Has Christianity Become Heavier Than Jesus Intended?Added:
Part of my own story is realizing somewhere along the way Christianity slowly became heavier than Jesus ever intended. There was There was life.
There was joy. There was freedom there.
But later, as I got deeper into certain church environments, the the atmosphere slowly shifted. But even back then, something inside me just knew this can't be what Jesus meant when he said, "My burden is light." I remember years later serving in ministry and still feeling that same tension. I love Jesus. I believe the gospel.
But there was this constant undertone that Christianity was still somehow about keeping myself where God wanted me.
