The most important financial decision for the next 15 years is choosing where to live, as states with pro-energy permitting and pro-capital policies are capturing manufacturing booms, data center buildouts, and construction waves, while states that block energy and restrict capital are losing economic opportunities permanently; since factories require power, power needs permitting, and capital follows energy, individuals should choose their residence strategically to access job creation and economic growth.

The most important financial decision of the next 15 years is where you liveAdded:
So, what is the most important financial decision you can make in 2026 and beyond probably for the at least the next 5 to 15 years is where you live.
Picking the state you live in. Um >> [clears throat] >> Right now, there are states that are um you know, very hostile toward capital.
Um and that means they're hostile toward jobs and so all of the construction boom and all of the data center boom and just kind of all the new jobs and all the you know, kind of good paying jobs that are happening both in construction as well as beyond construction as well as a lot of the entrepreneurship and new company formation a lot of that is happening out of states uh in in the south and in the west.
And states that permit um energy permitting are going to capture the next trillion dollars of manufacturing investment. You can't build a factory if you can't get electricity. And so, if you want to create jobs, you need cheap plentiful electricity uh and cheap energy requires good government permitting and good industrial policy and um infrastructure spending on things like grid uh as well as kind of getting out of of the way of of companies and breaking down some of these old monopolies.
So, all the capital that's um investing in factories shipped plants and key industries are going where the energy is.
Um and so uh Oklahoma just legalized on-site generation and Texas is great welcomes co-location. So, guess where all the jobs are going. Um choose your address like you pick your spouse uh cuz you're going to need to live in a place that supports it. If you can't find a job my suggestion is go to a state where they're creating jobs, where they're welcoming jobs and job creation.
