KPIs like revenue, profits, and churn rate are lagging measures that only show what has already happened, making them indicators of past business health rather than predictors of future performance; effective business management requires monitoring leading indicators that reveal what is about to happen, enabling proactive decision-making instead of reactive responses to past data.

Why KPIs are Lagging Measures | Small Business Systemization #shortsAdded:
The KPIs are for monitoring your general business health, profitability, your operational performance, and using that you can see what areas need attention.
And it's basically a indicator of the health of your business and that your business is on the right track. And this is something you need to always keep a pulse on. You cannot let that go. You have to be paying attention to your revenue, your profits, you know, the income of new customers, churn rate, things like that. You have to pick the key ones for your business and they should all fit in one page. The problem with these and a lot of businesses that's the only thing they look at are KPIs. These are all what we call lagging measures. This means they're kind of after the fact. They're only showing you stuff that has already happened. And so it's I mean you need it to tell you the health, but it's not telling you what's about to happen. You have to look at what's leading into it.
