Polygon POL ex-MATIC Crypto Review: New Name, Same Trash Fire

[00:00:00]You're about to experience an epic roast of the Polygon x Matic token right here with me, Jerry Banfield. I'm on your side. I've reviewed thousands of altcoins and I care about you as an investor and I can't stand watching you all lose money, which is why you can't handle the truth. I will try and make this as funny as I can so it's not miserably boring like most crypto videos. So, first, Polygon, if you remember back when it was Matic, it was hugely hyped. Just an Ethereum layer two scaling solution. We got big partnerships like with Starbucks and it was everywhere and the price was like two plus dollars. This thing has fallen like a rock. The Polygon rebrand from Matic to poll has been an absolute bust.

[00:00:53]Like almost all the partnerships and everything have dried up. The market cap's down. It's still not far enough down. But, everybody who wasn't paying attention on the Matic token and didn't migrate and get their poll has potentially lost their money. The token The supply was capped before. And then they just changed it. And they're like, "Fuck it. We're just going to start taking inflating coins however we feel like." Plus, these days, isn't it a Ethereum scaling solution? Do we give a [ __ ] about that anymore? Let's look at their website. The And the website looks nice enough. Like they actually invested some money in this website, but it's [ __ ] 2.4 trillion-dollar transfer volume. What did you do? SEND THAT [ __ ] BACK and forth to yourself? You took a dollar. Or maybe not cuz there's hardly any transactions. Look at the explorer.

[00:01:42]Polygon POS chain, you know what it stands for? Oh, it's too easy. Piece of [ __ ] chain. This is utterly [ __ ] useless. Look at There's often Look at these the transactions. You have these blocks. You're lucky to have, you know, a hand a few hundred if that transactions a second. ICP is doing like 40 plus 50 plus times as many transactions. It does way more computation. The Ethereum scaling is vastly superior on ICP. This [ __ ] sucks by comparison and there's a whole bunch of other chains that do the same basic [ __ ] that Polygon does at this point. Base, Arbitrum, just gobbling up market share from this dying coin that I don't see why anybody wants to support it. But you look at their Look at their website. You're like, "Oh, trusted by Google." I mean, who at Google trusts this? Some Gmail user? Just has A [ __ ] METAMASK WALLET? AND you're like, "Well, Google trusts this now?" I mean, I'm sure they paid somebody off or something like that. It's not financial advice. I'm just talk This is entertainment because I can't stand to take these seriously. It's not a serious investment. I mean, look at it makes it like, "Oh, we're we're some payments infrastructure. We've been around the block, YEAH, LIKE A [ __ ] WHORE."

Poll, pal, what I mean powers polygon is it native gas and STAKING TOKEN. WHAT ELSE can can you do with this? Why would I want to stake a token where the off chain I can even see any real utility for this. But it's talking the same [ __ ] that everybody else is payments, stable coins. Will you jerk ME OFF TOO? CUZ THEN MAYBE YOU DO SOMETHING USEFUL. But I don't see anything useful here. It's the same basic [ __ ] that everything else is doing. And you look at the polygon scan there's not that many transactions. Then there's X account. [ __ ] me. Like this is so bad. 2 million followers. Tell me you bought it without telling me you bought it. I mean they all do the same [ __ ] Like it's not anything they did that like most all the other ones. 2 million followers. My posts on X WITH A BRAND NEW [ __ ] ACCOUNT GET the same reach. I mean look at this [ __ ] Every year 48 billion in loyalty rewards go unredeemed.
