The cost of living in America has become unaffordable for many citizens, with rent, electricity, and essential expenses rising far beyond what average workers can afford, creating a situation where even working two jobs is insufficient to maintain a basic standard of living.

Americans Are PISSED At Cost Of LivingAñadido:
I was really stressing. I have a doctor's appointment next week. America has become completely unaffordable and I don't know why more people are not talking about this. It's not a depression for the rich people. They're doing fantastic.
>> $814 for 1 month of electric? My current rent is $4,200 a month. So, if they raise it to more than 4,300 a month, I'm 100% out of here. And I can't even afford that after two jobs. Do do do do do do do do Breaking news, we're in a depression right now.
But, nobody's talking about it cuz the wealthy are still handing money back and forth, holding the stock markets up.
But, these folks that are sharing these videos, a lot of them are just breaking out in in tears. And these videos, they're growing. There's more and more of them all the time. People can't keep up, and people are pissed.
>> America has become completely unaffordable and I don't know why more people are not talking about this. Half of America doesn't even have a savings.
Rent is insane. Healthcare is a luxury.
And somehow the narrative is still people are just bad with money. What money? People are working full-time.
Most people have two to three jobs anymore because you have to. At what point do we stop blaming the people and just accept the fact that the cost of living has simply just outpaced reality.
Did you know right now is the angriest Americans have ever been about the cost of living? This is a survey from the University of Michigan that has been going on since the 1940s, and it is the lowest it has ever been in the entire time that they have been doing the survey. They're going to keep telling you there's no recession. Oh, don't look. There's jobs. Trust me. Trust me.
Just I swear, bro. There's jobs out there. You are not alone in being pissed off. This is the most angry Americans have ever been about how much things cost. How crazy is that? Through 2008, through war after war, this is the most angry Americans have ever been about the cost of living. We're in a depression right now, but the only reason why it's not called that is because the wealthy people are wealthier than they've ever been. It's not a depression for the rich people. They're doing fantastic. During the Great Depression, the average cost of a home was about $4,900, which today is about 90,000. That was about three times the average person's wages. 2026, today the average cost is about $410,000, which is about eight times the average person's wages. This is not accidental, and this is not just inflation. It is deliberate overpricing by wealthy people to put more profit into their pockets.
And this is working really well for them. Back in 1985, there were about nine billionaires in the US, and now we have over a thousand. And we're even on track to get our first trillionaire. Can you even imagine? Can you even fathom how much money that is? Thing is, you can't. So, let's put it this way. If you counted one number every single second, it would take you 31 years to count to a billion. To count to a trillion, it would take you 31,000 years. Meanwhile, the average American makes $66,000 a year. One in four Americans are living paycheck to paycheck, and it costs about 159K a year to live comfortably. Believe you me, we are in a depression. It's just not called that because we don't control the narrative. What happens if we're basically living in an insolvent country where we only have like 6 trillion in assets, but we owe 41 trillion or something like that? Just absolutely We owe way more than we have in assets.
So, we're basically insolvent. That means nothing's going to get better.
It's only going to get worse.
What the heck is going on? And I don't I don't know. During the 1980s or 90s, we had like what?
Eight billionaires, and now we have over a thousand? The gap between rich and poor just keeps growing and growing and growing and nothing is ever lifted.
Every day you're going to work, you're working for less money.
>> [snorts] >> Because the checks might be the same, okay? You might get $800 $2,000 a week, right? But the buying power with that money that you've been earning is you're able to buy less. The buying power is going down. So, every day you go to work, you're working for less.
It's supposed to be the other way around.
That's the way it used to be with pensions and uh great 401K's and retirement plans and moving on up in the company and you could be in one company for your whole life until you got to retire around 62, something like that. But uh the way things are going, if we're if if we even have an economy here soon, which I doubt we will, uh people are going to be retiring at 99.
>> [laughter] >> They're going to have oxygen tanks right next to them breathing and still working and they'll still be homeless on top of it. They'll own nothing and and be so happy.
>> [sighs] [laughter] >> This system is a joke.
>> I live in Detroit, Michigan and by the end of the month, I literally need $4,000 and I can't even afford that after two jobs. My rent in itself is $1,700 for the month. My electric bill is $300.
Groceries for the month cost over $600.
And now that I'm thinking about it, I literally didn't even factor in that gas costs $5 per gallon right now.
I have to pay my phone bill. I have to pay the Wi-Fi bill. I have to pay for car insurance. I have to pay for my medical insurance. I literally rent a one-bedroom apartment in Detroit.
Why can't I afford to live off of two jobs?
But yeah, Detroit is cheap, right? I think that we all collectively should just stop paying our electric bill.
I don't even have time to get cute to talk about this video because this is getting out of hand. There has to be something that we collectively can do because this is ridiculous.
$814 for 1 month of electric?
And you?
Previous, 933. Balance was zero. This is a full month bill. I didn't carry a balance. Kept my thermostat down to like 68, 69. Now, let's go to the charges.
Energy cost, $519.
Distribution charge, $264.63.
Bill stabilization adjustment, 2865.
Empower Maryland charge, 6846.
Facilities charge, 975. $814.18.
This is ridiculous. How do they expect people to be able to keep their lights on when the bill is half of my mortgage?
Last year I used 4,897 kW. This year I used 3,761.
So, please tell me why my bill is twice as much than it was last year when I've used less. Before your payment, we received $400 on February 5th and $533.05 on February 20th for a total of $933.05.
So, I just got home and this note was taped to my door and I'm kind of scared to open it because it says rent notice, which probably means my rent is about to increase. And not to sound dramatic, but the inside of this note is about to determine the fate of my future because if they keep my rent the same, I would highly consider staying in West Palm Beach for another year. But if they raise it by over $100, I'm 100% moving to either Miami or New York. My current rent is $4,200 a month. So, if they raise it to more than 4,300 a month, I'm 100% out of here. But let's see.
Congratulations on your upcoming anniversary with us and thank you for being a valued resident in our community. As a valued resident, we'd like to show our appreciation by offering you an early renewal discount.
If I'm so valued, why the would you raise my rent? My current rent is $4190.
If I renew with the early special, they are raising it to $4602.
And if I don't sign within the month, they're raising it to $4732 a month. Bro, that is crazy. I was thinking maybe two to $300. That that would typically be in line with inflation, right? 3 to 4%. $4600 from $4200 is a 10% increase. Okay, so my landlord wants to play games, we're going to play a little game called move out. The apartment hunt is back on in full swing.
>> Folks, please share this video. Please do it. Please share this video and places where people will enjoy this video and get a lot of eyes on it, okay?
All righty then.
Give this video a thumbs up. Please don't conveniently forget to do that.
Just reach your hand on up there and oh, it's free to do. It's satisfying. You might have to put a Band-Aid on your finger after you do it. You might have to put ice on your arms because I know it's physically taxing to hit the thumbs up button. But please do so. It's free to do. Subscribe if you're not subscribed. I'm not notifying subscribers yet of the new videos that are coming out. Hit that bell notification though, but I will.
I'm trying to get some new demographics.
I'm trying to get these videos in front of the right audiences before I put even more work into them.
All right. So, things are just going to get better, huh?
Look forward to that.
All right. All glory to God above as always. God is good. God is great. God is so awesome.
And I will see you in the next video.
Woo!
