Let us simplify these fractions. So, the method that we are going to use is writing each number in the numerator and in the denominator as a product of some numbers, right? So, this is what we call equivalents, you know, fractions. So, if you look at four, right? We can write four as two multiplied by two, okay? And in the same way, 10 can be written as two multiplied by five.
>> [snorts] >> So, you can say that you have uh two twos in the numerator and one two in the denominator, right? So, the first uh two cancels with the other two in the uh denominator. So, you only uh remain with two divided by five, okay? You can see that two and five do not have common factor. So, this is the simplest form of four over 10, okay?
What about 32 divided by 128, okay? I mean, if you want, you can write, you know, 32 as two multiplied by two by two by two five times, right?
But, that's a lot. I mean, I can just look at what is in the denominator. In the denominator, 128 can be written as 32 multiplied by four. So, I leave 32 in the numerator the way it is, and then I write the denominator as 32 multiplied by four, okay? So, you can see again that 32 and 32 is common in both the numerator and the denominator, then we remain with one over four, okay?
And that is the simplest form. Okay, what about two divided by three multiplied by four divided by six, okay?
In the same way, I can see that, you know, I can write uh the denominator six, which is two multiplied by three, then I multiply the numerator two multiplied by four, I just write the way it is, then I write three multiplied by two multiplied by three, okay?
The two multiplied by three at the end is the six, right? So, you can see that two and two, you know, two is common in both the numerator and the denominator.
In the numerator, I remain with four.
Then, in the denominator, three multiplied by three is just nine. You can see that four and nine do not have a common factor. So, that is the simplest form of that product.
