Three-Handed with Queens ⚔️

[00:00:00]In the next one, it's kind of funny. We are three-handed. That's right. Six out of the nine players on stream had to take a restroom break. So, we decided to play three-handed for a little bit. And there's an open to 300 from the button.

[00:00:12]His name is Law. Hank folds, and I look down at pocket queens. I make it 1,500 to go. Law thinks it over for a bit and decides to just call with his ace king.

[00:00:21]We go heads up to a flop of king queen six. I continue for a bet of 1,600, right around half pot. And now he raises it up to 4,500. I just call, and we don't get a great turn card. It's the nine of hearts. So, jack 10 now makes a straight. And that is a hand he might occasionally play this way. But when I check it over to him, he decides to check it back. I think it's very obvious at that point he doesn't have jack 10.

[00:00:45]Looking for a clean river card, but that's not what we get. It's the 10 of hearts. So, now any jack makes a straight. And it's a question of whether we want to check it over to him or bet ourselves. And I think both have some merit. If I'm being honest, I'm not 100% certain which is the better play. But my instinct told me that it was to check.

[00:01:05]Law thinks it over for a while and does not check. Instead, he puts in a bet of right around half pot, $6,600.

[00:01:13]Hmm. Kind of a tough spot. You know what, man? If you've got a jack, take the pot. I make the call, and he announces ace king. That means we're going to win this one.
