I think one of the strangest things about being trans is how invested people are in understanding who's supposed to love us. If a trans person dates cis people, people question it. If a trans person dates another trans person, people question it. If someone loves a trans person, people want to categorize and dissect their identity to make it make sense to them.
But transitioning isn't about performing attraction correctly. And honestly, I don't think love, connection, or attraction always needs to make sense to outside people in order for it to be real.
