Tim Scott who is a Republican.
You're at the Clicked the wrong button there. Sorry.
South Carolina has a black Republican.
His name is Tim Scott.
Democrats say because of the redistricting efforts of the Republicans, South Carolina is never going to have a black man in Congress again. And there is one.
His name is Tim Scott.
He beat Strom Thurmond's son.
He won a congressional district, the congressional district in which Fort Sumter exists, as a Republican, elevated to the United States Senate by the Republican voters of South Carolina, opposed by the Democrats. And the Democrats refuse to recognize Tim Scott's existence so they can perpetuate a mythology to drive violence in the same way the New York Times wants to drive violence against the Jews.
And the only way to understand the way the Democrats are choosing to ignore Tim Scott is to understand that for history, Democrats have always and forever only seen black people as 3/5 of a person.
