Verizon is offering a promotion where customers can get four new phones for free at $25 per line without any trade-in requirements, which may help them achieve their growth targets; however, the associated Welcome Unlimited plan has significant limitations including restricted access to 5G ultra-wideband frequencies (N77, N58, N260, N261) that require additional payment, creating a secondary pay wall that other carriers like AT&T and T-Mobile do not implement.

Verizon Incredible Deal BUT the Network Access is Worst in Industry追加:
All right, folks. Welcome back to our channel. Let's take a look at this Verizon deal. I don't think this is anything new. It's actually what I believe is a continued promotion that Verizon is just going to keep on going with because I think it's working and it's achieving the task and getting the results that they wanted, which is growth. All right. So, what Verizon is doing with this deal, four phones for free, and you know, they could be iPhones, Galaxies, Pixels, whatever.
They're flagship phones, you know, uh, whatever the base storage is probably, you know, but it's it's fine. $25 per line and a brand new phone. Let's call it an iPhone 17.
$25 a line. Four lines. So, your price point is going to be a h 100red bucks for the four lines with the phones.
And then with tax and fees, this will probably drive you up closer to 110 or 115 bucks in all likelihood. possibly more depending on your area. But see, here's the kicker, folks. There is absolutely nothing required for you to do in the form of a tradein. So, you don't have to come up with your old phone. You don't have to, you know, get the display fixed on your old phone to get the new one on a trade-in. They're just going to let you do this straight up. Do what you want with your old phone. Sell your old phone. Keep it as a backup in case something happens. hand me down to someone else who needs it or something. I don't know. Whatever the case may be, but you don't have to trade it in.
Man, this when it comes to phone value, this deal is crazy good. But it's kind of interesting because, you know, I don't think T-Mobile's doing this currently.
Unless they bring it back situationally, they have run something similar to this before. I don't know if it's still active as of right now, but it looks like Verizon is kind of running this independently. Nobody else is doing this. T-Mobile's not doing this right now. Um, AT&T hasn't done something like this in a long time. Uh, so they're kind of on their own and that's probably going to lead to some growth numbers for Q2 probably. And if they run this through Q3 and Q4, my goodness, you know, Verizon guided up in their post-paid phone net ads to a million for the year. And I think that this is the type of thing that probably gets them to that number. Uh, so it says here, um, several great Android phones such as the Google Pixel 10A, last year's Samsung Galaxy S25 are, uh, are available as part of the promotion. Plus, you're getting unlimited talk and text. I think this is probably the welcome unlimited plan.
Okay, so not the greatest plan, but that's the only way they're going to do this, right? if you're going to want to move up, your plan's going to get more expensive, which I mean, I can't recommend the Welcome Unlimited plan, which brings us to another point. They they got to do something about the Welcome Unlimited plan. The the lack of like full support for for 5G ultra wideband and stuff is just ridiculous.
putting the part of the network that actually allows you to enjoy the network behind a secondary pay wall. Like you're paying your bill, you're paying for the service, but you need to pay additionally to get access to a frequency like you know N77 or or N 58 or what do they do? It's N260, N261, whatever the the higher frequency bandwidth. It's like no company's doing that. It's just Verizon. AT&T doesn't do that. Um, T-Mobile doesn't do that. They don't ice you out of frequencies and bandwidth. Although, they do structure it so that like once you've used a certain amount of data, you're under network deprioritization at times of congestion, right? Network management, you know, in some of the plants. And sometimes you're on full network management. Some people never feel it or notice it cuz the network's pretty, you know, high capacity or whatever. I just don't understand that, man. It's just silly. I think that needs to change probably more than these deals or whatever, phone deals. I It's just silly cuz if you ask the people who have the welcome plan from Verizon, Welcome Unlimited, they like hate their life.
They talk about how their videos buffer.
They talk about how their experience is weak and poor. They hate it. And then if they probably upgrade their plan, they probably love their cell phone experience. So, I don't know what the hell's taking Verizon so long to figure this silly out. Like, hey, uh, Dan Schulman, the new CEO, maybe do something about that. You want to delight the customer. That's your damn quote. Somebody send this video over to Dan Schulman. You said you would delight the customer. How about you get Welcome Unlimited some real 5G access. Stop bullshitting, dog. Anyways, let me know what you guys think. Drop me some comments. Tell me about the deal and the welcome unlimited plan tied to it. No tradein required, right? All those elements. What do you think? Drop me your comments. Like, share, subscribe.
