You’ll Fail This Arabic Test

[00:00:00]I've been teaching Arabic for about 25 years and I don't know of any more profound sentence. In fact, if you understand this one sentence and if you master it, then you've already mastered 90% of the logic behind grammar.

[00:00:12]Whenever an intermediate student or an advanced student says that they can read comfortably without vowels, I present this sentence in front of them in order to test their understanding. And truth be told, the vast majority of them fail and they're not able to explain it properly.
