In free-to-play games like PUBG, the app store takes a 30% commission from all in-game purchases, leaving 70% for developers and publishers, which explains why players cannot afford all the skins and why the game developers earn money primarily through skins and Royale Pass subscriptions rather than direct game sales.

The Secret Reason Why You Have NO LUCK on Lucky Spins ๐Added:
Hello. So, if you're like me, you can't afford all these wonderful skins.
But have you ever wondered who gets the money from all these skins? And why aren't skins just free? Well, I actually found out the answer to that. And it is very, very surprising. I didn't expect what the answer was. So, today we're going to talk about who actually gets all that skin money cuz that is the only way PUBG makes money, right? That's what I think about. That's what I think. And do you think it's fair the way they do it? Should we get free skins from time to time to time or what do you think should happen? I don't know why I'm loading up Ultimate Royale to go lose, but I'm I'm loading up Ultimate Royale to go lose. Make sure you like the video with your nose and subscribe. Yes, we don't like to spend money, but the things look nice and flashy. Who knows where the money goes? Let me see if we got any smart people in the comment section. Before I reveal who gets all the money when you buy a skin, make your guesses in the chat. Let me see if any of you guys are right.
All right, so now that you've done guessing, let me tell you. Let me tell you who I think who I thought got the money first and then I'll tell you who actually gets the money. So, I actually thought that the money went to the designer of the skin cuz I'm assuming that people who make the skin are like individual people cuz some of those skins are not it, bro. So, it's got to be some weirdo who made those skins. But it turns out that when I did my research, I don't hear a mention of a designer at all. Nobody who designed it.
I never heard that they got the skin.
the person who the first person to get the money from the skin is not even a person.
Let me use two shotguns. It's the freaking app store or play store.
Apparently, they get 30% of the money from the skin. And after the app store gets their cut, that's when the game developers, which is 10 cent. Hold on, let me see. Should save this grenade.
Can't afford to die here so quick. So yeah, that's when Tencent gets their the remaining 70% and Craftton, the original creators of PUBG, they get some percentage and we're talking about but I I thought the people who created it, who made the design, got some money, but maybe they're working in inhouse in Tencent and that's how they get paid. Uh they probably got a budget for the designers, but it's crazy. I didn't know that that. So, if I make a a game or a app, that means the app store is going to take a bunch of my money. I don't know if I I would want that. A whole 30%. Bro, that is crazy. Imagine you make a freaking game and the place that you publish the game takes 30% of the earnings from the game. Cuz PUBG is free. The only way to earn from PUBG is by Where did they go? Where did these guys go? Only way PUBG developers earn money is by skins and the Royale pass.
And like if you buy subscriptions and stuff, you know, you got people who are spending $600,000.
I won't call any names. So yeah, off of one person alone, no, how technically off of one person alone, PUBG is making half a million. So that's crazy. But it makes sense why they do the whole thing where you basically have to take a chance. Let me open some BP crates. I actually want to get this skin. This is I think one of the rarest skins and it's just BP. I don't know anybody who has this and I really want to get it. But yeah, PUBG has the chance to get a skin if people just bought skins. like you just you could just buy the M4 um skins or you could just buy any skin that comes out like a lot of games on Steam then I don't think the gaming companies would stay in business the mobile gaming companies would stay in business too long. Maybe that's why that they they have this chance factor where you can't just get the skin. And it's crazy for gaming cuz even PC games like Steam, I've seen where they say they take 30% of the sales of the game. So if you have to buy a game, but a lot of people don't have computers. You know, majority almost everybody that plays video games have a phone. So, if you have a mobile game, then more than likely if you put something that costs maybe like $100 in the in the store, uh, in the mobile gaming store, people are going to try to get it. Look at this guy. This guy has the freaking Ford car.
He probably got lucky and got it early.
But I wonder if PUBG has a system where some people where if a bunch of people gets lucky, then some people don't get lucky. If you know what I mean. If the chance system is like if this guy gets um let's say the Ford Mustang in like five spins, then make it so somebody else doesn't get it for like $1,000 so that they can always win. I feel like that's how it is. But yeah, I was surprised to know that the app store takes that big of a percentage from every sale. That is crazy. So, the app store is really truly the the platform that's making the most out of all these games, but it might it may have c it may cost the app store to host the games.
So, kind of like PUBG's paying rent. Let me see if I can win this Ultimate Royale match. This guy looks like a noob. What are you doing in Ultimate Royale, bro?
It's not safe here.
39 people left.
I feel like they should add recoil.
Recoil. I feel like they should add recoil in Ultimate Royale. Pachinki is empty. This is unheard of.
Parkour two DBS's. Okay. Tell me you're trying to ruin the game without telling me you're trying to ruin the game. But I'll use this though. Extra bullets.
Well, there's less bullets, but I think the fire rate is better. Where is everybody? Everywhere is just quiet.
Grab this M4. Maybe the AKM is a better option for this specific mode. I don't even feel like I'm getting 120 FPS right now. Where is that? Looks like it's at school. Oh, wait. Number one got knocked. What's the zone? Oh, they ran him over. Poor number one. I knew this mode was too rough for him. I need to stay clear of this road. That LOL guy is killing everybody. I'm lagging like crazy. Might as well do 90 cuz it feels like I'm already on 90.
I'm nervous.
Wonder if that guy saw me.
I think taking a wider angle might be better.
Doesn't look like you saw him.
Saw somebody.
Yeah, I'm gone.
Damn it.
We are here.
We are waiting.
