The Pokemon TCG market has experienced significant changes including vendor restrictions at player events, new grading guard systems, and record-breaking card sales like the Bubble Mew, while the Yu-Gi-Oh market remains relatively undervalued compared to Pokemon, presenting different investment opportunities for collectors.

What is up y'all? I hope you guys are having a fantastic week. I know it's been about a week since I made a video or did any streams and I don't really have anything to say to that other than I've been spending a lot of time with my family and I have zero regrets. Just enjoying the summer, enjoying the pool being open in our neighborhood. Um, and yeah, taking a break kind of from buying as much crazy stuff. Uh, more or less cuz my wallet can't handle it. But we've got a lot of stuff to go over today. We have a lot of stuff that's been going on in the hobby. So, I'm going to go ahead and cover that. And then we're going to go into some recent pickups we had.
Also, I had a bunch of new guards that came in from that same Alibaba. Well, not the same supplier, but same source.
Basically, Alibaba was another supplier.
These came in. They took a little bit longer than the other ones did, but a lot of awesome colors. We're not I already spent countless nights staying up really really late um finding the different guards and the different color combos and and mixing and matching. I spent so many too many hours up late at night um matching to different slabs. So now my grails have the new graded guards on them, the off-brand graded guards. My um Sword and Shield era and Sun and Moon era slabs have the these new these new off-brand guards. And then my Scarlet and Violet. I finally got around the Scarlet and Violet slabs and I'm finally getting those um put in. I got to start collecting stuff from this mega era. I feel like I haven't even touched mega era uh just because I've been focusing so heavily on vintage. But anyways, um okay, so some crazy things that have happened in the hobby. So, the Pokemon Company has banned uh these large Pokemon events that are really geared towards players um from uh vendors being able to sell uh high-end slabs. I think it's like slabs over $1,000. Don't quote me on this, but either way, I think it's a step in the right direction.
Basically, the hobby is changing for the best in the sense that these events that are for players um are just going to be around the players. It's really not going to be as much about selling and the the money and the cash grab. Uh but it's not going to change much for vendors, right? This isn't going to be like a stab at vendors. Uh there there's so many local shows. I can't even believe how many local shows there are.
I thought there'd be like once a month here in Charlotte, but there's like three going on a month here in Charlotte. I can't even make half of these shows. Uh but anyways, a lot of shows going on. I don't think it's going to really impact vendors. uh vendors are still winning in the grand scheme of things. Uh but yeah, these major player events um and I guess regionals and championships will probably also not allow vendors to sell high-end slabs. So that was one thing. Let's get that out of the way. It targets some Target employees and I think this is a fantastic development.
a little bit unfortunate uh for people that do just want to collect, you know, the different miscellaneous products and ETBs at at Targets and so forth, but apparently there was a video that went around that went kind of viral of a Target employee who was cutting open product. Uh what do you guys think about that? This was a way to deter scalpers, right? Because if there's one thing scalpers hate, it is a torn ETB. And I know that sounds ridiculous, like why would that stop them? They just break it down for the packs. And that is honestly true, but I personally have experienced trying to sell booster boxes that had a tiny little pinhole or a small tear in them and no one wants them. People do not want that stuff when they're paying top market. They want to get a perfectly sealed box. So, that is a method that probably will deter a lot of people. Um, and then most of the people that want to open the product won't care. So, it's kind of fine for them. But people like me that would buy the product in the store but not necessarily open it but also not necessarily scalp it. I would want it in my personal collection, that would suck to buy a product that had a big cut through it. But anyways, I think it's probably a step in the right direction that some of these employees are just taking matters in their own hands. I didn't actually look and see if this was a policy that Target was gearing towards. Uh, but I thought that was interesting and wanted to know what you guys thought about it. Now, one of the biggest things that has happened in the hobby is a record-breaking sale that has got people just arguing all over the internet right now about the Bubble Mew.
Or maybe not arguing, but really just in unison saying, "What the happened here?"
There was a Bubble Mew, one of the most iconic cards in the Pokemon TCG.
Arguably, it's actually crazy how iconic this card is. It's just another modern card that came out in Palian Fates. It's a beautiful Mew. Don't get me wrong. It is the shiny version of the Mew. It has the blue tint versus the pink tint, right? Or or sprite, I guess we'll call it. Um, but basically, this is a 2 $3,000 card. I don't even know what it's going for now. It's probably skyrocketed in price considering the fact that this card just fetched a absolute record groundbreaking number. But so there's the there's Becket grading and then there's the top highest tier of Becket grading which is the black label, right?
The the black label is the best possible grade. It's the highest priced card you can probably get um in the TCG space, right? For any card, a black label is as good as it gets or that's what most collectors that collect collect graded and slabs. That's what most of us deem the tippy top. Um, and that's why a lot of people crack PSA 9 and send them to BGS so that they can potentially get a 9.5. It is a way to really maximize value. But this is the story of the ultimate max value. Ryan's Cardhouse. I don't know how this guy is getting so many uh not only uh so I don't know if he was involved with getting the black label. I think he's just involved getting the NBA stickers. this there's and this is really just the the meat of the video. What is going on with the NBA stickers? Do we actually care about the premium that is attached to having a tiny sticker slapped on the slab? Right.
So NBA is basically like a branch of more uh more grading I in a way. Uh it's another it's another it's another scheme. It's another fazle. It's whatever you want to call it. It doesn't, in my opinion, really add a whole lot of value to the cards. Um, and it is a funny story. I have a first edition Shining Raichu and I bought it and I just bought it because it was really it was a newer shirt. It was really, really clean. The photos looked really good, but it's an NBA gold right now. I thought that was pretty cool at the time, but then when I got the card in the mail, I was like, "This doesn't really look good with the sticker. I should just take the sticker off." And I ended up keeping the sticker on there. A lot of friends and people in the community advised me to just leave the sticker on there, but I almost just peeled the sticker off. That's how much I don't really care about those stickers. They basically say, "Hey, this is one of the most premium copies you can have." And I still have I kept it right here for reference. I still have the the paperwork, the little sheet that came with my first edition Shining Raichu, the NBA gold diamond. And so it had the same little sticker on there.
That's all it is is just a little sticker and then you get this little piece of paperwork.
Okay. So, back to Ryan's Card House and Bubble M. So, Ryan's Cardhouse has been going to Mike Baker's uh wherever he is, his his location and his business and basically getting these stickers on these high-end uh super super high-end black label cards. And so the bubble mu is a very iconic scarlet violet palian fates um sir but and it's you know a couple grand in a black label we're talking 50 h 100red maybe upwards past $100,000.
I I really don't understand it. I don't understand how a card could be a modern card even in a black label could be worth that much money. I think this is kind of a farce. It's kind of ridiculous. Um, but I just wanted to give you guys my my my take on it. Um, I do think it's ridiculous. I don't think that price is warranted and it looks like some manipulation and some finagling is going on. Um, so here's what happened. The first one I think sold for um over $200,000. Maybe it was a quarter million. Um, then there was another auction, another black label bubble mew with an NBA black diamond sticker. Right. This is the best of the best you can get from NBA. There's different tiers of NBA. You can get different different stickers. There's a silver, there's a gold, there's a black diamond. I don't know how many there are. I don't really care. Um, but what I will tell you is the next auction ended up going for 180,000. a lot less than the first auction which went well over 200,000. I'm pretty sure. Don't quote me on this. I'm going off the rip. I'm shooting from the hip like I usually do.
Um I'm pretty sure it went for a quarter million. So 180,000 is a massive massive change in price, right? It doesn't really make sense. Um and then it was cancelled. Very very weird. Very weird.
It was cancelled. It was not paid for.
They got a killer deal, but it was not paid for. Okay, so Ryan Cardhouse went on the internet and everyone's trolling him and he's kind of defending himself uh in people's DMs and in the comments and um it's not a good look. He's not looking good right now. He's looking like a villain right now. Um but anyways, you know, he you know, I don't know. I don't know. Ryan, he's probably a great guy. He's honestly probably a great guy. um he's getting a really bad rep for this uh this um this black label BGS Bubble Mew. Um but anyways, he's uh he's chasing his bag. The problem here is that when he went to uh when the card got cancelled, he apparently got an offer and the same guy that bought the first one, the first black label, first ever really incredible bubble, bought the second one after it was cancelled on at 180. So, this kind of looks like one, there might be some show bidding going on in the auctions, but it still didn't get to the price that they quite wanted. Um, and that's happening a lot. I think a lot of like OG heads and vintage collectors um are seeing that there's prices that just don't make sense, right? Um there is an Expedition Gengar right now on eBay, PSA 9. This is a perfect example. Um, I'm not happy with my copy, so I wanted to get this copy. Well, it's in auction.
It's basically at $4,000. Well, when I lowered my listing to $4,000, no one even sent me a message on it.
Nothing. So, I raised it back to the original price, which was $6,000. Yeah, I'm just going to wait till the market goes up. But the point is, I lowered mine just out of curiosity. Like, okay, people are really willing to bid $4,000 almost on the expedition Gengar. Well, I have the same one and it's listed at 4,000 and I haven't gotten a single message or anything. What that tells me is that they're show bidding just across the board, right? And I think no doubt it happened with such an expensive card, such a luxurious card, right? You know, I'm looking at stuff that's a couple grand, right? Uh Expedition Gengar is like, you know, it's went up to four grand. This is a$1red $200,000 card. So, you bet your ass there is some shield bidding going on. There's some manipulation going on. Um anyways, I have a really hard time believing that that was a good purchase uh the first time and the second time. Um, but yeah, that is the biggest news I think in Pokemon right now is the uh the black label Bubble Mew.
It's just ridiculous. Um, and it's just the whole deal with the NBA stickers is kind of getting out of hand. Um, but you know, I I I understand the value in it. Mike Baker, the first like PSA grader, one of the first graders, right?
Um, Mike Baker authenticated certification highlights the best technical merits in the card in the grade assigned by the grading company. At no time does the certification apply the current state is misrepresented.
Our 30 plus years in ex and technical grading ensures integrity of our high-end examples where superior Mark Mike Baker authenticated where superior quality counts.
Now, Mike Baker is just taking advantage of the fact that he was in the grading field for such a long time. He's like, "How can I make money off of this?" So, this is his way of making money on this.
Now, to be fair, this is someone who is taking high-end stuff for the most part, right? Somebody who's getting, you know, Mike Baker authenticated stuff. they're they're gonna want to go and they're gonna want to have this done to higherend stuff, right? I don't think this is going to happen with a lot of cheaper cards. Um, that being said, I see the value in it, right? Someone that has done a lot of grading, um, for them to say that this card is like the nicest copy they've ever seen, that means something. But I mean, the sticker on the black label, what is already considered the best in the hobby, very bizarre. How do why would there be a need to revalidate a card that already has the highest grading, you know, uh, standard cuz it's a black label. It's very weird.
The whole situation is weird. This hobby is getting weird. A lot of people are just burnt out. Um myself included a little bit. Um I had a guy reach out to me um that was just like, "Yeah, I'm thinking of just selling everything."
And I was like, "Whoa, why why why would you want to get rid of so much good stuff?" And they're just they're just tired. They're just tired of of of dealing with people in the hobby and vendors and um it's just it's damn near impossible to get a deal on anything. It's damn near impossible to get stuff for market price. Everybody wants way above market price. And so we kind of follow that standard and that norm. And and the hobby is kind of just getting out of hand because of that. I I'm guilty of it, too. I overpric stuff all the time.
Uh but my point is you kind of have to to keep things sustainable to continue collecting at the same pace. You know, for me to buy the cards that I really want to buy, I have to upsell the cards that I'm selling. Anyways, um that being said, yeah, let me know what you guys think about the bubble mu. And then real short, uh because I do not want to keep this a long video, um I'm going to go over some pickups that I had. one TCG that is not as ridiculous and crazy as Pokemon and there are deals and deals and deals and um some of my good friends in the Discord are taking full advantage of this is the Yu-Gi-Oh market. The Yu-Gi-Oh market just has some crazy good deals and highly recommend if you've never looked into Yu-Gi-Oh to check it out. It's honestly some of the best artwork in in the whole TCG sphere. And I for the most part, I prefer Yu-Gi-Oh to Pokemon. I always have. Uh but one thing that was sure in the past and less sure now, uh well, no, it's still sure now. Yu-Gi-Oh does not have um as much of a foundation as Pokemon. That is for sure. But I believe that Yu-Gi-Oh is far far undervalued in comparison to Pokemon right now. Pokemon is disgustingly, disturbingly overvalued. A lot of stuff is. And I'm still going to keep collecting Pokemon. Um, I got into Pokemon initially because when I got back into, you know, collecting and kind of reliving my childhood, I found all my Yu-Gi-Oh stuff. Uh, but I never found my Pokemon stuff. So, I went down a Pokemon rabbit hole. I wish I would have done a more even split of collecting. I wish I would have collected, you know, 50/50 Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh. I would have accomplished probably a lot more. Um, but I'm getting back into Yu-Gi-Oh now.
The problem is now Yu-Gi-Oh is kind of skyrocketing. Um, it's definitely getting a little bubbly, but it's still undervalued. It's still a better value than a lot of Pokemon stuff right now.
So, anyways, um, I've always liked uh Yu-Gi-Oh more, but Pokemon had a stronger market. So, for value retention and for ROI, right, if you care about those things, um, I never full-on, there were times that I looked at Pokemon as an investment. Um, someone is a business, but for the most part, I've always been a degenerate collector. That is the reality of what I do here. I'm really just collecting and sometimes impulsively, sometimes rationally, sometimes, um, I just go with, you know, my gut feeling on a card. Um, but Pokemon now is getting to a point where, you know, I feel like we're at the tippy tippy top and it'll probably keep rising, but I'm just that's just how I feel. And I've been cynical about Pokemon probably for the last year thinking that something was something had to change. Uh, and we had to have some kind of collapse, market crash, but it still kind of hasn't really happened.
We're having a retrace on a lot of big cards, but still hasn't really happened.
Yu-Gi-Oh though um Yu-Gi-Oh did not have the kind of uh potential ROI. It didn't have really the strong market. No one really wanted Yu-Gi-Oh. So, it would have been very difficult to buy, sell, and make it sustainable the way I did with Pokemon. But now that Yu-Gi-Oh is kind of picking up steam, it's not that, oh, there's money flowing into Yu-Gi-Oh now. U you know, now it's cool. No, Yu-Gi-Oh makes sense now. Not only is there money flowing into Yu-Gi-Oh, but Yu-Gi-Oh is now more sustainable and showing growth consistently. It's no longer like a bunch of stuff is just flatlined. I like the idea of collecting a TCG that has growth and has potential.
And Yu-Gi-Oh now has that. So, it's arguably one of the best times to jump into Yu-Gi-Oh. Um because yes, you are paying a lot more than these cards were going for just a couple months ago or a year ago, but at least you're getting a lot of potential growth um um roped in.
Uh any anyways, um let's go. Let's talk about some stuff that I got in uh recently. All right, so first things first, we got an epic card. Really, I should have saved this for a video in itself, but we got another big expedition card. So, we got the Pichu from Expedition. We got the Blastoise from Expedition. We got the Gengar from Expedition. Um, I haven't really focused on Expedition. It's not one of my more favorite sets, but it's really, really growing on me, and this is one of my favorite cards in Expedition.
The Dragonite. The Dragonite is one of my favorite cards in Expedition. Um, I just think it's such a vibrant, beautiful card. And we got this off-brand gray guard that came in with the blue and yellow and orange. And it pretty much goes perfectly, pairs perfectly um with this Dragonite. It looks really, really good. I'm really happy with this slab. Um and I see another Dragonite on the market for the very close to what I paid on this one.
And I'm very tempted to pick it up. Uh because I think this card is a little undervalued. Um I just like the card. I don't really care what it what what it's if it's undervalued or overvalued. But um I will say I do think it's undervalued. Uh, the Expedition Dragonite in a PSA 10 is like a $50,000 card, $40,000, even if it was a $30,000 card. I still don't understand how the nine is only a couple of grand. Um, anyways, that being said, this was such an easy pickup for me. Beautiful card.
One more time, look close up at it.
She's gorgeous. Anyways, we got the Expedition Dragonite. Yay. We had a lot of stuff to work through. We also got the fossil Dragonite a while back, but they both have these same matching guards and they both look beautiful together. So, we are finally working on our Dragonite collection. Okay, moving forward. Um, okay. I was at a local trade night. I haven't really gone to a a lot of local trade nights in my area, but I got off work early and I decided to stop in after work. Um, everyone was kind of just like ripping off parents and kids. I'm not even going to lie. Um, but there were a couple of cards that were stickered very close to market. Um, and I thought, you know what? This is worth maybe trying to haggle on. So, I picked up this Meganium uh EX. I always call it a meium EX, but I know it's Meganium EX, or at least I think that's how you pronounce it. Anyways, uh, Meganium EX. It is a stunning copy. This darker holo kind of takes away a little bit uh the background takes away a little bit of showing off that holo pop.
But one thing I love about all these EXs is this hollow border. This was the only EX that was there that night uh that was graded in a nine. Um so I really didn't have a whole lot of options on the trade night. There just wasn't a whole lot of stuff I could pick up. But I did pick this up. It's a really clean copy. I'm very happy with it. I paid um I paid four or no 500. I think I paid 500 flat for the Meganium EX. Um I think at the time the market was like 550. So 540 something like that. So I was happy with it. I got to pick it up and just take it home. I didn't have to wait on the vault and shipping and all that good stuff, which I have so many cards that still haven't gotten here yet because they've been stuck at the PSA vault, which I'm not going to talk about this too long, but holy crap, the PSA vault is just lagging right now. PSA's whole backlog, this whole thing with their grading price going up, uh, which, you know, my last video a week ago was talking about how they've halted the bulk grading and they've spiked their prices up. Um, and it's it's just a mess right now, but I think it's probably for the best. But I think it's affecting other areas of their operations. I think the amount of backlog um and that they're dealing with with grading is actually affecting their vault and their withdrawal services because I had a card that got to um I have so many cards that haven't been shipped yet um that I've paid for and already withdrawn from the vault and I have no idea where they are. I haven't gotten tracking on them. This is what you have to do if you don't want to pay sales tax on the cards and you want to vault them and then withdraw from the PSA vault. You have to deal with the stress and the anxiety and the uncertainty that comes with waiting on PSA to ship this stuff out and get it to us in a timely manner. Now, I won't lie, I've never had an issue with the vault.
We had a little bit of an issue with this Expedition Dragonite. I bought and paid for this like a month and a half ago and it only came in um a couple days ago. So, and it was after it was literally it it shipped one day after I made a support request on PSA's website.
So, if you feel like stuff is not getting you and it's been way, way, way overdue, and what do I mean by way overdue? I think a card that's been in the vault that's been withdrawn from the vault for a month, I think that's way overdue. They need to ship that [ __ ] card out. Okay? And it it's angering because you know you know I I have a good income. I make a good living, right? Um I um I got off the phone with my CPA not long ago. I owed so much money this year, but you know, she's like, you know, you might look at it as a bad thing. you owe all this money, but you you Orion, you are earning more than like anybody in your age group that I'm a CPA for. Like, you are crushing it.
Anyways, that being said, I'm not in a position where I'll I'll whine if I have to wait a little bit longer for these cards. Um, but I do think the average person, if they spent $3,500 on this card like I did, they want to get it and they don't want to get it in a month and a half, right? Um, it's just with how expensive these cards are getting. PSA should have a different way they operate the vault for cards that are $1,000 or more. It should it should be very expeditious, right? I don't know if that's word, but they should expedite everything they're doing for cards that are that expensive that you're vaulting, that you're choosing their service. Um, anyways, very frustrating. Um, so if you guys have cards stuck in the vault, just be patient. You're most likely going to get all of them. It's just taking the vault forever right now. It's taking PSA forever right now. I don't know if I talked about this card or not. I have no idea if I talked about it or not. Um, so we're going to go ahead and talk about it. And then I'm I got a question to ask you guys. Um, got a bunch of these other guards that came in. Uh, this one's did not have as nice packaging. Uh, but basically the same same packaging. $3 a guard. Look at that color combo. Um, anyways, I don't know if I already talked about this one, so forgive me if I did. Um, but anyways, guys, I this came in. I'm not sure if I already talked about it, but we finally got the Venusaur EX. I feel like I didn't talk about it because I just put this guard on it. So, I don't know. I could be wrong. Um, anyways, we put this guard on the Venusaur EX and now we have all three of the big uh starter EX trios.
So again, sorry if I already talked about the Venusaur, but I think they look really good. This one's in this new guard that came in, the green and clear, even though I feel like this one is a better look. This bluish greenish tint matches with Venusaur a little bit better. And then the pink on the flower.
So I might have to swap that out and do that type of color combo. But then we went with red for the Charizard.
And then we went with the blue and black uh for the Blastoise EX. Anyways, if I already talked about those, I'm sorry, but talked about them again. Okay, so some Yu-Gi-Oh pickups that came in. All right, so we had a this PSA 10 XYZ Dragon Cannon. Um these uh this is a booster pack 10 promo. It is a population of like 30 something or 40ome out of 300 total plus graded. Uh, it's an absolutely stunning card. This card costs way, way, way more in first edition PSA 10. So, we went ahead and got the booster pack 10 promo. These are not only low population, but a lot of them are still stupid undervalued for how low population they are. Um, and Yu-Gi-Oh came to states in 2002. Well, these tins are 2003. So, really, this is still as OG as it gets in Yu-Gi-Oh. It's just an absolutely stunning card. It looks so good. So, we got another one of those, another BPT that came in. Um, I also picked up this Yatagarasu Legacy of Darkness first edition. This card is like 2500, 2K, and a 10. Um, I picked it up for $300 and a PSA 9 first edition.
This is just an iconic card. It's never really been on my hit list, but I've always known about it. Um, and I just thought I saw it one day up for auction.
I just thought, you know what? I'm gonna go ahead and scoop the Yatagarasu. It's a pretty sick looking purple crow. And it is part of the um the spirits. Down here it says spirits spirit. Um there were a lot of uh spirit cards in Legacy of Darkness, and this is one of the like top tier ones that you can get. Um, another card that came in is an Xbox promo, the 2004 Dawn of Destiny Xbox promo. And we were doing this deal over uh over eBay and the guy realized that he was in Charlotte and we just we canled the order and he came and dropped it off. So, here it is. I put this uh yellow black guard. I think I'm going to end up switching this card or maybe it's more of like a it's more of like an orang-ish little bit. Um, but I think it matches with the card really really well. Um, I have the Game Boy Advance promo coming in in a PSA 10. So, I'm probably going to put this guard on that when this comes in. And I have another Dawn of Destiny promo coming in. I thought these were super undervalued.
Um, the Game Boy Advance promos uh go for like three, four, $500 on a PSA 9.
And this Dawn of Destiny promo I paid 150 bucks cash for. So, I feel like they're a little bit undervalued. Uh, even though it's a PSA 9, the PSA 10 is like a thousand dollars. So, I feel like the nines are a little bit undervalued.
Uh, but anyways, I grabbed this nine because it's just it's a beautiful card.
Look at that shimmer. And I just think some of this artwork from Yu-Gi-Oh is just the best artwork ever in a TCG. I just love these. But also, I'm also super nostalgic, so it's probably just my nostalgia speaking. Um, now I bought this in a PSA 10 that's on the way, but I love this card so much. This is not for sale. Uh, none of these are for sale. I thought originally I was going to pick them up and they would become inventory and then they came in and I fell in love with them. Uh, but anyways, this is the amulet dragon. This is the last set that had the first edition stamp uh up in this corner. After this set, the first edition stamps went down here or over here. Um, but anyways, uh this is the amulet dragon or otherwise known as tamias tmus. Um, anyways, you can see Dark Magician in the background behind uh, Tamias Tamus. Um, I looked up some of the lore behind this dragon trying to understand like why he's in front of Dark Magician. Um, but basically um, this dragon was used um, when they were battling the Oricalos villains. I I oralos villains. I I can't remember exactly.
Um, but anyways, um, I have not watched Yu-Gi-Oh in a very long time. Um, anyways, this is Dragons of Legend and I would say that this is probably my favorite like modern set there is um, outside of Ghosts of the Past or Ghosts from the Past. Um, Ghost from the Past is a reprint set in Yu-Gi-Oh and they are really hard to grade in a PSA 10.
So, the original ghost of the past, there's ghosts of the past two and there's ghosts from the past one. Um, and it's the first ghost of the from the past that you want to get. Um, but anyways, they're really really hard to grade. Um, that is one of the best uh modern sets, but I would say Dragons of Legend is like my new favorite modern Yu-Gi-Oh set, and it just looks absolutely stunning. This card looks so freaking sick that I don't even want to sell it in a PSA 9. I'm going to I'm going to PC this PSA 9 just cuz it's a newert and it's really really clean. But yeah, we have a PSA 10 on the way and it's extremely low pop. It's like pop 20 of Pop 57. The I don't know what the deal is. Maybe Dragons of Legend was like short printed or something, but it's Look at this card. You guys know how much I love like Rayquaza and Charizard. I just I'm a dragons guy.
Sliper the sky dragon. Like those are like some of my favorite dragon cards in all of the TCGs. And now this Amulet Dragon or Tomus uh is right up there with it. It's just this teal color just looks so freaking insane. Such a beautiful dragon card. Anyways, really really excited to add that. And there's some variants. There's a there's a dragon knight card or there's a dark magician knight dragon knight card. Um, there's also a um there's a dark magician girl knight card where she's where Tamus' face is halfway in the in the card. Anyways, I'm I'm going to try and get all of these cards that are in uh Dragons of Legend. So, you guys will see more of those. But, yeah, this is like one of my favorite pickups lately. And this card only cost me like 75 bucks, 80 bucks. It didn't cost me like anything. It's absolutely stunning, though. makes me so happy.
Anyways guys, that's all I got for you.
I'm sure I missed some stuff. Oh, we tried some of the new guards that came in on some other stuff. This is some Scarlet Violet stuff. So, we did the Charizard and this kind of purple to pink uh gradient guard. I think it pretty much looks perfect on Charizard.
Um we did the Venusaur uh and the same guard that I'm about to put on the other Venusaur EX. I think it looks pretty fitting. Uh, we got the Blastoise, which I think probably would look better in a blue and black guard, but we wanted to try the clear out. The clear looks pretty good. Um, this one I had no idea what it was going to work on. Like, what do you do with a guard like this, but I found the perfect card, guys. Boom. The Pikachu ETB promo. It literally looks perfect on this card with Spriotito and Quaxley and Fukcoo. It looks really good. Um, and this Greninja I thought looked sick with the black and blue guard.
Can't believe I had three of these at one point uh in a tin. Anyways guys, that is all I've got for you. I appreciate you guys watching the video.
I know it's been a while since we made one. I'm going to try and get back on track with that, but I've just been just enjoying life, man. Not everything is about uh this hobby and collecting and making videos is a grind, but it's also something that I'm passionate about and I have fun with, but I've been having a lot more fun going to the pool, hanging out with my kids, and just enjoying that downtime really. Um cuz you know, I do a video like this 35 minutes long and it, you know, it's time that I'm not sitting with my kids having a snack watching one of their shows or something. Anyways, I love you guys. I appreciate you guys. We're supposed to do streams every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. We did not do a stream Monday, Wednesday, or last Friday. So, I apologize for that, guys. Um going to try and make up for it tonight. Uh depending on how I'm feeling. But I'll see you guys later. I appreciate you so much. Peace.
