Private credit provides layered capital that optimizes capital stacks based on risk levels, serving as a stop-gap arrangement between traditional bank credit and public markets rather than replacing either; it bridges the gap for companies during the 3-4 year period before they can access standardized financing sources like bank loans, bonds, or equity markets.

What is private credit providing to the Indian capital markets?Added:
There's no dirt of capital. I mean capital is available to corporates. What the private industry or the alternate industry is providing is is a more layered capital. So depending upon the risk involved, there is a particular type of capital available today. So it's no longer unavailability of capital. it is more of uh layering the capital or optimizing the capital within your capital stack. So if you're if if you're starting something new, there's a different risk associated with it. You have a specific capital available for that. If you're a matured industry, say for infrastructure, you want to uh unlock value there from a as a sponsor perspective, there's a capital available for that. So what we are seeing is more optimization of capital. uh private capital is not actually uh replacing anything uh it's not replacing bank capital. It's not replacing public capital. It's only acting as a stop gap arrangement sometimes when uh the need of capital is more structured or more flexible and it doesn't fall into the standardized bank credit or the public markets are not yet ready to absorb it. So between the two extremes you have the alternate capital available to kind of tight through that 3 year 4 year period till the time you fit into either of the traditional sources of capital either bank credit or bonds or you know the equity capital or the equity ECM market. So we we're just trying to bridge the gap as asset class.
We are not trying to compete with or we're not trying to replace any particular asset class. So we're just trying to bridge that gap.
