The NAACP’s focus on symbolic boycotts prioritizes narrative control over the material crises of land loss and mass incarceration that actually devastate communities. This critique highlights a troubling disconnect between institutional activism and the tangible needs of the people they claim to represent.

NAACP protest over narratives — but stay silent on land loss, and broken communitiesAdded:
What's up, Chicago Flip Red family, friends, supporters? Today is Friday, May 22nd.
Um, happy Memorial weekend. Uh, if you guys are barbecuing, please let Chicago Flip Red know so we can pop out, pop up in some of these wards and areas.
Um, and just to say hi, but only if you know how to barbecue. Okay. My mother is very, very, very very, very critical of, um, people who don't know how to barbecue, especially if you're from New uh, Chicago, Illinois. Well, Illinois in general.
Um, as you know, the do-nothing NAACP uh, called on black athletes and fans to withhold support of public schools uh, in states attacking black voting rights.
Um, the NAACP launched the Out of Bounds campaign, a national call for black athletes, families, fans, alumni, and consumers to withhold athletic and financial support from public universities in states that have moved to limit, weaken, or erase black representation in the wake of the Supreme Court's 6-3 ruling in Louisiana uh, versus Calcasieu uh, versus Calcasieu's McCalebb's, whatever, however you want to say it, which gutted uh, what was left of the Voting Rights Act. Okay, first of all, um, y'all are out of bounds. The NAACP has been out of bounds for a very long time.
There is an eminent domain crisis going on in majority of the blighted areas in these uh, blue strong hold cities with the representation of black politicians, uh, activist scam groups like NAACP, the corrupt corrupt clergy, and anybody affiliated with these people. We don't even have civil rights attorneys for what we got going on with them taking properties from black elders and living in blighted areas that have been blighted for decades on purpose. On purpose.
We are in 2026, okay? Going into 2027, and these areas, these predominantly black areas in these states that they're talking about, have you seen them?
Have you seen them?
Have you seen the city of Chicago on the South Side and West Side? Have you seen 79th?
Have you seen 75th?
Have you seen Halsted?
Just to name a few.
These have all black representations from the state senator to the state rep to the city council to to to to uh the Cook County Commissioner.
Athletes who are receiving scholarships in these states, please do not lose your scholarship and your future for the NAACP.
The NAACP is an embarrassment to American history. I don't even know how they're still in business. I don't even know who even listens to the NAACP.
The fact that they put a podium together and got negro coons to be around them to tell our black students our black kids to give up their scholarships when you know that we are barely making it out of schools because our kids are not proficient in reading, our kids are not proficient in math.
They are being taught to hate America and that anybody that is that that cares about uh capitalism or is a capitalist is a uh threat to our democracy and a threat to this country even though they they are millionaires and they're capitalist, too. They're always screaming about the working class. They want us to continue to always be just working. Never get anywhere. Don't own anything.
Don't be somebody. Don't be able to help your your family out. Don't want you to procreate. Don't want you to do anything. Don't want you to They don't even want you to sports now. They don't even want you to to to to accept your scholarship.
No voting rights is being taken away. If you go to any of these schools, kids, and you decide that you want to register to vote in these cities or states, right?
And you can and you can vote for whoever you see fit for that city if you if you decide that you're going to be there for 4 years, 6 years. You may decide that you want to stay there.
Or you can continue to be registered at where you're from. So, if you're from Illinois, if you're from New York, if you're from California, if you're from Mississippi, wherever you are, you can go back to your hometown and vote as well.
It's about It's about incompetence that that has plagued our um our history since we have been able to get into these political seats.
We have a group of baby boomers, a group of Gen X, and then these cool millennials that are that are that are moving on up that have failed us politically.
But it starts with the Maxine Waters, the Jim Clyburns, the Al Greens.
Okay? And then you can go to the Ayanna Pressley, you can go to you can go to the Jasmine Crockett, you can go to anybody that's continuing to push a narrative that is just incorrect. The NAACP hasn't cared and cared about the crack epidemic. The NAACP didn't care about the mass incarceration. The NAACP didn't care about the COVID scam. The NAACP doesn't care about that federal ruling that was just ruled uh in in the in the in the city of Chicago for the 2,500 um uh uh properties that were taken unlawfully due to property taxes and taking their equity.
They haven't reached out um to my to to me uh about the due process that my family did not receive for them knocking down a building and regardless of all the all the paperwork evidence they have.
The laws that they just refused to follow.
They haven't reached out to to to Miss Jeff Miss Jessica about her probate issue and why they won't give her her um her deed that has her name on it.
Danielle and they done took her whole her and her husband's whole investment property.
They paid cash.
No loans. Took it right out the opportunity zone. Gerrymandered right up off the opportunity zone. Haven't heard nothing from NAACP though.
NAACP needs to be defunded. I don't even know why and y'all even giving NAACP a platform to even speak on our black students, especially our black men, our young black men. Okay? We have a It's It's It's a crisis going on, okay? It's a lot of sprinkle a lot of gay sprinkling going on in in our community.
And I don't know if it's in the water, I don't know what's going on.
But what we don't need right now is y'all telling our black athletes, particularly our men, to boycott scholarships for something they don't have to do with them.
If they want to vote, they can vote.
They don't want to vote, they don't have to vote.
But one thing they do need to do is get their education and to continue whatever lifestyle or whatever goals that they have in life.
If it has to be with sports, if that's what they want to do, that's great. My father graduated He didn't even graduate high school. He went straight from high school to the NFL.
Okay?
My cousin just got drafted to the Minnesota Vikings.
Think he's the only He's the second person in on the Lee family to go to the NFL. That's huge.
So, for students who are on scholarships or plan on getting attending a attending any of these universities in Tennessee or any of these other areas, Louisiana, keep your scholarships.
Do what you need to do.
Focus on you. Save yourself.
In the words of Dick Gregory, that's what Dick Gregory told me, save yourself.
Make sure you put your family first.
Your education first.
God first.
And continue to make history for your legacy. NAACP doesn't represent black America, freedmen America, America in in general. They They represent an agenda. And the agenda is not for us.
It is never going to be for us.
So, let that go. Honestly, ignore anybody that's associated with the NAACP.
They're incompetent. They've been incompetent for a very long time. And in 2026, they don't speak for me, you, or any of these students that are trying to make a better life for themselves and contribute to this beautiful country that for some reason NAACP and their affiliates don't want us to to to enjoy. They want us to continue to feel like we are oppressed, that this country is oppressing us, and that the Republicans are oppressing us. Nobody's oppressing us but the Democratic Party when it comes to this weird agenda that they're trying to push, and it's illegal aliens, LGBTQ, and the working class.
I keep saying working class and affordability. Working class and affordability don't even go hand-in-hand. They just get them out of just stop voting for them. Stop voting for them until they understand and apologize that they have literally um played this race game for so long that they have nothing else. They have nothing else but that.
Stay in school, kids.
