[00:00:49]In today's video, we're looking at the phrase with regard to, which is often incorrectly rendered with regards to.

[00:01:02]Now, the phrase with regard to can be replaced by quite a few other synonyms.

[00:01:09]You can simply say regarding, pertaining to, concerning. You can even say as regards.

[00:01:20]Then there is with respect to, in respect of, in relation to. All of those phrases can re replace with regard to. When you see the word regards as a noun, it tends to refer to some form of greeting like give my regards to your brother or you may sign a letter or email and at the bottom you put kind regards and then you put your name, right? That's when you'll see regards with that S. But never in the phrase with regard to. With regards to is the wrong version and we must avoid it.
