Trans TikTok has gone off the rails...
Added:Hello underachievers. So, before I get into the video, I want to remind you guys that I have a UK tour coming up in October. I'm going to be playing some shows for the first time in 2 years and I am going to Cardiff, Birmingham, Leeds, Nottingham, London, Glasgow, Newcastle and a Halloween show on Manchester. Link to the tickets and VIP upgrades are in the description below and secondly, I have a brand new song out called Mr. Overwhelm. I love it so much and there's a music video out as well, also linked in the description.
You know what this video is, we're going to be talking about trash, queer, non-binary, bisexual, lesbian I'm going to show you some TikToks and Reels that came across my feed.
>> I love this shirt.
>> Thank you.
>> Appreciate it. I love the flag, too.
Oh. Oh.
>> Yeah.
>> Oh.
>> Yeah, he just called us heteropatriarchy and told us we're going to split the gates of hell open.
>> I love that when it comes to pride, trans people and not to say that other gays not did not other LGBTs accuse things, they just have the best outfits, they have the best slogans, they have the best signs. I remember last time I went to pride, there was several dogs dressed up in trans outfits with trans signs on their leads. I love the idea of being a transsexual menace. That is my favorite thing. For a long time, I felt really insecure about calling myself trans. The word trans made me cringe. I was never proud of it. But if I as a child saw the phrase transsexual menace and had the ability to wear that on a T-shirt, Jesus Christ, the things it would have done for my confidence. Also, my favorite thing about going to pride is obviously just like the vibe just in general, but I also love when like partners or like allies or like parents who wear T-shirts that are like, I love my transsexual wife, I love my trans son. My best friend Phoenix's grandma went to a pride once just with like free hugs on her chest and it's just that is that is what pride is for. I feel like this video kind of encapsulates the trans experience within public life.
Like we'll be out there on the street spreading love wearing T-shirts saying we're transsexual menaces and that we love our trans family and then people will call us [ __ ] and perverts.
>> I made my first ever trans friend last year and this is somebody that was assigned female at birth and then later transitioned to being a guy. Now, I didn't know that this dude was trans for the first 6 months that we were friends.
I just assumed he was my most thoughtful guy friend.
>> You never really know what you're going to get when you when you hear about cis people meeting their first trans person.
I like this. I know a lot of people get upset when like trans men and cis men are compared in terms of like how they are in relationships, how they socialize with people. I do like that now cis people understand more about trans people, the ways in which they clock us are literally just like oh he was like a nice guy. He wasn't a piece of [ __ ] It's not that that outed him, but I was a little suspicious.
>> I got suspicious when he >> Literally suspicious.
>> he remembered my birthday.
I was like I think this guy's gay. my first ever [laughter] >> It's a lovely video. It's not from trans people. It's just saying we're quite thoughtful. Good job. More of that.
>> At the end of the day, I'm going to still BE A [ __ ] AND IN MY NEXT LIFE, I'm going to be a [ __ ] in THAT ONE, TOO.
YOU KNOW WHY? BECAUSE I REALIZED HOW MUCH it pisses you hoes off that people are trans, and I enjoy the plot.
>> this so much. The idea that a lot of cis people have about trans people is that they're only being trans for attention or to piss people off. And that's absolutely not why people transition.
That's that's not the motivation.
Usually it's just about like being more comfortable in your body. But I I I do also like that I have that thing as well where I'm like no matter how much you don't want me to be trans, I will always be trans. If you're dealt with the card that you're dealt with when you become trans, you may as well use the trans card to piss people off in ways that they can never get over. And also like I have such a a strange relationship with the word trans. When I was like growing up as a trans teenager, I was like 15, 16, 17. I reclaimed that word to [ __ ] I called everybody a [ __ ] because I I was edgy. I was edgy. But I I I do like that the word sounds so harsh to the ear. It sounds harsh to my ear, but the fact that I can just use that to piss other people off and they can't say it back to me. That is trans privilege.
That that is what trans privilege is.
>> something that the other gender has or gets to do that makes you low-key jealous.
>> It's these studs. I just hate how studs can equip a new loadout depending on the occasion and I'm stuck with what I got.
>> Immediately talking about strap-ons.
Okay, that's I've never heard that.
Equipping a loadout.
>> Good job lesbians on being able to equip a loadout. Also, I know this guy that's saying this is probably not hateful, he's just having a joke. I am sure there are people out there in the world mad at both trans men, non-binary people, or like anybody that like wasn't born with a dick. The fact that they get to choose how big it is and how thick it is.
>> They bring a briefcase and they got they got four they got six they got curve they got upward curve and it's just like I don't have bro, you know?
>> I also like never considered I guess this is a question for people that use this sort of equipment to engage with people. When you're out and about, you like going to a gay bar, you going to a lesbian bar, do you carry the strap with you? Because like if you're going for a hookup with somebody and you don't know them, you don't know where they live.
Like either you have to meet up with them say hey yeah, meet at my place or meet at your place. Give me a second, I just got to go pick up my hog. Is that what you do? Do you carry the hog with you at all times? Is it secretly ready?
I know there are trans people that like use multi-use strap not strap packers that can be used for that activity, but that's just a genuine question. Do you carry that on your person whenever there's an opportunity for you to be with another person? I've already had so many hang-ups about like how like hookup culture works cuz I don't even understand when people are flirting with me. But these these are the like these are the things that I never considered. There are so many steps.
>> She goes into her loadout, goes from from from six to 10. What am I supposed to do? Like I lose the girl. You know what I'm saying? So this it's like I just can't compete with studs bro.
>> Obviously I know he's a man. I know he's a cis man, but this is such a man's perspective of like women look for in sex. The idea of like a woman having the opportunity to hook up with either one guy that's cis with with natal anatomy and a stud who has customizable anatomy. I don't think the thing that is going to decide who the lady sleeps with is like the size of the strap, but I like that that is where your brain immediately goes. There's a lot to say about men feeling inadequate with their downstairs region, but I also like this line of conversation. There's There's no hate about it. I feel like this is also a similar line of conversation about men being upset when like women want to bring toys into the situation. Anyway, we'll we'll we'll move on from that one.
>> Kristen and I met on an online dating site. The only one that I found that had a category for trans people. I looked profile and you know, amazing beautiful woman who built her own straw bale house, was a massage therapist, a trained chef. To me that was a pretty big score.
>> What is it about trans people and just having like random ass skills? One of my closest trans friends wants to become a masseuse. He He wants to get his qualifications to become a masseuse.
He's now becoming a climbing wall instructor. He's also an actor and a musician. We We have There's a lot going on, but also I feel like there's not many opportunities for young trans people to see grown-up trans people in relationships. This is adorable.
>> My child had left home after 17 years. I found myself on this website and they did have a nice profile.
>> Not to make fun of trans men and the way they name themselves. I never pictured Look, a little bit ago we would make fun still right now of trans men choosing the same names. It was for a little you know, it was like Jake, Alex, Noah definitely up there. I'm completely aware of that. It wasn't when I chose it. The thing that we used to take the piss out of in like 2016, 2015 was like every trans guy having a name that rhymes with Aiden like Caden, Braden, Jaden. I've never pictured an elder trans man choosing the name Aiden.
>> Cuz a lot of people will Google like popular boys names or girls names depending on which way you're transitioning for the year that they were born which was I think Noah was up there with in 1999, but I don't think people were calling each other Aiden back then. Although maybe I'm wrong. I just like that there's a grown-up Aiden.
>> She took her arm and just scooped up my arm and she goes, "Let's go get your luggage." I could just feel the warmth and the affection and that was it. That was it for me. I haven't let go since.
>> Oh, they're so in love. I usually I can't stand seeing people in love.
>> [laughter] >> I usually can't stand seeing people in love. And let's not delve into the fact that that's probably cuz I've never seen my parents hug or kiss. But this is making me so happy. This is so cute. We don't see enough of this. I know I make videos about people that hate trans people, but this is a really nice change. I wish them so much love.
>> Aw.
>> Yes. What's your name?
>> Artemis.
>> RIGHT.
IT'S [laughter] NEVER ELIZABETH, IS IT?
>> OH, it's cute. I I like that this is something that we argue about and I'm sure that some people get upset about it cuz they probably feel picked on for choosing names like Artemis and Achilles and Archimedes. But I also love that like the names that trans women choose for themselves and the names that trans men choose for themselves. Obviously, completely opposite ends of the spectrum. But for some reason trans women always want to be like Greek goddesses or like just like sort of like historical, mythical names, which I respect so much. Most people don't get to choose their name at all. So if you're given the choice, you're probably going to go ham with it. I don't regret calling myself Noah cuz I didn't even choose it. Like somebody just said I look like a Noah and I was like, "Yeah, sure." But I do wonder what I would be called if I chose it myself. It'd probably something Also, when I was choosing my name, I was very insecure. So I probably if I chose again, I would choose something stupid like Kevin or Keith. I met a trans guy called Keith and I did make fun of him for choosing that name cuz again, you only have one opportunity to do it, but Artemis is a good one.
>> Was that like your grandmother's name or >> [laughter] >> I also love that trans women call each other dolls. I wish there was like a trans man equivalent for it. I've seen people say like action figures or like Kens, like action men, but there isn't really There isn't really one. We should try and figure that one out.
>> the [ __ ] is happening here at the Santa Monica mall, but they're targeting me.
Because what do you mean? We got Freddy Chen in front of the Untuckit store. I walked 50 ft over. We got a brick in front of the bricks. And when I'm done shopping at Untuck It and Bricks, I find myself at the Tyrannies.
>> Transgenderism everywhere for anyone with eyes to see. That's beautiful. It's annoying that like because I was so anxious about being outed as trans or even anyone relating me to the word of trans, I still have a kind of little heart attack jump situation whenever I see a lorry going past that says like trans.
Cuz trans just means like across, so a lot of like travel companies have trans in front of them. But like I still every now and then when I see the word trans in public, I'm like "Oop."
This is why we need representation. This is This is trans visibility.
>> Why have you got a body body proof a vest on?
>> He says WHY HAVE I GOT A BODY PROOF HE SAYS WHY HAVE I GOT A BODY PROOF SORRY.
>> BECAUSE TRANSGENDER ACTIVISTS ATTACKED ME ALL OF THEM. A transgender ACTIVIST ATTACKED ME HERE. THAT'S WHY.
>> Transgender activists attacked me. All of them. All of them.
>> And when THEY COME AND ATTACK YOU, BRO, THEY'RE BITING YOUR NIPPLES.
THEY BIT ME, MATE. NIPPLES.
>> YOU talking about? Look, there is a likelihood that whoever bit this man's nipples, and especially he's British, there is the likelihood that that you who did that is watching this video. I would like an explanation. I don't see how that's ineffective. If it's self-protection, you you would go straight for the sensitive part. Is that a bulletproof vest? This is the U We don't have guns. Maybe it's a stab vest.
If I see a man in the street with a bunch of signs and a microphones, I immediately think oh god. Oh god, what's he got to say about this now? And it is quite fun to like sit around a little bit have a little bit of a listen. There was a guy on my high street recently that was just talking about god. And lots of Christians went up to him and were very angry about his methods. But like this is just I would love to run into this man.
>> THERE'S ONLY TWO GENDERS. THERE'S ONLY TWO GENDERS.
I'M UPSET. ALL RIGHT.
I IDENTIFY AS A CAT.
>> I'm not going to lie. There There was a certain charm to this guy. I appreciate men that can express their feeling. The passion in his voice really spoke to me.
But it is a little bit funny that he's talking about trans people being angry and then on the street with a microphone yelling about us attacking his nipples.
There's just There's There's There's There's just something beautiful about that. I kind of respected his old method, his old spiel. It's kind of entertaining. I enjoy watching it. Until the joke, I identify as a cat. Look, if we're going to be out on the streets yelling about trans people, we need to be talking about points that not everybody has brought up from the year 2014 until now. Like, we need to develop our jokes. A type five needs work on your stand-up. I'll have more feedback after that's gone, but I I I feel like you're letting yourself down with that.
>> You've got to accept that I'm a cat now.
You won't do that, WOULD YOU?
>> I WONDER IF WE COULD HIRE THIS GUY. I am touring and I feel like nobody better than this man could be a hype man. That is a very effective way to rile up a crowd. Maybe the pits would be bigger if I introduced him. So, wait around for October. He may appear on a stage near you.
>> That's supposed to be a couple's show.
There's only two genders, okay?
Hey, lady.
That Jesus is not a Muslim, bro. That's not a Muslim, bro.
>> Wait, I'm a man.
>> I love the voices in the background are equally as cracked. HEY, [laughter] RERO.
HEY, RERO.
THEY'RE LIKE BARKING. WHAT a fun guy.
What a really fun guy.
>> Difference between men and women is too much. Woman like you, for woman like you, your job is to make a child.
>> What is it with these people barking? I know this guy is making fun. He's impersonating these people. But, why is it Why is it that gruff sort of underdeveloped brain sound?
>> so example, is to go outside, be a provider, lock in on crypto, look at myself in the mirror every single day and say, "You are probably non-binary, but we don't have the info but we have the info, but we don't have the time to figure with the to think about it."
That's what men think about at the end of every day.
>> I love this so much and I This kind of reminds me of the conversations that I have with like some straight men that but maybe not so straight where they're just like, "Oh, well, like Oh, man, like Like I can see if a man's attractive and I I I feel like I can like find him attractive, but like I wouldn't even want anything to do with him, but like he does like when he smiles and that little glint in his eye comes out, like it is kind of beautiful. The shackles within the straight community. Be a little non-binary with it.
>> Me, I go in the mirror in the bathroom, I go, "What are we What is this?"
>> We need more of this. We need more trans jokes like this. Like the guy with the could learn a thing or two from this man or or non-binary feeling individual.
>> This flag does not represent me or any of the gay community. We're tired of being linked to the cult mafia.
>> Who's we?
>> I know ironically, furries in the queer community do so much activism that I feel like people don't recognize the furries enough for what they do for the queer communities. Cuz like they're out here dressing however the [ __ ] they want and whatever gender presentation they want, with hair, with tails, with big old ears. They are kind of like the internet's early transitioners. They are the trailbla- I'm joking. The amount of hate that furries have gotten from outside of the queer community, from within the queer community, I feel like the tide is kind of turning right now where like cringe humor is popular. I've seen so many furries with so many positive comments cuz they're [ __ ] funny. If any community does queer activism the best, it is furries. Cuz they don't give a [ __ ] I think maybe it also comes along with like they don't show their face. So it's not like you can get harassed online or like doxxed for somebody reverse image searching a picture of your your bare face. I am a furry ally. So we're moving on to some more hot take TikToks right now. This is the first one. Trans men are men.
>> Uh yeah, there are no differences between us. No, that's not what that means at all. Trans men are still trans and cis men are still cis. I completely agree. Trans men will never be real men.
Trans men and cis men are both men, just different kinds.
>> I think that's a very good way to explain it. I remember getting into a lot of discourse as a teenager because I was the trans guy that was just like, "There's no difference. We're the same.
We experience male privilege. You You there's anything different is transphobic because it makes me feel uncomfortable. I understand feeling uncomfortable. As a trans person, maybe early in your transition, being told that like you're not the same as cis people. It's true. We are absolutely equally men. We're just different about it. Like gay men are still men. Gay men are as much men as straight men are.
They're just different.
>> Trans men are not less men than cis men just because we weren't assigned male at birth. Cis is not the blueprint.
>> Yeah, the infighting about this kind of stuff is ridiculously exhausting, but I think you explained that very well. I wouldn't even say that's a hot take.
>> Well, I wouldn't say that.
>> I agree with it, would I? But, you know, next one.
>> Trans people are a sign that God is real because in the Bible, if we're saying that the body is only a vessel, then trans people are everyday reminder that the body is a vessel and that there is a greater world and universe spiritually out there that is bigger than our social concepts and norms that pretty much keeps us in prison.
>> I love that. I love that so much. As a not religious person, it does It is kind of heartwarming seeing religious people not trans people or gay people for one, but also like interpret the Bible and like the word of God in ways that I assume Jesus, who is all loving, forgiving, would have wanted it to be interpreted.
>> What's your feelings with obviously the Trump's executive order declaring that there were only two genders, removing the T from the LGBT, and removing it from the Stonewall National Monument's website? What's your feelings on that?
>> Uh white people don't mind their business. Sorry, I know you're white, but >> I mean, fundamentally, yeah. And I don't want to make this a big political argument and and talk about the history of colonialism and how like we have imported homophobia and transphobia and just general queerphobia and hatred to other countries that we now judge for being hateful towards trans and homophobic No, trans and homosexual people. But, he is right. It is a particularly supremacist way of thinking to tell people that they are wrong for not existing as the default.
>> Men don't treat you like garbage because you're trans. They treat you like garbage because you don't have standards. Stop being desperate.
>> I don't know if I agree with that one.
I'm sure there are instances of of of trans people being treated badly because of desperation, but I feel like a lot of that still has to do with transphobia.
Like the way that people perceive you if you're desperate is because nobody wants to sleep with you because you're trans.
Like I don't think you can really separate those kinds of things. I grew up being so hopeless because I did not think that anybody would be attracted to me, let alone would have sleep with me, let alone would be in a relationship with me in public and I and tell their family and the world that they're with a trans person. I feel like this is maybe a specific thing that you're talking about, but I don't think that applies to most situations. It feels a little bit victim blaming, but I will listen.
>> Historically, marriage was used to oppress cis women. For trans women, the patriarchy uses sex work. Doing sex work won't protect your heart. It hardens you and I don't think any amount of money is worth it in my opinion.
>> I don't really think that that's a hot take or an unpopular opinion, really. I don't think most people are approving of sex work, but I also think like this line of argument is kind of ignoring the fact that a lot of the time that trans women or trans men go into sex work isn't because they just want to get rich and make loads of money. A lot of the time, I would say the majority of the time that they go into that line of work is because they don't really have another choice. They can't get employed.
Watch that Ariel Scar Cella video that I just posted. She used data showing that trans people are less likely to be employed as as an argument against people being woke off. Whatever. But like it is hard to get a job as a visibly trans person. So a lot of the time, people want to pay rent. That that's the only line of work that they can go into.
I don't think most go into that line of work thinking it's going to be a wholly positive thing. It's more out of like survival than anything else.
>> Giving other trans women unsolicited advice on how to pass doesn't make you a mother. It makes you a mean girl and it makes you insecure.
>> Very fair point. If a trans person asks somebody what they can do to help them pass and they're given tips, then that's one thing, but a lot of the time and I've seen this within the trans men community, as well, is that like people will just give people unsolicited advice about why they're not passing on a video or a post that has nothing to do with passing. Like I've seen it in the comments of like young trans teens that are like trans guys, but gender non-conforming, and all of the comments will be like, "Well, if you wanted to pass, then you would dress differently.
You can't be mad when people misgender you." And a lot of the time when people are commenting that on people's videos, the people who made that video are aware of why they don't pass, and they're not the type of person to get mad at people misgendering them when they're wearing things that don't align with the gender that they identify with. But yeah, absolutely. I've seen it in a really mean way where people will word it like they're trying to help you out like, "Oh, I don't mean to be rude, but like you have like really feminine face structure. So, if you wanted to pass, you should like wear a hat or like wear clothing that like kind of hides that."
>> Being trans is not enough of a reason to be friends with somebody.
>> Yes.
>> [clears throat] >> Absolutely.
>> I know this is all like dependent on her context, but I do just want to say that like I know growing up as a trans person, I ended up being friends with other trans people that were not so nice, that were quite hateful, and I kind of became that type of person. But the reason I was friends with them is again, because they were trans, and I didn't know any other trans people. So, I think a lot of trans people experience that kind of thing. They will just be friends with any other trans people because they've not met somebody like that, and they they feel the need to be around other people that experience the world the same as they do.
>> I think people really hate trans guys so much because the concept of us being a thing and existing challenges what they came to believe feminism is, and the idea of having to spew something other than "I hate men" as part of your feminism is really alarming and new to some of these people. And then trans men need feminism in order to have equal rights. That scares you people because you don't want to admit that some men have less rights than you.
>> This Yes, okay, this is a hot take, and this is also a conversation that I've seen more so in the last few years. I used to argue that I had male privilege, and I absolutely I experience aspects of male privilege. Like I'm not scared leaving the house and walking down the street at night alone like I would have been before I passed. Men treat me with more respect than they would have done if they saw me as a girl. But, there is also a lot of the trans mask trans man experience that is colored kind of entirely by misogyny in the sense that like real men, cis men, will kind of use gender norms and what a man should be and what a woman should be, misogyny, patriarchy, in order to tell you that you're not man enough. This is absolutely real. Like, I've seen a lot of like trans women in specific, which I understand that it is difficult being a trans woman nowadays. I've seen a lot of trans women specifically like put hateful chauvinistic cis men in the same box as trans men that are just trying to live their life. And yeah, you really do not benefit at all by by telling trans men that you hate men.
>> Trans men will always need feminism and their support and women's support. And but, we can't get it because you guys look at us, you see that some of us pass, and you immediately equate us to cisgender men in the pain that they have caused both of our communities. That's unfair.
>> Yeah, I've no no. That was a hot take I completely agree with.
>> Many self-proclaimed non-dysphoric trans people on here actually do have dysphoria, but they just don't know it because all they know is the watered-down TikTok definition where people just equate having dysphoria with hating yourself completely.
>> I've been speaking about this for like a decade. And I understand why people are sensitive about like the trans medicalism discourse cuz a lot of it is just so harmful. But, I think that it has resulted in a lot of people confusing, as this person said, gender dysphoria with like the utmost like hatred for yourself rather than just like discomfort. Like, not enjoying being called a girl. That is a part of gender dysphoria. There are a lot of aspects of gender dysphoria that people don't really consider gender dysphoria just because of how tense the argument about trans medicalism and dysphoria is.
>> And a lot of these people don't realize that there are different types of dysphoria, like social dysphoria, physical dysphoria. And honestly, I think this idea came from the Calvin Garrah era of trans medicalism because you talk about dysphoria on here, and people just instantly that you're just a Calvin clone.
>> It is weird that like obviously because so much of the trans community is experienced online because in real spaces it's quite difficult to meet other trans people unless you live in like a capital city that's quite like I don't want to say woke cuz that's not the word but like accepting progressive.
I think it's just resulted in there being like so much discourse.
>> like even my generation like I'm absolutely Gen Z but like trans people that are 10 years younger than me did not go through the discourse that we had and it's very interesting to have been there and to see how that's kind of happened. Like I was friends with Calvin Garrah. Like we we were friends for a little bit. But yeah, it is very interesting to see how these kind of arguments have developed because there's absolutely nothing wrong with talking about gender dysphoria. There's nothing wrong with like explaining what that is.
There's nothing wrong with gender dysphoria dictating your motivation for transitioning. It's a very hot button issue that I'm I'm so tired of at this point to be honest but good hot take.
>> Trans spaces are kind of insufferable because people get triggered so easily.
Wait, in the sense that like trans people are invalidated so often. A lot of trans people feel the need to be on defense all the time. If you hear as a trans man, oh, you're a man, you need to build muscle. And then you go online and you're like, hey, can I have some passing [music] tips? And someone says, maybe you should hit the gym. You're going to get defensive because you've heard, oh dude, like why are you so curvy? You're not a real man.
>> Absolutely agree with all of this. I understand it feels like click bait but like 100%. I think most of the time that like cis people are confused why trans people are outraged or like triggered or like angry. They don't understand that it is literally because of trauma. Like it is a trauma response. Even saying it's a trauma response out loud feels so cringe for me to say but it it just absolutely is. As trans people, our internal worlds are so loud. They're full of the things that we've told ourselves about how wrong we are, about how much we hate ourselves and our bodies and the way that we act. But it also is full of things that the world tells us about being trans. So like when you're already living in that existence where you feel like you're going to implode at the slightest inconvenience cuz you can't deal with everything that's going in your head. It's so understandable why they would react that way, like with anger. And I know there was that whole like, "It's ma'am."
GameStop video. And when I see stuff like that, I I understand ah god, it is it is a bit annoying that people are getting this angry and this loud about it. But like I can't be that upset about it because I understand the entire experience. But I won't say that it's not frustrating to see that kind of stuff just because I know that the rest of the world does not have that understanding.
>> In discussions about the entire trans community or even discussions specifically about transgender men, trans men will be like, "Well, trans women have it worse." And someone will say like, "You're centering trans women in a discussion that isn't specifically about trans women." And the reply will be like, "Oh, so you're calling me a white man. You're calling me a man. Just say that I'm male brained because that's what men do."
>> lie. There is a there's a good lot of tweets that I've seen of like very understandably like insecure, depressed, upset, hopeless trans women. They're just like doomers. Like they would just tweet about like how hard their life is and absolutely they're entitled to do that. But again, a lot of what I see about that is them complaining about how much worse they have it than the trans men, which understandably, the media definitely has it out for trans women specifically. But I have experienced that a lot where like trans men will just be talking about the problems that they experience. And because they're men, a lot of people will try to invalidate it as if they haven't had the experience that they have.
>> It's just like so many trans discussions and trans communities and blah blah blah are just so bad to be around cuz people get defensive [music] so fast.
>> It is a particularly I don't want to say hostile, but like maybe like volatile community to be in. A lot of people are kicked out for being trans. A lot of people are abused for being trans. So there is a lot of trauma that comes with it. But yeah, again, that's not to say that there is no work to be done in the way that we communicate with each other.
So, that's the end of the video. Let me know what you think about the hot takes.
And do you have any of your own trans-specific hot takes? Let me know in the comments. Have a good day or don't.
See you later, losers. Buy tickets to my show. Goodbye.
Welcome to the Patreon portion of the video where I shout out my backstage ghouls, which is a tier of my Patreon.
Okay, [singing] people >> [music] >> People think you're [ __ ] crazy, [singing] but I think you're cool. Charlie.
>> [music] >> He has a big motorbike, a Harley.
>> Next we have Eden.
>> [music] >> Eden.
>> [laughter] >> Brilliant.
>> Hayley doesn't like [music] when people call her baby. Chris.
You need a biscuit, Chris. Cody.
We need [music and singing] a big strong Cody.
>> Thank you. That's it then.
>> [laughter]
