Is Hantavirus the Next COV🦠D? Medical Doctor Sets the Record Straight

[00:00:04]I'm Dr. Frita. I've been hearing a lot of misinformation and so I'm going to clear it up.

[00:00:09]I'm gonna talk about five things I've been hearing floating around, and I will tell you if they are a myth versus fact.

[00:00:16]Number one is the treatment for Hantavirus, ivermectin, zinc, and vitamin D.

[00:00:22]That is a myth. That is an absolute myth.

[00:00:25]There is no FDA approved treatment for Hantavirus at all.

[00:00:29]There's no cure. There's only supportive treatment.

[00:00:32]Number two, here in the United States, are there confirmed documented cases of Hantavirus?

[00:00:38]Have they just let everybody off of the MV Hondas and into the five states?

[00:00:42]That is a myth.

[00:00:44]Now, we do have people who we now know were on the cruise ship and we have now traced them in five different states.

[00:00:52]California, Arizona, Texas, Georgia, and Virginia.

[00:00:56]These people have not been confirmed to have haunted virus and they are being observed.

[00:01:02]Are they all being quarantined or isolated? No, they're not.

[00:01:06]Now, that's the truth. Number three, we know that the 69-year-old wife, the Dutch National, passed away after being in Johannesburg, South Africa.

[00:01:17]Is it true that some of the people with whom she came into contact are now sick?

[00:01:23]That is a fact. There are two people who are documented who have come into contact with the now deceased, 69-year-old wife, and they reportedly have tested negative for Hantavirus.

[00:01:36]One of them, a flight attendant, actually did have symptoms of some sort, but she has not tested positive for Hanavi.

[00:01:43]Number four, is there yet another suspected case of Hanavi?

[00:01:47]That is a fact.

[00:01:49]We now have five confirmed and four suspected cases of Hantavirus.

[00:01:55]This ninth person is in a remote island in the South Atlantic.

[00:02:01]Lastly, is Hanavi about to be the next COVID?

[00:02:08]Are we gonna have another pan situation?

[00:02:11]Well, according to scientists and infectious disease experts, no, it is not likely.

[00:02:17]Why? Because viruses like the C 19 virus are highly contagious.

[00:02:22]Whereas for Hantavirus, even the one that's spread person to person, this Andy variant, it requires very close contact.

[00:02:29]Sharing utensils, sharing cups, sneezing in each other's faces.

[00:02:32]Kissing, being married, being on a cruise ship, it requires close contact.

[00:02:36]And so that's not the typical virus that will cause a pandemic.

[00:02:40]Being honest, viruses can mutate.

[00:02:43]Okay, so we can't speak in absolutes, but as of now, we are not suspicious that this is going to be the next lockdown.
