Will a Pandemic fix the Energy Crisis? Get Ready!Added:
Hi folks, welcome to the prepared homestead. This is Travis. Thank you all for stopping by to watch. A beautiful morning here in the Ozarks. Uh should be a pretty nice day. Um little little warmer than it has been, but we're getting really into the normal temperatures. It's which so far this year normal has not been a word associated with the weather. um because it's been all over the board already.
And unfortunately, it's probably how it's going to be for a while. Uh looking at all the stuff that's going on weatherwise. But um it's been reported that the president and Elon Musk are flying together on Air Force One to go visit Xi Jinping in China. Along with them are numerous other heads of some of the biggest tech companies and companies that kind of run the world. They're all flying over to, you know, pay homage and kiss X ring or whatever it is. But heads of like Nvidia, Black Rockck, Blackstone, um General Electric, uh Google, Apple, all of them. They're all rushing over to to talk with with I don't know. Is he is he the real boss? Who knows? Um I kind of wonder if this is like the final planning for the great reset type of stuff. Who knows? Uh, but they're all rushing over there trying to secure some deals with China. It's weird because I was pretty sure that um, you know, one of the things that was talked about during the campaign was to bring things back to America and um, you know, make America great and strong and not be dependent upon China, you know, get China out of out of our country and everything. But now we're rushing to China to try to I don't know get what we can from them or work out. Who knows? Who knows what's going on. But uh thought that was kind of interesting. Uh the international energy um agency has put out warnings that the global oil supplies are becoming critically low. Um the just I'm I'm not even talking about strategic oil reserves. I'm talking about just the general supply of oil in the world is becoming critically low.
Uh just this week the United States released another 53 million barrels uh of oil out of the our strategic petroleum reserves and um yeah it's getting critical and it it's it's expected that at some point the oil futures the derivatives you know the paper oil prices will start to catch up with the actual physical oil because you know unless something dramatically happens different in in the Middle Eastern region. Um it's going to start getting bad and and like I've been saying, it's not just what's going on. That's the biggest obviously uh the shutdown of the Straight of Hormuz, but you know, there's certainly a lot of other problems. I mean, there's there's been oil refinery burning and explosions and shutdowns and stuff all over the world for the last several weeks. Uh so there's there's definitely something bigger happening than just uh Iran, but that that's a big one. That's certainly a big one and it's it's going to start affecting a lot of things. I I've been actually I think it was maybe just two or three weeks ago I first mentioned it and then I mentioned it the other day and guess what? Exxon Mobile has come out uh warning of uh coming shortages of lubricant oils uh for your vehicle that um even though we may not get a ton of oil from I mean we get tons but we may not get a large portion of our oil from the Middle East in that region. The oil that we do get is used to make car oil, lubricant oil for your your vehicle. you know, the engine oil, transmission oils, things like that. Um, because it needs a certain type of oil and that's where it's mostly uh received from. And so, they're reporting that uh there could be noticeable shortages in the coming days and weeks. Uh you may see shelves bare in some certain types of of lubricants u for your vehicle. So, I've been warning you, you should probably stock up uh on those things for your vehicle cuz there there may be a shortage for a while.
It's it's getting bad. I you know, I I kind of think that this is all part of the I mean, not kind of, but I've been talking about it. I mean, think about the great reset agenda 2030 plan. We've we've known for years that they want us to to limit dependencies on oil and to limit the movement of people. they want to switch over to these, you know, green energies. And and the reason is is because it's it's controllable, at least the way they want to do it. Um, they want people to cut back on traveling, live in your little pod houses, having your little, you know, tiny cars, electric cars, things like that. And so all of this really kind of pushes us towards that. Um, another thing that could be pushing us towards that is potentially this hanta virus. Uh, if it really kind of gets going and it's like I've been saying, there's certain indications that this may be, you know, the actual the actual reporting of the virus itself may not necessarily indicate that just yet.
Um, but the way that the the reaction to it and if you remember and if you were watching me way back during co that's what I was saying then don't focus so much on what the actual virus is doing focus on the reaction to the virus. Uh the World Health Organization put out a video yesterday that was I mean you could have almost just gone and got a video from six years ago and replayed it. It was so similar. They were had one of their health experts out there saying that, you know, not only does is this virus contagious before you start showing signs that it may actually be contagious before you actually get it. I it's I don't know. So, if you have if you're asymmetric asymmetric asymptomatic and you don't have any symptoms of it, then you could be contagious and you could be spreading around. So, you need to be careful. Um there's a um a few cases now potential that have been confirmed potential cases up in uh Washington state and one I think it's in Illinois that's uh got people kind of monitoring because this person has no connection whatsoever to the cruise ship and is showing symptoms of it. Uh so while it's not spreading like wildfire just yet there there are a number of growing cases and like I said yesterday there's um some experts thinking that it's possibly has mutated uh that's causing this to kind of spread. So, I I don't know. It's Who knows? It It may not be, but I I'm telling you, wouldn't it work perfectly uh to kind of be a cover for the global shortages of oil to kind of keep things under control? Um yeah, there's less oil, there's less fuel, but guess what?
You can't go anywhere anyways because you're all locked down because of a pandemic. Uh I mean during COVID uh if you look at the numbers of of energy use and I remember reporting on it, it took a sudden drop and there were a lot of experts at the time saying, "Man, this would if we could maintain these low levels, this would be great for the environment, right? All the tree huggers and stuff. So it's quite possible that's the plan. if they know they can't control this, you know, sudden, you know, shortage of oil and energy products, uh, well, let's just have a pandemic and cause everything to kind of lock down for a while and and maybe that'll, you know, ease the the the stress on the energy uh, markets and stuff. I I don't know. It's possible.
Um, and it's definitely something to start, you know, I don't know, paying attention to at least. I I I'm not, you know, I'm certainly not out there with red flags saying, "Hey, you know, get ready for for the next COVID pandemic or or even something worse, but uh it is starting to show signs that there could be something to it. Again, not necessarily the the virus, but the reaction to the virus." So, I want to make that clear.
Um, also, I've been talking a lot about food.
um between droughts that has happened all across the United States and continuing to happen uh shortages of fertilizer due to the Middle Eastern conflict and uh rising gas prices um it's it's not looking good. And then you throw on top of that um this this super mega El Nino that they're saying. Uh, and there's there's been more um more data coming out that um it's at least on par with the conditions from 1877, if not worse. And if you if you haven't been paying attention, 1877 was the last really big mega um El Nino. and 3 to 4% of the world in the United States's population actually died during that time due to uh heat exhaustion, heat exposure, starvation, all that kind of stuff. Well, uh it's been reported that the the red uh winter wheat uh harvest is the lowest that it's been since um well, at least about the last 50 55 years. Uh it's extremely low and it's due to drought conditions. There's reports that farmers aren't really even touching fields because there's no point in it. There's no point of even trying to plant or harvest uh because they're so dry. Um there's nothing there. And so um even though I mean there's some of you that don't even eat bread, but that's one of the those main staples um here in the United States and it's it's being destroyed by all of this. Um, and it's it's just getting worse. That's the thing. Like the current conditions right now are really bad and and certain crops and stuff are the the the harvest numbers are looking pretty bleak.
But if you look, you know, into the next season or so based on what's going on, it's probably going to get a lot worse.
you know, so if we've got if we've got drought conditions over the last year, over the last season have been so bad that um that that crop production in certain areas have dropped significantly.
What's it going to be like in the next year or two uh leading into this super El Nino where most of those areas that kind of the bread basket of America is going to experience even hotter and even drier weather? I mean this year already uh remember back in March that's that's when most of the the crop lands are starting to get you know their their water for growing for the season. And March was the hottest and driest March on record in most of those areas. And it was being reported back then that farmers said that they were not going to be able to plant this year because the ground was already baked hard dry that they they couldn't even, you know, turn it over, that there was there was nothing they could do with it. Well, that condition is expected to get worse.
So, I mean, we're we're in a really bad situation and they're saying it's going to get a lot worse. You know, 70% of farmers are saying that they can't afford the fertilizer uh this year. It's very likely it'll be even higher, you know, the next time around. Um, fuel prices, you know, the diesel is now, I think, an average of somewhere around $6. Uh, that's an average a gallon. Um, and that's hurting a lot of small farmers this year. Uh, we've seen a spike already of bankruptcies on farms.
So, it's it's not it's not a good situation.
And so the best thing that we can do is is just continually prepare ourselves. Um I've been telling you for the last few weeks now, buying food, stock stocking up on food right now, as high as it is and and food inflation is high right now, you're still going to save money and it's mostly available. In 6 months, 3 months, 6, 12 months, that may not be the case.
and it's most certainly going to be higher.
So, you need to be even if you, you know, because I see the comments every once in a while, I'm I've I've got a good, you know, I've got a year or two of food supply. That's great. Can you stock up on anything else? Top things off. Kind of relook at it. Do an inventory. See if there's some things that you missed or some things that you've used more than you thought. Um because it'd be a good time. Also, those oils, remember your your vehicle oils, you know, all that kind of stuff. be a good time to stock up on that kind of stuff right now, too. And that stuff's expensive. I just changed oil in both of our vehicles. And it's it just it just it's ridiculous now what a quart of oil costs. I know I'm getting old, but still. Um it's it's crazy what it costs to change your oil anymore. I mean, I used to be able to change oil in a truck with the oil in the filter for less than 20 bucks, and now that's not the case.
But the point is is it's available and it's cheaper now than what it's going to be in a few months. So, uh those are the things that you should probably be doing on top of just the normal uh getting your your your heart ready. Uh you know, strengthening your your faith and your walk with the father. Uh getting your family ready. Um because all that's happening, too. You you need to get prepared, folks. Uh because there's there's way more stuff coming at us. Stuff we kind of know and stuff we have no clue of. And that's why we stay prepared. So get your houses in order.
Prepare yourselves mentally, physically, and spiritually. Thanks for watching.
Catch you in the next video.
