Autonomous vehicles currently make millions of safety-critical decisions with outdated sensor data and maps, lacking real-time shared understanding of the transportation system; Prism addresses this by creating a shared intelligence layer that fuses data from sensors, connected vehicles, and cellular networks into a real-time digital twin, enabling predictive AI to provide hazard alerts, trip completion confidence, and corridor risk scores while reducing AV processing load by 85% and bandwidth demand by 90%, thus transforming transportation intelligence from isolated vehicle operations to a collaborative, shared public infrastructure model.

Every year autonomous vehicles makes millions of safety critical decisions, but they're doing it nearly blind. Not blind to what's in front of them, but what's happening around the corner or unfolding couple of blocks away.
Today's systems rely on sensors and maps that had best are days old. There is no shared real-time understanding of the transportation system. This isn't a data problem. It's a broken model, one that forces every vehicle and every operator face the road alone.
My name is Mina Sartipi and I'm the founding director of the Center for Urban Informatics and Progress at University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
And we believe it's time to rethink transportation intelligence.
Prism is a shared intelligence layer of the entire mobility ecosystem. Not a smarter map, not another sensor, a living predictive context that gives every vehicle and every operator the same real-time picture of the road and what's about to happen next. Prism fuses data from sensors, connected vehicles, and cellular networks into a real-time digital twin.
A predictive AI layer turns this shared view into actionable intelligence.
Hazard alerts, trip completion confidence, corridor risk exposure. It's 10 times faster than cloud-based alternatives. [music] AV processing load drops by 85%. Bandwidth demand drops by 90% and it works with today's system, no redesign required. But the real ambition is bigger. Prism lays the foundation for the next generation of AI-powered transportation, where infrastructure doesn't just sense the road, it understands it.
>> [music] >> And where every vehicle, from personal cars to autonomous freight, operates within a shared intelligence context, making the entire system safer, smarter, and more resilient.
Our 24-month program advances Prism from TRL 4 to TRL 6 and 7 validated on Chattanooga's MLK Smart Corridor, one of the most instrumented urban test beds in the nation. Prism transition to market as platform as a service through UTC spin-off.
Because it runs on existing solar infrastructure, it can scale rapidly across corridors nationwide.
With national organizations, OEMs, and public partners already engaged, Prism is positioned for real-world deployment from day one.
Prism reimagines transportation intelligence as shared public infrastructure. Just as cities share roads, they will share real-time context. This isn't incremental, it's a new foundation for the next generation of transportation. We are ready to build it. Let's make every mile safer together.
