AaloAtomics is developing a nuclear reactor design that can be mass-manufactured at scale (10,000 units per year) by creating the most powerful reactor that can fit on a truck, achieving 2-5 times more power output than traditional reactors like HGRs, PWRs, or MSRs for the same physical size, which improves economics by maximizing revenue per unit of hardware while avoiding the fuel inefficiency that plagues smaller reactors.

Trying to build 10,000 nuclear plants per year. @AaloAtomicsAñadido:
This guy is trying to build 10,000 nuclear power plants per year and this is how he plans to do it.
>> So we put a lot of thought towards how do we make the ALO reactor as mass manufacturable as possible. If you look at traditional nuclear, the reactors are so big that you have to take down power lines or ship on large barges. And that works well if you're trying to ship one or two reactors a year. But if you're trying to mass manufacture nuclear at scale to the tune of tens of thousands of reactors a year, that just doesn't work. And if you make your reactor too small, then the economics will really suffer. Um, smaller reactors don't use their fuel as efficiently. And so if you look at the pie chart of cost in nuclear, when you have a small reactor, a much bigger part of that pie chart is the fuel cost. So in general, smaller reactors really get hurt economically speaking. For Alo, essentially the design constraint that we gave ourselves was what is the most powerful reactor that you can ship on the back of a truck. And if you compare us to, for example, HGRs or PWRs or MSRS, our reactor can be around two to five times more powerful for the same physical size. And you can imagine what that does to the economics if you're able to make five If you're able to make two or five times more revenue with the same amount of hardware,
